  1. Interesting. I don't see any cog thing on the web page. Can you screen shot that? Never mind, found it on my web profile page. I was looking at the Friends section of the main Dashboard page.
  2. How? I click the Manage link and don't get access to anything really. I simply see the name of one of my friends that is currently online.
  3. Can you tell me how to do this? I am not seeing it. Even though there is a "Manage" link under your Friends section on your dashboard, best I know there is no way to tick/untick the 'Can see me online' box from there.
  4. You can only Teleport to places/land. A Group is not an inworld place, thus you cannot teleport to a Group. As Rolig said, many groups do own inworld land and their Group descriptions will often contain the SLURL to said land. It is thus the Group land that you are actually teleporting to.
  5. You can't. You cannot change the texture of any Mainland. You can place an object over the top of it with any texture you like. There are various prim/sculpt/mesh objects for that that you can buy. As to the funky ridge, turn on the land borders so you can tell for sure if it is the next parcel or part of yours. If it is on your land, you can put in a Support ticket to have LL come look at it. There are all sorts of oddities that sometimes happens with Mainland - some can be fixed.
  6. Given a typical skybox rental parcel and how seldom multiple accounts might be online at the same time, I think it is a rather ingenious way to save on resources. Not everyone is in SL for the same reasons. I seldom pay much attention to the areas around my home, other than derendering anything totally obnoxious, so it wouldn't bother me much to have something like this going on near my home. Since you don't like that type of setup, you should definitely ask questions and investigate any new rentals that you consider when you are ready to move.
  7. Besides the Character Test, you can find her in 'Library / Clothing / Older Outfits / Girl Next Door #1' - though her shoes don't fit right anymore because the old way of hiding the feet for heels doesn't work anymore. Gosh, isn't she cute:
  8. We didn't have the WB channel when I was a kid - just the 3 main ones you listed. We sure as heck had a lot of Warner Bros. cartoons though, many of which probably couldn't be shown today because they are too violent or politically incorrect in one way or the other. The only cereal I liked as a kid was Grape Nuts because it took forever for it to get soggy in milk and I detested soggy cereal. I'm not really a cereal person as an adult, though I do like freshly cooked oatmeal (not any of that packaged flavored crud).
  9. This was a post by Jagix Linden in another thread recently, but I think it applies here just as well. Something to keep in mind when you consider simply 'bumping' threads in the future.
  10. My derail post of the day - a news article that made me truly gag. "Smartmouth Brewing Company brewed up a new IPA using marshmallows just like those colorful, dehydrated chunks of sweetness you'd pick out of the Lucky Charms box. It's called Saturday Morning, because that's what Saturday mornings used to be for: Rushing downstairs at an ungodly early hour early to pour yourself the first of six bowls of sugary cereal while watching bad cartoons on the WB. Ah, the good old days."
  11. I just noticed this, so I've posted the same warning under each of those four posts elsewhere on the forum. And I have now reported them all, though I imagine I'm not the first and thus given the time frame, I'm a bit surprised there still here.
  12. They've been running news articles for SW CO reminding them to shovel their roofs. Spring a few years back, we got a few feet of yucky super wet snow that caused all sorts of roof issues around here. This winter, almost all of our snow has been pretty wet, which is unusual for us. Typically only super early and very late season stuff is wet, with everything from Nov through Feb being very dry powdery snow.
  13. Specifically, this link off of the page Cindy pointed to: https://lindenlab.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new You need to actually open a Support Ticket.
  14. And this first outfit is???? Hopefully, it comes in many other color options, since I am not a 'pink' kinda gal.
  15. Read this every day, you'll discover all sorts of new ways to part with your money: http://seraphimsl.com/
  16. You guys are going so fast on this one, it would take hours to catch up. This at the top of page 4, which is the first new post for me. Almost 4 pages to read.
  17. Spent almost the entire day dealing with a migraine. While I love getting a day off work, most definitely not for this reason. For once, I'm looking forward to actually working tomorrow.
  18. Yeah, I choked a bit when I tried it on while going through old items for clean-out. I loved the way it flowed though. So I set up an outfit & took a pic, and then tossed it into my 'Keep for nostalgia but Never wear' folder (because some things I just like too much to trash, even if I won't ever wear them again). I actually find quite a few old items with pretty high CI values while cleaning out old inventory folders, though no others have managed to cross the 2 million mark, and only a few have crossed the 1 million mark. If I like the outfit, then it gets tossed into a folder where I eventually figure out accessories for it and take a pic. Then it goes into the Nostalgia folder, never to be worn again. I did a picture of a gorgeous Christmas gown over the holidays that came in at just shy of 600,000. Given how much I used to buy super flowy gowns, I have no doubt that I'l find more of those really high CI outfits as I continue to work my way through the old stuff.
