I sit on top of my cabin roof and watch all the Schooner and Lost Caves stilt hunters be disappointed on the daily. I am looking forward to new neighbors and watching what they do with their places.

The terrain textures of Bellisseria are one of the things I like about these regions. There is no way I would want to see the textures changed, so they coordinate with mainland textures on a map. Most mainland textures are unattractive. I would rather those be changed.

I hope you post pics when you are all done moving in!

I picked up Lami's and Ivy's Houseboat and I've been having a blast modding it. It drives very well and is easy to modify. I used a lot of the textures in the Linden homes creation packs. She will be sailing Belli soon! Belli Dancer!

Some people like to argue and debate over opinions. SL forums are full of good examples.

These look great, and you can't beat free. The first one is full perm. I think it will be fun to try to mod it and see what can be done with it.

I think people are confusing photorealistic with realism. What the OP means is imperfections which we all have in RL. Orfeu's skin and look is a good example of what I think has genuine realism; pores, forehead lines, wrinkles around the eyes etc.

The Tromp house and the one in the advert are the same house. The picture is flipped horizontally. And I am not sure why people speculating excitedly on a possibility of a new home being accidentally revealed in an advert became the first stage in an impending mob march on Trompe L'oeil. I think people are reading too much into animated gossip.

I would agree with you, but the picture suggests you have to go premium to get a home, and you do not have to be premium to own a home on a private estate.

Weird that they would use a resident creator's house in an ad for their homes. 😏

I thought to myself, "I am going to pop over there and look for some cheap decor for my log cabin house." I wanted some rustic stuff from their camping section maybe or something to scatter here and there. Not only that, but I cleared up some LI and that calls for shopping, right? Now I am the proud owner of a new hot tub, camping chairs, a patio set and an outdoor couch with stool. I haven't even made it to the camping section yet.

I definitely do. I suffer from PSA and as a result I have developed some anxiety over the years. I often have to ask myself (internally) how I will accomplish something that may be physically challenging or how I will feel when people react to me wobbling about like I am 90. I also have to talk myself through moments that may trigger anxiety. Over time, I have become good at talking myself down when my anxiety gets too elevated. I have become my own support.

I like the idea of functioning mailboxes a lot and Prokofy's suggestion. And I know the Moles just shut down the terraform suggestion, but I would be elated if I could terraform even 1 meter (or even half a meter). Just enough to put down a water prim and make myself a pond (or start adding little ponds to parcels here and there, so we can all fight over those plots 😄).

I had that with a Vic I had. I wasn't sure the purpose of it either, but I took the matching texture from my creator's pack and extended it and made it a walkway. Not all Vics have it. They are all a bit different when it comes to landscaping. Some people turn it into a driveway with a garage. I wish I had a better picture of what I used it for, but this is all I have. On the far right, you can kind of sort of see how I extended the cement up to my patio room.

I rolled a chalet and it was in a great location. I spent a day or two furnishing it and decorating it up, but could not feel at home in it for whatever reason (mostly because it was too big and did not feel cozy). I abandoned it and I then immediately rolled on a cabin and got the best location with awesome forum regulars for neighbors. I now have an amazing stilt AND a stunning cabin location. 😀

It seems to me that people are trying on BOM skins they simply do not like. People's tastes vary. That same skin could be added to an applier and my guess is that they still would not like it. BOM does not change the UV map in any way. The skin texture in an applier and the skin texture used on a system layer (BOM) are identical and being applied to an identical location. Also, as long as I have been in SL (BOM is not actually a new concept being as that is how we all wore skins back in the pre-mesh body days) lipsticks not fitting well across different skins has been an issue. I find one nude colored lipstick I like and that fits well and tint it the color I want at the moment.

BOM gets rid of a lot of the onion layers on newer released mesh bodies/updates and heads which reduced the mesh complexity and lag. It also bakes all your layers onto one texture, so you are not walking around with multiple textures which also makes things run smoother. I do prefer lipsticks/eyeshadow as an applier as I can adjust the transparency (all my BOM heads still have this option). BOM skin apply differently, but they are the same exact skin texture being applied to the same exact place. Akeruka recently released some of their newer heads and they use the Lelutka UV map (with Lelutka's permission I am told). BOM makes this great because now I can use all my BOM Lelutka skins on a new head which previously had little skin support. If my skins were all appliers, they would not work. Materials are handled by the mesh head HUD and body HUD. The bump and shiny can be turned down or off there. The BOM skin itself does not have bump/shininess. It is my belief that appliers are old content and will be phased out eventually.
