  1. Well then you will already receive 300 L$ every week from LL (and a 1500 L$ bonus after 45 days), which will help get you started on your SL ventures.
  2. But they still only took action if the TOS was violated. And they did rely on being summoned or seeing a AR - they didn't just wander the mainland looking for violations to handle.
  3. The link was posted along with the picture: Or are you talking about the original picture in the opening post?
  4. I'm not sure there are really enough of you willing to pay the amount that would be needed to hire the full time folks that would be required to properly police a specific area. And paying residents to do it would truly lead to problems. When SL was created, LL decided to stay as hands-off as possible. Creating an area that they always have to very tightly police is counter to that.
  5. So that you don't get in trouble, you need to modify the post to remove the IM text - not allowed to post that here. You can instead, simply summarize the gist of it - though you also are not suppose to specifically name / call-out people here.
  6. Actually, I do not. When my husband and I purchased our home, we specifically made sure we were in a location that did not have any HOA rules on what we could do. The only rules we have to follow are the City's building codes, which take care of controlling the basics. Some of us prefer full freedom in our individual choices.
  7. Interesting. For me, # 1, 2, 4, 7, and 9 would be 'always', #3 is same as you, #5 would be 'seldom', #6 definitely a "never". For #8 - I pretty much never receive calls, texts, or emails from people outside of my immediate family, but I also don't send any. I've always felt the introverts were those that can do social situations (though it might be difficult), but they get worn out from them - they "truly need" alone time to recharge. Whereas I have met some extroverts that are simply shy in new surroundings, but come fully out of their shell once they warm to the crowd a bit - regardless of where they are or how big the crowd is. Even if a bit shy at first, they truly need the crowd to be energized.
  8. That's basically what I did in RL Hahaha, me too - in RL that is.
  9. Do you sell that thing? If so, where? If not, then you should.
  10. I will say that the place is not near as active as it was in the first few years (similar to many places in SL), thus it is often empty. We do still have the occasional planned party though and sometimes you'll find a random gathering happening there on a Friday evening. For those that don't know the place and are considering popping over, the folks there do talk in general chat, with some conversation also going on in the group chat - IMs being reserved for those special conversations people truly want to keep private. There is actually a HUD that Gadget created that will tell you if anyone is at the Hangout. You can get it via the MP (search Forum Cartel) and I've been meaning to drop a box at the Hangout itself. Additionally, if you want to just get a feel for some of the folks, there is an inworld group where you can lurk and listen to group chit chat -- though that also happens at random times.
  11. Almost everyone on my Friends list came from the inworld Forum Cartel group and Hangout location. Back in 2007 when I discovered SL, I discovered the forums at roughly the same time. Shortly after that discovery, there was a group of forum folks that were wanting to create an inworld location for meeting and hanging out together. Despite my loner nature, I got brave and went to the initial meetings, hanging way out on the fringes at first. After the Hangout was built, I made myself go there every day and talk to at least one person. I then got super brave and volunteered to help host the first New Year's Eve party - which forced me to greet everyone that arrived and talk to them. Somehow, through all of that, I managed to start feeling comfortable with some of the people and started spending more of my inworld time there. Eventually, they became my SL family, so to speak. I don't hang out there as much as I used to - the place isn't as active as it was back before my long break from SL. As anyone will tell you though, I am not one for single conversations, thus I almost never IM anyone on my friends list - usually only talking to them when we are at the Hangout. I still have a very hard time with initiating conversations.
  12. Yeah, but pretty much the same as your back hating you if you had the huge breast size combined with the tiny body that many have -- and then wear 8-10 inch heels everywhere you go.
  13. I always chuckled at the fact that there was pretty much always a Small, XS, and even XXS, but yet seldom anything bigger than Large, which really was not very large in the true scheme of thing (though a few creators did make XL). It definitely highlighted the fact that so many of the females in SL were super skinny.
  14. That is what I've said from day one, but apparently you will first have to be Premium and then pay a fee on top of that.
  15. The "doubling" is an interesting concept, though I think they have already said that even the first one will cost something.
  16. Well, typically I make the coffee the night before and set the timer - at least during the week. If he gets up first on the weekend and the pot isn't ready to turn on, he will make a pot because he wants it also - he's just not as grumpy as me without it.
  17. Linden Homes have guidelines / rules. You can also get plenty of those sorts of places on private estates. LL shouldn't need to waste time policing another huge mainland community.
  18. That could be see as 'Name and Shame' which would be in violation of the Community Standards
  19. During work days, I jump into the shower immediately after getting out of bed. Very soon after my husband and I started living together, I would get out of the shower to find a cup of coffee waiting for me on the vanity. Apparently I was a bit too grumpy for his liking when I would go downstairs to get it myself. He has continued that to this day.
  20. Ugh, got pulled into a work prod outage issue even though I am typically not an on-call after-hours person. Sucked up all of my evening and now it is bedtime. No SL fun for me today. ☹️
  21. Yeah, that pretty much makes no sense. Apparently you are just odd I went from a standard size small to between a small and medium, which is more what I'd expect to happen.
  22. The mesh body adds to the overall size of the system shape that you wear. So if you wear system shape of Standard Size Small and then a mesh body over that, your mesh body size will be bigger than Standard Size Small and thus those mesh items will not fit right. You can edit the shape and further reduce it to maybe make the Standard Size Small fit, but it is usually just easier to wear mesh clothing specifically made for the mesh body you are wearing. Granted, depending on the rigging, even then you might need to use alpha cuts, but it will typically be a better fit.
  23. I'd also recommend removing the Link to the place as that is really the same as naming
  24. I now do this for any outfit that is using any sort of applier and/or any alpha cuts. I use to just add the applier HUD to the outfit, but then it still had to be 'applied' and possibly other stuff removed. I also used to create an auto-hide prim to any outfit needing alpha cuts, but swapping between outfits that have auto-hide stuff in them didn't always unhide/hide the proper things. That prompted me to just make copies of the bodies. And yes, I find that all frustrating since that totally defeats the purpose of Outfits with Links. I've not had to deal with a Maitreya body update yet. However, I have very few Outfits that I keep long term -- usually only special photo stuff or some holiday stuff or special outfit for a particular location. Mainly this is because I have so much clothing in my inventory, that I can't see a reason to wear something twice (the primary clothing items -- not the underwear, shoes, jewelry, tats, or hair). Thus I usually only have a single 'current' outfit that I keep updated to whatever I'm currently wearing. When I change outfits every day or so, the majority of the time, the clothing portion of that outfit gets trashed - unless it is something special that I want to keep. Overall, that means I have very few folders that contain an actual copy of the Maitreya body.
  25. Clock is not how I initially read that
