BOM is amazing and one of the best things LL brought to creators and residents. No more alpha glitches between my hair and hair bases. No more disappearing tattoos whenever I wear a top with any transparency. You can try skins from one head on a different head and sometimes they fit well. I can wear beauty marks, freckles, blush, tats, breast veins and whatever else all at the same time. I also adore mixing and matching a head skin with a different body skin and using a neck blender to seam them together. BOM was a game changer for me.

Traditional homes have been up and down on the land page all afternoon. They pop up here and there. Good luck finding your dream location!

I notice how the chalets end abruptly near the water. It makes me wonder what the moles have planned for the waterways there. I enjoy watching everything come together.

I gave up my chalet and rolled a near perfect cabin and after furnishing it and thanking my luck, my alt got on her scooter and went exploring. The area connects to a stilt island region. She was checking out all the prime real estate and talking to neighbors and people she saw along the way.

My chalet on Bachman is back in the pool. The chalets are large, and I did not get the cozy feeling I like. I have the landscape/furnishing build saved, so I can use it again. I got some pics before I abandoned it.

I finally rolled a Chalet I like on Bachman. The surrounding houses look decorated and very nicely too. I did not care if it was around water because I have my stilt and there is water everywhere there. I guess I know what I will be playing with all night 🙂

I have deja vu.

Someone hit it on the head here. When I was rolling a lot last summer, I was doing it to find my dream location where I planned to live. I was not collecting trophies. I think that is close to the line where people get annoyed; when you are not looking for a home but bragging rights. With that said, I let most things roll off me. The gluttonous nature of some people annoys me, but not enough to where it affects my experience in any big way. I do pay attention to people's feelings. I can not and will not carter to everyone's feelings (especially if I think they are wrong), but when enough people come forward to say something bothers them or upsets them then I think there is something to that even if it doesn't upset me personally. Furthermore, I would much more enjoy my excitement with a new area and a great roll with a handful of equally excited people who feel they lucked out as well.

I sometimes roll on a new Belli location just so I can find a new canvas to create on. Creativity is a driving force for me. Do I like the practice of scooping in and rolling every good parcel on a new sim? Not particularly, but only because I am not good at it! I also have listened to people here on the forums voice their displeasure about it enough to understand that it frustrates some, and I try to be understanding of that. I have been a regular roller for over a year now and move about every ten seconds according to my friends, but the best of the best parcels I've landed have been abandons - each and every time.

My premium was ending on my second account and for whatever reason, I rolled five times for old times sake. On the fifth roll, I landed my dream stilt parcel. I am not sure who tossed this one back, but THANK YOU! I will abandon my other stilt soon. I've been decorating for days 🙂

The first skin store that came to mind when I saw that mouth and nose is Pumec. They do have Lelutka skins and a lot of them look similar to this.

I use the sound explorer in the Firestorm viewer when I want to mute a sound. My neighbor had these super loud wind chimes with a repetitive like musical sound that I felt was going to make me want to delete myself. I pop up the explorer and pause the scrolling log and from there you can listen to the sounds and once you find the annoying one, you can blacklist it.

The Chalet's kind of remind me of the child of the log homes who married the traditional. I will deck one out to see how I like it, but I do not think they will be my favorite.

Like others mentioned, Genus skins work well on the Queen head. I also was able to get old pre-mesh skins to work well on it (not all but some). I also found my Genus shape worked. Over all, I like it.

I was able to get in and nab it. It did not deliver, and I had to hit the redelivery terminal on the way out of the sim. It is a lovely enough head. I was able to get a shape I liked using their extra shape sliders on their HUD. It was a total pain to get though. Here is what it looks like with their included shape (eyes edited with their HUD) and a skin demo I picked up at the skin fair.

I am busy stalking Flickr and the Skin Fair. I am planning to pick up an insane number of demos, try on every single one and then not buy anything because I already love what I already have . . . maybe . . . I do not know until I try on everything there!

I kind of sort of understand the basic sentiments of what you've been saying in these recent threads. My takeaway from your posts is that you want to make SL bigger, stronger, better and attract more people to the platform. You want to encourage greater creativity and reach new boundaries. I appreciate how much you want to improve and support SL. I respect your drive and ambition. Although I appreciate your energy, the problem with a lot of what you've posted lately is based on the fact that I am looking at it from the viewpoint of the average SL user. The vast majority of SL users are here as consumers. You are pitching to a niche market. You are driven and smart, but you view SL through your own perspective; that of a businessman. Most of us are not looking to make SL our careers because we already have those. SL could disappear tomorrow. I personally would never risk my RL financial security on the back of someone else's business. What you have is a service/product 37,000+ love and support. They are there because you produced a fun worthwhile pastime - one I have enjoyed for years (and would like to keep enjoying if only you would ever answer my IMs). You should not confuse that with love for you personally.

I have water under mine, but a nearby neighbor put a ground level patio with some furniture and underneath they extended the patio and put up a dance ball and created a little dancing space. It is cute.

I find that if I want to learn something, there are enough resources available - here and on the internet; blogs and YouTube etc - for me to learn. If I need a script, I have enough contacts to know who to contract for that work. If I want to have multiple locations, I go out and rent multiple locations. I once had an affiliation relationship with the previous owner of Frank's Elite. I gave her a fraction of my sales for the use of space on her popular sim which attracted people who were most likely to buy the stuff I sold back then. Furthermore, I had product in full service wedding sims. At any time if I wanted these relationships to change, I simply had to pick up my vendors and leave the sims. My point is, there are already all the resources/opportunities available that franchising would produce but without the loss of profit and hassle.

It is definitely the issue Rowan mentioned. Your tattoo has an alpha channel and so does your top and SL doesn't know how to render two alphas placed over the top of each other. The best fix for that is to use a BOM skin and tattoo and then your tops will look as they should.

A couple of days back, I updated my avie (and my profile pic here on the forums). I used the free head Lelutka gave out a Christmas. I put it on and then used a 60L weekend skin I got from Pumec. I like it, and you can not beat a 60L update! haha. I now have a resting b***h face!
