  1. Well, the JIRA is not a forum in any way - i.e. like these forums where we discuss things. It is a ticketing system for reporting bugs and feature requests. JIRA is discussed enough around here that I figured all the older folks knew about it.
  2. I had that issue also, but I found it via the Destinations pages
  3. There is already a JIRA for that - https://jira.secondlife.com. Why would LL want to manage another area for requests? As to the 'non-members' part (which I think is what you meant), non-members wouldn't know what is or isn't available in SL, so them asking for features seems a bit absurd.
  4. I sure as heck wasn't the least bit worried about anything. I already know that online status cannot be truly hidden. I just wanted to make sure my notes for answering questions here in the forums were accurate.
  5. I might have to give it a whirl. Wonder how many Firestorm only features I use regularly that will drive me nuts not to have.
  6. If they weren't going to implement an MP specific block list, they probably should have given each Merchant a tick box for whether or not they wanted their inworld block list to apply to the MP. At least then, the Merchant can decide what works best for them. I love the consumer related changes they've made to the MP.
  7. Definitely not - at least not anymore. Way back in the day, I got way too many odd looks from people when I mentioned SL - that was back when SL was, I think, more well known, but not necessarily for good things. My kids do know that I have an account here, though I have no clue on whether they know that I'm still fairly active on SL - none of the kids live at home anymore. My husband absolutely hates SL and pretty much just tolerates it. I talk about forum stuff with him, but seldom ever talk about inworld stuff to him. My mom is the exception. Back in my early days here, I introduced her to SL - she needed something to occupy some of her time when she was laid up at home for a while. She used SL actively, via 3 or 4 accounts, for many years. However, she hasn't logged on in a couple of years now. I can still talk to her about SL though.
  8. I think part of this is because in the olden days the textures were limited to 512x512. Now they can use 1024x1024 and that does make quite a difference. When I came back to SL and got a mesh body in mid-2017, this was very much true. I was very limited in what skins were available for me to use with my classic head and for the few creators that still sold them, it was often their older skin lines (so possibly still using those 512x512 textures). However, I have noticed that more skin ads are now showing 'System layer included for Bakes On Mesh'.
  9. Note that if his "Linden Land" is actually a Linden Home, then the only option is to Abandon it and then go buy something, with both of you contributing your 1024 sqm tier towards it. Nobody can buy land in the sims where the Linden Homes are. Even if you managed to get lucky enough to get 2 Linden Homes next to each other, that land cannot be combined either.
  10. Oh! Creepy! Not where I was going with that question! I was assuming a parent or guardian? I noticed where his hand 'appears' to be and thought the same thing as Donna. eek
  11. The one in your picture looks like the bottom is roughly at crotch-line. I have these two in my inventory that are close. The Ryvolter hits just above crotch-line and the LucyShoes one is about even with crotch-line. Ryvolter - Aria Denim Jacket -- It is from a gacha in the store (L$75 per play), but the MP has a variety of them at various prices Store SLURL: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fashion/149/181/37 LucyShoes - Mesh Oversize Denim Jacket - L$50 at the store, upper floor - only in standard mesh size, but a few of the sizes fit me fine Store SLURL: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fashion/149/181/37
  12. Based on what Dakota just said, this section could be for things such as "Which female mesh body do you prefer and why?" or "What prosthetic (android) body parts have you used and which do you like best?". Basically, just rephrase any specific question as a discussion.
  13. I unticked the checkbox for one of my alts to see me online - via the mysecondlife webpage. Then logged myself and her in. She still shows me on her Friends list, but I do appear to be offline. I couldn't find any other "contact list" that I was temporarily removed from. What contact list are you talking about?
  14. Of course they do. They are a corporation, after all. I was simply implying that there likely are quite a few people buying those non-romantic cards or they wouldn't keep selling them. Thus, at least in the markets where they do offer the non-romantic cards, it must be a fairly popular concept with folks.
  15. Apparently the friendly ones only sell well in certain places then. Other places think of Valentine's day as a romantic thing only - my guess.
  16. Go to your MP Order History and select Redeliver for the item. Click your name at the top of the MP page. Click Order History on the left. Find the item purchased and click Redelivery -- assuming it is able to be redelivered.
  17. LL doesn't really have time to monitor every thread and post here on the forums. Thus, even is something violates the posting rules, LL usually only knows if someone reports it. Not everything that violates the rules gets reported.
  18. The last information on the Grid Status page (https://status.secondlifegrid.net/) about Facebook was posted last Nov and is shown below. Since there is no more current update, then I'd guess the problem still exists.
  19. No. He could have a HUD or an object rezzed inworld that contains a script notifying him when people log in and/or out. You online status is always easily available to scripts.
  20. Hallmark sells Valentine's Day cards in the following categories: For 'relationship' of Brother, Sister, Child, Mother, Father, Family, Granddaughter, Grandson, Grandmother, Grandfather, Nephew, Niece, Everyone, and quite a few more. As well as a variety of 'tones', which include "General Wish". Thus there must be a pretty good business for non romantic cards. Hallmark isn't know for continuing to sell cards that don't get bought.
  21. He might have some sort of Avi tracker running that notifies him rather than relying on the Friends thing doing it.
