  1. Connecting Belli to the Blake would be amazing!
  2. I live close to you. I will have to boat over and gawk at your creativity.
  3. I adore the modern kitchen cabinets, Nando. I might have to invest in that set. ETA: I just looked it up and said I already own it. haha
  4. I am releasing a stilt on an edge with unobstructed views. There is a rez zone on the road just behind. I was trying to roll a stilt I want to make my forever home on this avie because my premium is paid up a year and then let the alt I have go back to basic (I don't want to pay for an additional account). This house is literally in the same identical copied sim as the one I am on already and in the same exact spot. I am not sure if it will be easy to nab with so many available right now. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Eastwind Marina/232/31/23
  5. I picked this Bamboo set up at the 25L Tuesday sale and I really like it. The bamboo looks great and it has two options for a border including one with a wall which is nice for creating some privacy on my stilt deck.
  6. Well that explains why they look alike to me. lol
  7. Here is the thing, if you really really really have your heart set on that body then you can probably make it work. You won't find clothes specifically for it, but you might find clothes that you can alpha out parts and make work. It will be a chore I am not going to lie. I had not heard of it and had to google it and it reminds me a lot of another body. It looks very muscular like the Tellaq bodies. You might be able to use clothes made for that body on the body you like. That might work or it might not. I don't think there are an over abundance of clothes for that body either. A lot of shirts and full length pants might be workable with the right alphas. Underwear, shorts and swimwear would be a big challenge. I would take the suggestions offered here and demo the body and then go to the Marketplace and get some clothes demos and see if you can make it work. Good luck!
  8. That's the one I released yesterday. It's a very nice parcel.
  9. I am going to release my water parcel I picked up the first day stilts released. It's very nice. I rolled one I like a little better yesterday so I will move there. I don't want to keep more than one when I know people are eagerly waiting for a stilt house. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Shining Sea/135/147/24
  10. Another thing to keep in mind. Once you get your parcel successfully linked (minus things with poses you want to keep scripted etc), highlight the link set and delete all the scripts. For example, my link set was 127 prims worth of stuff and when checked, that linked object had 65 scripts (from all the individual objects). It had curtains with texture change scripts, sizers, blah blah blah. Once you have your textures chosen and sizes set, you do not need all those scripts. Getting rid of them reduced lag for you and everyone on the sim.
  11. I create folders for each type of room and keep them inside my objects folder. I have a living-room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen etc. I have folders inside folders to sort things further and I sort things into the right place when I buy things. It looks like this:
  12. Oh yes, that is the white panels from @Chic Aeondeck kit. The foliage is wisteria from a store called LOVE. It’s made to hang over walls like that and very inexpensive and pretty.
  13. I’m not sure what shield you’re referring to? That patio part is actually a balcony addon for one of the traditional houses. I had to edit it to fit, but it’s only a few parts and it’s easy to do. I edited the canopy texture to be semi transparent. The slat white barrier is from @Chic Aeon It’s from her deck set and for sale in her store. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Balcony-Awning/17170655
  14. I finally finished all my tweaking and fiddling and changing and rearranging and have a result I love. I wasn't excited about the stilts but now I am loving them! My Tortuga: Updated Living area. I added a small room near the door (got the idea someplace else in this thread). Now I have a proper fireplace 🙂 I love my open concept kitchen! Outdoor patio 🙂
  15. I rezzed some land on part of my parcel and I chose on water so I could have land or not have land. I like to keep my options open! 🙂
  16. The curtains are called Muniick - Morgan Double Curtain. They are only 2 prims!
  17. I added walls and doorways to the other side because it was way too large for a bedroom for my personal taste. It now has three rooms on that side. I made one a game room and the other a bedroom and the third a bathroom (which I have no finished with yet).
  18. I can't decide on which house to use. This one is the Tortuga. Even though it's one level, it's really big and open. I struggled a bit on how to furnish the large great room. I like how it turned out after starting over 3 or 4 times.🙂 The living room kitchen area. I didn't end up buying the Trompe kitchen and chose to use one I had and build the top from pieces of the island and pendant lights I had.
  19. I love this! It looks amazing! I adore that tone of yellow (makes notes for my house) and my favorite color for homes is that green. I could move right in!
  20. I have to admit, after seeing some of these homes and rolling one, my apprehension has disappeared. I love them and I have enough privacy to feel good about it. I am getting so many ideas from this thread too. And I always have a water view!
  21. Amazing, @Chic Aeon! It is masculine but I love it. I made my inside light and bright but I am adoring the darker wood and colors in yours. Gives me some ideas!
  22. I got my stilt just in time to do a little outside Christmas decorating! I will take pics of the inside soon, although I consider that a work in progress.
