I sent that one to my son and he came back with: If that was a Husky, he'd be asking "How do I unlatch this window?" 🤣 So true, so true.

My younger sister and I both always got new stuff because we were vastly different in sizing. Lucky her, cuz she hated my taste in clothing anyway.

What behavior do you find off-putting?
LittleMe Jewell replied to Robberinthemuseum's topic in General Discussion Forum
This ^^ Unless I'm at the Forum Hangout inworld. It is typically a small and close-knit group of folks and so when we do gather for a party or something, we do carry on a lot in local chat -- specifically because we are intentionally trying to invite everyone into the conversation. -
Nobody asks for permission from the various dance venues before people write about them in blogs or publish them in a list of dancing places, etc.. In RL, when folks ask me about good places to take a first date or a good place to go dancing, I don't seek the permission of any venue that I mention. I don't see that you should have any say in whether or not someone else wants to claim that your location is a great place to take a date (or not a great place) and the 'why' of such.

In this day and age, even blonde jokes are considered not politically correct because there are plenty of true blondes out there that are actually smart. Or is it okay to still offend some groups of people? Truth is, you pretty much cannot tell a joke about any person or group of people. Have to stick to animals and objects.

My mind did not even see it that way. My mind just thought 'dumb dude'

You really need some leggins or something under that coat. You are going to freeze your little tushie off. 🤣

I have so many days where I log in and then start cleaning inventory or building something and I never leave my skybox. I can do the building by just camming outside the skybox onto the building platform -- why bother walking out there? -
Editing the Viewer's Look & Feel

Yeah, well, you aren't the only one. Nobody actually provided the credentials of the 'UI professionals', so...... This would also be why she said (with me highlighting her opinion on the statement): -
OMG - The drama on Nextdoor is as bad as FB, which is like Junior High all over again. I quit that place really fast.

Before the Covid days, I hadn't been sick enough to be 'down for days' since more than a decade earlier when I smoked and got bronchitis every year. When Covid came around, I managed to avoid it until fall of 2022. Since then, I tend to pick up the crud my husband brings home on a more frequent basis, but my version of it is usually nothing more than a sniffle or so - thus not really impacting my life at all. This one really hit me hard.

I have a saline gel that I use for my nose when it gets really dry or irritated -- Denver has no real humidity to speak of, so dryness is something we are always fighting. I've not heard of it for the lungs though -- definitely going to check that out. I've always said that my garlic intake is what keeps me from getting every little thing that my husband brings home from his office. I typically get sick about one out of ever 10 times that he gets sick.

With a bit of searching, you can find freebie things for your avatar. Quality varies, but there is some nice stuff out there.

Mine also started on New Year's Eve -- my husband's started on Christmas Eve and was mostly gone by New Year's. Sniffles and then dry nose, rinse repeat. Super sore throat, mostly from the nasal drainage down into the throat, coughing and even really dizzy one day. Was off & on tired most of last week, taking a short nap after work each day (since I WFH, I did work at least part of each day). Then yesterday the cough moved from the throat down into the upper chest, making everything hurt when I cough. I went down for a nap at Noon and slept until 5:30 pm. Got up and ate some soup that my husband fixed me. Back in bed at 6:15 pm and didn't wake up until 9:15 this morning. I'm not tired anymore, but the sniffles, sore throat, and cough are still there, and now I've got a bit of the chills/hot flickering back and forth. I don't remember the last time I've felt this icky - it wasn't even this bad when I got Covid 2 years ago. I did take a covid test a few days ago, but it was negative. So maybe RSV or just a bad URI.

But... how do you know if it is back up until you log in? If only I could blame my constant desire to slap folks on something other than me getting older and just not having much patience anymore with IDIOTS.

Based on the care needed for my Father-in-Law, my husband and I both applied for Long Term Care insurance many years ago. My husband was approved and we pay premiums for such. I was denied because I have a COPD diagnosis, even though it is a very minor issue at this time. Apparently that diagnosis makes it more likely that I'll need extended care and thus I cannot get insurance for it. Whereas my husband is more likely to die from a heart attack and not needed extended care - and thus he can get the insurance. *sigh*

when is LL gonna fixx the login issue?
LittleMe Jewell replied to Denny Farlight's topic in General Discussion Forum
Just because it is on the Grid Status page does not mean that it is a "general SL issue". If it were impacting a majority of SL users, you can bet that the problem would not still be happening 2 weeks later. Maybe you should try not being so rude to folks when you are asking for help.
