    Peeve: Phones. I hate talking on the phone. If a conversation can be completed in a sentence or two, text it. Get to the point. Stop the chit chat. I have no patience today. That can be a peeve, too. This is the peeve thread, right? Some of you guys are very prolific posters driving threads at 4 pages an hour. I can't keep up. Still peeving. Oh, one more so I can get all my peeves out. Only 2 of my 5 accounts are on the BB page. I guess they're not that important. Whew! Okay, thanks for listening.

    I am not sure how my computer managed to get all my female alts in at the same time (could be all the cooing, encouragement, and gentle patting.) They are all very different, using different heads and different skins, but they all still kind of look the same. I still lose clarity in photos every time I turn on ALM and have no idea if there is a setting I am missing to get my pics clearer or if it is just my computer's limitations.

    Meeting SL friends in the real world has happened. Some couples have even married in real life. I have never met anyone from SL in real life, but not because I don't want to. It is because the all live in other countries or just really far away. Several of my sl friends have access to my real life, though, through other social media, but it took a couple years of friendship to get to that. I don't know anyone that lives near me well enough to meet them in person, yet.

    I don't know which viewer your using. In Firestorm click the "avatar" tab and go down to "avatar health" the choose "stop avatar animations" I hope I am remembering that right. Turn off rlv and restart the viewer?

    It's a couple days late, but last Sunday my SL looked like this. It was difficult to find a pic that didn't contain any out of bounds nudity, so perhaps this one from the back is okay.

    I always need some down time after big social events, so it's time for a nice quiet night at home. Comfortable, no one around, no conversations to keep up, just blissful silence and time to cycle through EEPs and filters.

    I love your spider avatars. I still use one from 7 or 8 years ago. It's passable, but your iridescent one here is amazing ❤️ I love spiders in rl, too. So cute and furry with those 8 little eyes (most of them) and fuzzy chelicerae. Squeeeeee! I just want to hug them.

    Hey all!!! Guess what?!?!?! Hippiestock is this weekend and guess who plays first. That's right. The guy who started this thread. I miss you @Hippie Bowman I'll definitely be there. I hope to see some of the rest of you, too. Even if you just stop by for a song or two. It'll be groovy! There have been sooo many forumites attending over the years and so many good memories.

    We've spent quite a bit if time talking about what "gamers" and those that already log in to other worlds expect or not when they log in to SL for the first time. Those people certainly exist in SL and probably are the early reasons SL stuck around as long as it has. I would guess (because I have no proof) that now there are many people, like Rowan and I, who are not gamers or tech minded people logging in for the first time without those expectations of instant gratification and entertainment. I think we may actually stay longer and persevere where others with previous experiences elsewhere don't. We are not expecting things to be like anything else and have no preconceivednotion of what it will be like inworld. It's ALL new to us, so we know we'll have to learn new things. Do we want new people or not? Do we care if a small number of gamers and visitors from other platforms come here and refuse to learn new things? SL isn't only for them. So, do we want to retain new users only with gaming and tech experience or do we want retain new users in general? Marketing to those will look very different and how do we make them want to return? Yes, being a new user is hard, but it's harder if you think you already know everything before you log in and you refuse to adjust your thinking when you don't.

    I seem to remember the Lab making an easy, simplified viewer years ago. Am I remembering that wrong? I don't know why that viewer didn't make it. Maybe it didn't have enough options and very few new accounts used it, but it would be nice to have an simplified option for the first few weeks for new accounts.

    If you re-rez the house model, the window issue will probably fix itself. Save your custom wall colors first and it will reset any names you put in your house controller.
