To be safe I would definately advise doing it, though I have known people forget and not get charged, so I assume their is a way that the system knows. Having said that I have also known people be charged twice for the same land in the same month (though it was refunded) when they sold their own group land back to their avatar. Sadly no, the inworld profiles are no longer available on the latest viewers. As you say they are still on some of the 3rd party viewers, though they aren`t sure they will be able to keep them indefinately either, so it looks like we will all have to put up with the web-based profiles eventually. :smileysad:

If you click on your Avatar here on the page it takes you to you profile and your uploaded images are there on the right. There is a link at the bottom of them that takes you to where you can add more or delete them etc.

You have payment info on file so your account is "Account Verified" this would explain why your maturity rating is Adult and why you can get into most places. Are you sure that Age Verification worked? Does it say on your account on the website that you are verified? If not, try doing the age verification process again, unless you only did it withing the last 3 days, in which case it may be that its just not activated yet.

Don`t despair, now that you can actually login there are a few things you can tweak to see if we can get you to stay connected. First check that your firewall isn`t blocking outbound TCP port 12043 & also try turning down your bandwidth in Me > Preferences. What Graphics card do you have?

Rent yourself a stream from one of many places such as Neostreams and then put the URL for your stream into the Audio tab on the land you are streaming to. Assuming you already have the relevant software such as a SAM or Winamp etc on your computer. If you are performing at a club they often have a house stream you can use, but most DJs or Artists like to get their own stream.

You can find places to teleport to in your Landmarks folder, using the Map, using the search, using the destination guide on the website or even looking at "picks" on other people`s profiles.

Go to the Library section of your Inventory and in the Clothes folder you will find all the Default avatars that you saw on login in the subfolder called "Initial Outfits" as well as others that you haven`t seen before outside of that folder.

The cause is usually that one of the compulsory avatar parts (hairbase/shape/skin/eyes) hasn`t loaded properly Method 1 Create a folder, name it something easy to find so you can always keep it in your inventory for future use, like Normal Me or whatever. Put a copy of your usual basic components in there...Skin, shape, eyes, hair (including bald base) and a basic shirt and pair of pants. Right click on the folder and select REPLACE Method 2 Reset your avvie to default Advanced Menu >>Character>>Character Tests >> Test Male (or Female) or Developers Menu (ctrl alt Q)>>Avatar>>Character Tests>>Test Male (or Female) Depending which viewer you are on.

I wasn`t aware that tickets were closed too, mine seem to be working. Though I don`t know if its different for different membership types, mine is Consierge. Are you premium? You could try asking LiveChat.

Great news!! There are some different Viewer 2 versions available and also some of the 3rd Party viewers already have V2 features, so play around with a few to see what suits you best, you could also try the development viewer I think its 2.7 now & see if that one works for you so you will know in advance if you`ll be ok for the next update release. there are some older v2 versions available on: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Supported_Viewers

There are so many hair creators that are great, using search inworld and on the Marketplace will find you loads of them. Its really a matter of personal taste what you regard as better or worse. One thing I would look out for is scripts, try to avoid hair that has resize scripts in every prim, they are unnecessary and overly laggy. Lots of creators now use just 1 or 2 resize scripts instead.

Several Mac users have reported the same problem with certain viewer versions, as a test go to http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Alternate_Viewers & download viewer 1.23, see if you can get that to work without problems, so that we know if its the viewer version or your computer that is the issue.

I agree it is that simple on some versions of PS, unfortunately its not true for all of them. Some you have to load an alpha selection and create a new channel for it before you save or you end up with white transparency. Its not massively complicated but if someone does have a PS version like that it is far easier to just "save as" png.

I appreciate that you say you don`t think it is viewer related, but if it works for you on your browser then it would seem that it is an SL issue more than a computer one, even if it isn`t specific to one viewer. The SLPlugin have been causing several issues recently, various fixes work for different people and for others nothing seems to work. One that does work for some people is: Find the slplugin in the SL Viewer folder, on mine it is in: (C:) - Program Files (x86) - Phoenix Viewer - SLPlugin.exe Right click the plugin & go to Properties "Compatibilty" Tab & change the compatability mode to Windows 95
