  1. It's the bling! The entire reason I bought that dress was the old-style flashing bling it throws off (and the fact that it came with jewelry, so I didn't have to guess at what might match.) I snicker each time I put it on. /me laughs at being called "classy." That's for city dwellers who live in fancy penthouses and go to expensive restaurants or exclusive parties. 😄 It was nice meeting you inworld. Next time, neutral ground. Your island is a bit intense.
  2. Yes, we should be trying to set good examples. It's way more positive and uplifting than constant rant threads where we accuse others of being unkind for imagined things in our own minds. After all, accusing people of things they're not doing really brings the mood down. I agree, shameful. We should all be careful not to just run our mouths and even more careful to assume best intent. I am grateful for having made the decision to empty my block list and engage with everyone and to be VERY careful before publicly accusing others of wrongdoing. I pledge to try to be self aware enough to look inside myself when I am upset about other's negative posts and to recognize hypersensitive ramblings designed to divide. I will accept that others will make mistakes and laugh at those who purposely lay bait. I will call out hypocrisy when I safely can within the forum guidelines and laugh at the rest. I will not allow people to use mental health issues or neurodivergencies as excuses to be jerks. I will watch juvenile name calling and childish accusations pass and be grateful that I am capable of some level of maturity no matter what character I am playing.
  3. I can't figure out how to block a person from my phone, so I'll have to visit their poopy, icky, creepy profile again from home. A tiny bit peeved.
  4. Peeve: When I can't tell from day to day or minute to minute what character someone is choosing to play. This is especially hard when the avatar rarely changes. If I make a mistake and interact with someone as an adult in the forums one day after they been roleplaying a child in other threads, I'd prefer not to get several half page rants and ARs complaining about how inappropriate I am or that I'm a perv, when the character in question doesn't say which they're playing at this moment. I'm kinda peeved I'll have to block someone whose posts have mostly been positive and kind just to stay safe if they change their mind later and decide to change character midpost and trap someone. It's sad. I don't want my forum entertainment to get even smaller. ☚ī¸
  5. Found this on a quick marketplace search. Luckily it has a demo. It doesn't actually say it's for mesh bodies. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Body-Flattener-DEMO/17757629
  6. Peeve along this line: D&D'ers ( hear me out 😄) Those who add nothing to a thread. They just vomit out a sentence or 2 hoping to get a negtive reaction from someone. They just lay bait and wait. Disrupt & Derail. D&D'ers
  7. Is this a new head for you or one you've been using for a while and this suddenly happened? You could get a redelivery and try a new copy of the head.
  8. Eek! Do you have on an alpha of some sort? Like a hair alpha that is not made your your head brand and UV mapping?
  9. I would love to see a "choose your perks" option. I have no need for a 100 groups or discounted texture uploads, or messages to email. I like land, stipend, and getting into full regions first. I also wish you could use the land benefits in any way you want. A P+ subscriber could choose 2 512s and a 1024 LH, use it all on mainland, or get 1 of the upcoming fancy LHs. A premium subscription could get you 1 1024 or 2 512 LHs or mainland. A basic plus could get one of the many empty 512 sakuras, Newbrookes, or campers, or the equivalent mainland size.
  10. I'm curious why is your partner annoyed by your use of a nonhuman av? Back on topic I am human for most of my SL, but occasionally for fun, I'll put on an animal like a hamster, sugar glider, petite, spider, or dinkie. I have several goofy avatars like a plate of peas, an eyeball avatar, a tiny house fly, stick figure, turkey vulture, Grendel, tree, or wisp that I'll put on for laughs. 99% of the time I'm just a plain, boring human.
  11. Interesting that a person didn't read a few posts back to see the the region owner is already working with the Lab to get it up again.
  12. Oh my goodness, but massive victim complexes are exhausting. Not everything is a personal attack and not everything is about you (general you.) Sure can take all of the fun out of a group chat inworld. Peeve: Debbie Downers (no offense intended if your name is Debbie, of course. I promise its not a personal attack)
  13. I cannot unsee that... /me presses her palms into her eyes and considers bleach drops.
  14. I've got just a couple people on my block list, but I do not agree that I should have control of what they see and do. Turn this around - if someone (or a whole group of people) block you then start a bunch of threads that exclude you from commenting on them, is that fair to you? You can't see it or respond to it, but people take screen shots or tell you what is happening in there in the thread that you can't see. Is it still fair? Say you like posting pics of your avatar in one of the 2000-page vanity photo threads, but the person who started the thread decides they just don't like you. They block you, now you can't post your photos or look at the other photos that have nothing to do with you. Still fair? There are so many ways that excluding others would not be right and could actually be used to troll others including you. The best tool we have is the "ignore" one. It won't matter if they respond to you because you won't see it (unless they are quoted by an unblocked person.) You have power to control your forum experience, just not the power to control what others see and do. That is as fair as you can make it.
  15. They do appear to be standing in judgment of you. Maybe they were partying in the dark and you turned on the light and exposed them 😄
  16. I have 3 email accounts. I never check my 2 personal ones unless I have to "verify my email address." I have to check my work one, but only when I am physically at work. I go to each emails home page (google/yahoo), login in, verify what I need to or use the search bar to find something specific and log out quickly. I don't maintain the accounts in any way and no one that knows me would try to contact me that way. If either company has capped my email storage and started deleting stuff, I would never know. New emails still arrive. I have no email apps on my phone at all. Email is not for communication. It only exists because I have to enter one on forms.
  17. What are you up to with that secret smile you're sporting??? Welcome back
  18. I prefer more conservative clothing as well, but I can't assign a sexual orientation to clothes. I was asking how you came to the conclusion that the entire body is not for straight guys. Not a joke. Just looking for clarification. Shopping for women's clothing that I like takes time. The skirts are to short, the shirts are too low cut, the heels too high for my tastes. This is a brand new body, so it may take time for creators to decide if they want to support it and to rig clothes for it if it becomes popular enough. You've already assigned "not for straight guys" to a body shape and fabric. I was curious how you got there a week or so after the body was released. Didn't mean to get you all defensive. Deep breath there buddy.
  19. Because straight men are never slender? Because straight men don't wear latex? I'm not following your line of reasoning. What are normal clothes? Are you offering to create something you find normal and acceptable to you?
  20. I know you're supposed to be an evil demon, but you're just so stinkin' cute.
  21. I think it's too expensive for what you get, too, so, guess what? I didn't pay for plus. No one has to. Premium Plus is not for everyone, but it is an option for those who WILL benefit from the extras. I don't feel like I DESERVE anything. I could play for free and not have any monthly costs. I'm not forced into a membership. No one else is forced to pay for a membership, either. You can always ask for a benefit. You can try to rally others to your viewpoint and try to convince the lab that they can make money on it, so it's a good business decision. I see a lot of people expecting to have everything that they personally want for cheap or free with no benefit to the business, just cuz they feel entitled to it.
  22. There will be people stopping by soon to tell you SL is not a game. You can choose to ignore them or, if you like drama, you can argue with them. Welcome to the forums, a place for discussion about SecondLife. Did you have a question or problem to discuss with others? What do you like to do? Explore? Learn how to customize your avatar? Build stuff? Jump right in to the adult stuff? What are you looking for in a friend? Do you have any real life hobbies? What kind of music do you like? We need a bit more than a statement that you are new. In your tiny little profile image (which you got attached like a pro btw) you look very young and you're flipping everyone off. Are you looking for others who also like to do this? If you are looking to troll others for entertainment, try the infohubs for like-minded peeps.
  23. @starladustangel I love the dark wood coloring of the kitchen! Would you mind sharing where you got that room divider with the shelves that is in the bedroom?
