Does it take a while for the inworld map to update for everyone. I just logged in - first time since logging out about 10:00 pm SLT yesterday - and they are still showing for me in that original SSP location, though they are not showing on the SSP version that has already been placed south of Sansara (don't remember if they were ever in that location or not).

Mostly this is true, but I did add the following to my profile after I returned to SL a couple of years ago and it has reduced the number of random sex request IMs: "I'm not interested in an SL relationship, nor am I interested in any SLex encounters." (or maybe I just don't get out enough anymore) I used to change my profile quote every month or two, but then I tired of doing that and couldn't decide on a permanent one, so currently it says: [Some witty comment or quote that would theoretically make me interesting] Most things in profiles just make me laugh or roll my eyes, but yeah, this one really annoys me big time. I've just started adding those stores to my "never shop at" list. The ones about "mess with my family...." or anyone bragging about their 'master' abilities are pretty much the dumbest ones I've seen. Unreadable characters or text speak just means I definitely won't talk to them. Anything about drama means there will be lots of drama, so again I won't ever talk to them. Anything with lots of in-your-face porn shots gets reported immediately. Even though our profiles are supposed to stay G rated, I'm okay with most adult stuff, but not XXX.

I'll try inworld sales first in order to avoid the 15% commission. The problem with the auction, in my eyes, is the fact that my account will end up with tier fees if the land doesn't sell and bounces back to me - whereas currently, I pay no tier fees because the land is in the group and the tier is donated by multiple Premium accounts. Thus that part combined with the 15% fee will keep me probably trying to continue to just sell inworld.

A couple of days ago, every 3rd or 4th TP would stall out. Yesterday and today I've been bouncing all over the grid without any issues at all.

I'm not a land flipper and have only ever bought and sold land that I was living on - selling when I either needed to downsize for some reason or decided I wanted to move to a different location. If I happen to have a parcel that is edged by a void sim or by sailable water, I most definitely do not think that I should be forced to go to the auction -- and give LL part of the selling price - if I want to sell it for more than L$1 per sqm. Prime real estate gets a higher per sqm price because it is just that --- PRIME real estate. Land can be priced at crazy amounts, but eventually someone will either pay that crazy amount or the owner will reduce the price. The market will decide.

In the upper right of the forum page, you will see your name. Click the arrow next to that and you'll get a drop down of options, one of which is Sign Out. That will then let you log into the forums using whichever account you really want to be posting under......... So that you don't have to keep saying that you are not 'justme'.

Figures - once I report the problem, it goes away. I TP'd all over this evening and never once had a TP stall on me, thus never had to hit the cancel button.

It looks like you did it right.

Current speculation is that those are mobile / trailer homes.

I have a variety of things from them. Many dirt cheap items that are also full perm. Discovered the store back when I was looking for a dog house.

LOL, too true. All of the JIRAs are BUG-xxxx regardless of type (actual bug or feature request), but this one was created as a 'Feature Request'.

I think that is it -- I'll verify the next time it happens. It only happens when I cancel what appears to be a stalled TP and then immediately do the TP again. As I mentioned, when I close the message box, I end up actually getting deposited where I was trying to go - most of the time anyway.

Well, given how Trailer Home parks seem to draw tornadoes, putting one up next to a mountain range might be a good idea. I know that I live close enough to the foothills in Denver that the tornadoes go right over my area and land further east.

Ahh - a recent issue came to the forums and Whirly replied with info on how to avoid the problem:

I use Firestorm and have clicked the "Always show the Teleport cancel button". Lately - a few weeks or so - I have been experiencing lots of these random TP stalls -- a few every day. The progress bar goes a teeny tiny bit and then stalls. I then hit the Cancel button and redo the TP. It almost always tells me that the TP is blocked, but then immediately puts wherever I was trying to get to. A few times, it left me where I was, and once I crashed out from it.

It is totally specific to driver versions, but I don't recall which ones are the issue, but it is a more recent driver version. There are threads here in the forums about it, with Whirly usually providing the user with a link to an older driver version that works ok. I had bookmarked the JIRA, but forgot to bookmark any of the threads with the specifics and Whirly's fixes.

I had this happen once. I made sure I was logged out of my Dashboard and then I cleared cookies in the browser. Then I was good to go. I never figured out exactly what the issue was, but didn't really care since it got resolved.

While your problem may be similar to the multiple different ones mentioned in this old thread, we won't know for sure until you provide some specifics: - Are you talking about a Linden Home or regular Mainland or a Private Region? - Are you using the official LL viewer for SL or a third party viewer (Firestorm, Catznip, etc...)? - Do you actually OWN the land yourself or does a Group own it? If a Group owns the land, do you have the permissions in the group to Abandon the land. Best way to answer the above questions, giving us all pertinent info/details is to bring up the About Land window and paste a screen shot of it here.

The actual "plot" of this thread has nothing to do with military spending at all. One cannot really evaluate what a country spends their money on without also taking into account how much is spend per person and how much is spend based on their GDP, in addition to the 'totals'. ALL of the figures are pertinent to a well informed non-biased discussion. Throwing out a single statistic is way too common in our media these days. Toss out a single statistic and you can shock people. Give the same statistic in various comparisons and there is a chance at a more realistic discussion.

Often, comparing spending "totals" doesn't give a very accurate picture.
