  1. The new server testing is ongoing on Magnum, LeTigre & Bluesteel sims, as soon as one server gets released onto the main grid they just start testing the next one. More info on: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Beta/Magnum
  2. You have a Ghost inworld preventing you from logging in and showing you as already being online. Go to the login screen and set your start location to "Smith". Then keep trying to login, ignoring the error message each time it comes up. Your Ghost will refresh approx once every 15 mins & you need to hit that gap to get in. Once you are in, TP to the last couple of locations that you were at before your last logout/crash & you should be able re-merge with your Ghost. More suggestions on this thread: http://blogs.secondlife.com/message/424221#424221
  3. Here is a repost of the pic Peggy....Hope OP gets replies in email or he won`t be able to scroll this page either hehe
  4. OK this is gonna sound really obvious or I am missing something here, but why don`t you drag that scroll bar on the right side of the screen in your picture down to scroll the window?
  5. OK that helps to know that everything works fine without the graphics. Next I would login and go to your graphics settings in preferences and start but turning them all down to minumum & then generally fiddling with things in there to see where the problem lies. If you are still able to edit the title of your thread, you could also add the name of your graphics card in there and hopefully catch the attention of someone that knows more about that specific card.
  6. You didn`t say which router you use, as there are some that cause similar sudden death crashes after always the same amount of minutes. Did you change your Router when you upgraded or is it one that has always worked with SL before? To check if it is definately related to your graphics card, as the message suggests (though sometimes those messages are totally unrelated to the problem lol ) try installing a client with no graphics (such as Radegast) and see if you still get kicked offline with that.
  7. What Router do you have? Is this a new problem and things used to work ok? What have you changed since SL last worked properly?
  8. La información que usted necesita está en esta página: http://secondlife.com/corporate/brand/trademark/ tal vez usted puede conseguir lo tradujo.
  9. Did you recently update your Graphics card drivers? If so that could explain how your problem is connected with the starry cloud issue. Checkout this thread: http://blogs.secondlife.com/message/596697#596697 from about halfway down when the recent posts start, not the stuff that is a year old
  10. You just need payment info on file to be account verified & that will get you into adult search & adult sims. If you are outside of the US you will need to buy the minimum amount of Lindens to get payment info onto your account. Alternatively you can go through the Age verification process, which will get you all the same things as account verified, plus access to sims/parcels that the owner has specified as Age Verified only.
  11. The perils of expensive "no copy" items Occasionally such items can suddenly reappear in a day or so, but don`t count on it. To give you some glimmer of hope, there is some weird place like "Room 101" where all these things accumulate and every now and then LL clears it out and you suddenly login one day to find you have 3 Chims & a load of other stuff you haven`t seen for 6 months. I appreciate that probably doesn`t help for today, but they may not be gone forever
  12. If your response to Peggy trying to help you is an example of your normal forum attitude, it would be you that such a button would be used on the most.
  13. If you return objects and they keep coming back, switch off "object entry" (in about land options tab) it may be that someone has a rezzer on a neighbouring parcel that is rezzing something that is entering your plot & it may just be rezzing temporary prims that you keep returning but the actual rezzer doesn`t get returned because its not on your land. Just a thought
  14. Tikki Indigo wrote: ok, when you click refresh, you can see who has prims there, the icon next to them is a gray head. The one I saw had a yellow head next to it and everytime I returned it, it came back. I am on Phoenix 373. Like I said the only "icons" I know of are the 2 that show if the name refers to a person or a group. Yes, the one for a person is a head & when the prims are owned by a group its some sort of pile of blocks or whatever that thing is supposed to be lol The head is lit up if the person is online. Is that what you are talking about?
  15. Which icons? The ones just saying if its a person or Group owned objects? Can`t say I recall there being many icons there, unless its a V2 thing, do you have a pic of the ones you don`t understand?
  16. You can absolutely go higher than 4096m, but not for any practical purpose...I have flown up over 1,000,000m too...its quite a trip to see your avvie destabilise and look like its melted LOL 4096m is just the height of the sim, in the sense that all sim functions will work within that height, all prims will be counted & can be tracked/returned using about land & searching for objects using top scripts in the estate menu will search up to that height. Also if you sent an object up into space from the ground by changing its height to some high number, it would stop at 4096m.
  17. Stefan Mexicola wrote: OK but what if you are on a Mac like me, and dont have internet explorer? Will Safari do the same thing? Are you getting the SSL Handshake Failed message on a Mac?
  18. Technically a sim is a huge box that is 4096m high, so outside of that is regarded as offworld, but inside that height you are still on that sim & should be able to do all things you can do at lower heights. There are some items with old scripts that still don`t seem to know that the world has changed and I have a gadget that rezzes things and if I am up too high the items automatically still rezz at 768m (the old max height).
  19. Camden McAndrews wrote: There might be a technical argument for cleaning out moribund avatars: Each time a message goes to the group, the server has to check every group member to see if that member is on line. That's a lot of accesses to the database. Group notices would be similar; having notices and inventory offers stacking up in dead accounts and then checking to see if they have expired must put a significant load on the asset server. I suspect (but don't know) that if everyone cleaned out the dead wood, group chat would be noticeably improved. I'm thinking about the time that Linden Lab noticed that half the accounts log on only one time, and based some key business decisions on that observation. My guess is that the great majority of those one-timers were intentional--spammers, freebie grabbers, spies, and other mischief. That would up to a heck of a lot of clutter. Beyond the technical question, it depends on whether you think clutter in the list of members is a good thing or a bad thing. It's good (albeit deceptive) if you boast about the number of people who are in your group; bad if people would be using your group to find other people. Interesting theory. Each dead account would ofc be capped after 25 items of clutter, but you could have a point that all the unnecessary system checks may effect the overall smooth running of SL. Now we can blame the lag on all the dead bodies
  20. I never kick people out with reason, as they aren`t doing any harm, but I guess if they annoy you being there you can.
  21. Lots of people go Premium from day 1 so that shouldn`t be a factor, I would definately call the free number when you want to give them money LL are very nice to you hehe
  22. Are you outside of the US? If so, new policy is that you need to actually use billing info to get it onto you account and not just enter it. So buying the minimum amount of Lindens will do it. Having said tha,t I would have thought that upgrading to premium would also do it because you would be using the info for that too. When you try to upgrade your account, does it tell you that you have to enter billing info first? If so, I would call the Toll Free billing number, because it is silly to have to buy Lindens so that you can buy an upgrade. Toll-Free (US/Canada) 800.294.1067 Long-Distance 703.286.6277 Our Billing team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Local Toll-Free numbers * France: 0805.101.490 * Germany: 0800.664.5510 * Japan: 0066.33.132.830 * Portugal: 800.814.450 * Spain: 800.300.560 * UK: 0800.048.4646 * Support is in English Only
  23. If you can`t see it with Ctrl Alt T & you can`t select it, but you can bump into it, then it is most likely a Ghost prim from something that was there and didn`t delete correctly. A sim restart will get rid of it.
  24. If you suck at decorating, you can always hire a decorator. Look around at other Linden homes that are well decorated....Preferably not while there is someone at home lol...Then check the owners Profile. I have seen some that are extremely well done and their owners have messages on their profiles saying that they are available as interior designers for other homes
  25. It just means the objects won`t get returned when the sale goes through. They will still be on the land, but they won`t be owned by the new owner and they will probably end up returning them manuallly to you. Its so that you can sell with a house for the new owner to use, but not actually own.
