You've been given some good advise, the phrase "a fool and his money are soon parted" immediately sprang to mind. The only thing i'd add which i think is a good rule for paying something like a rent box or person you don't know well in SL is never pay more than you are willing to lose if things go wrong or the person welshes on the agreement and never pays you back. if you're not prepared to never see that $40-50 again don't pay them.

They might be coming from an "invisible" object you can check that using Highlight Transparent ctrl + alt +t

A much as i love the long dark nights of winter, I'd probably have to say Spring and the first day of the year it's warm enough to go out with out a coat

I think one memory that sticks out was from 2008-2009 when i used to hang out a lot in Trilegy "Free Land" one of my friends decided between one of the fortnightly cleans to have a little contest to win a a 5 figure sum of L$ by hiding an object in one of the two sims this friend had a build rezzed between the two "Free Land" sims where they'd sell their artworks and what not when we were online together we'd spend a lot of time round this build otherwise like every other "Free Land" user i'd comb the sims for the object. It ended up that this hidden object was found by someone and i was kicking myself when i discovered it had been hidden in plain sight right where we'd hang out in one of the artworks was disappointed not to win the L$ but i did get given an artwork that i was said to be the inspiration for and to this day i have it rezzed in my home as i do like it a lot

The note card said the HUD Skins were Glam Affair was very pleased with how well the second palest tone matched my similar feet and skin that's so ancient there's no appliers

There is a section on the marketplace for Gachas otherwise known as "Used Items" unfortunately too many gacha products aren't listed in it and you have to preclude them from category browsing and search by typing NOT gacha in the search box

Spent a lot of today looking like this and no you're not seeing things that is a mesh body i've been demoing and the best out of the box i've tried i could actually get an almost perfect skin match from the HUD will save me from having to go skin shopping

Can't believe how expensive the cheapest is per week that's almost as much as three weeks on my land. though furnishing with the 25LI is very doable with a heavy reliance of stuff from a certain purveyor of all things 1 prim or other stores selling 1 prim/Li stuff. Totting up the Li for everything i've put in my home takes me to about 20LI not including the three prims that need to be kept by for the shells some of the furniture needs to rezz when it's being used

The size of the pic used for my cover photo is 1208 x 689 basically just a full size snapshot saved to computer though to get it within the 0.98mb max size i saved a copy as .GIF file

It would be category dependant of course but recently i've been browsing the "buildings and other structures" section for a potential new home, in that section when buying a building you need to know if it's going to fit your land in my case a 1024sqm plot having browsed a lot of builds i've liked the look of there are many creators that will include prims/Li but they wont include footprint size or they won't make any mention of prims/size

@ChinRey The land did get cleared out and abandoned today given how long some of the abandoned plots in the sim have been abandoned for i don't see this one being anything other than abandoned either

A few things: The demise of "Free Land" when the owner vanished from SL and all three and a half mainland sims got reclaimed Getting Portal Park/Realm banned Mesh clothes finding too many really nice things that don't fit in any size. i must have a weird body Usernames, you no longer get to see new really creative first and last name parings Marketplace shopping when the seller doesn't include the crucial information you need

Whilst copy is desirable you probably aren't going to rezz multiple copies of the bed suite, lounge suite, bathroom, kitchen or other stuff from that store. in which no copy would do. unless your heart is set on the L$8k bed there is a sculpted bed at a more reasonable L$950.

I would say if there's a choice between copy/no copy and you can afford copy do it the SL servers can have a hic-up and you end up loosing anything rezzed that's no copy LL do advise during maintenance and and grid problems not to rezz no copy stuff, or you may want to edit an item, if you make a complete hash of it you can always rezz another. I don't generally like no copy due to the risk of the item vanishing but i do buy the no copy versions of things if it's the only way i can afford them

My inworld home is virtually a shrine to that store with my rented land needing to be dual use i don't have a lot of available prims to spare so anything 1 prim has been really helpful for me all the items have two price points depending on whether it's copy or no copy

I keep all the sizes. I don't use a mesh body yet only got round to demoing a couple of bodies so far, as a classic user i find (with alpha) a mesh body size can fit better than a classic size if i am layering a long length mesh top with a mesh bottom i will invariably need to wear a smaller size mesh than i'd normally wear on my bottom half to avoid clipping and clashing

If you own the land outright through LL you have full control of access if like me you rent mainland from another person you may not have any 'about land' ability to control access, the parcel i rent is group owned and i've only been given the access ability ban people

A lot of this - hiding high up in a sandbox going through all the buildings i own hoping to find a residential build i probably haven't used since 2010 - 2011. No luck so far

Thanks for the replies will wait and see if it does get reclaimed for auction, land had been owned since 2006 never saw the owner around or any sort of development in my time would not be completely surprised if they 'vanished' from SL. i've known people do that before and had up to 3 and a half mainland sims of what was "free land" eventually be reclaimed and cleared as i wasn't accessing the sims everyday i wouldn't have noticed the Linden takeover until anything i may have had rezzed got returned

Since 2009 i've been renting mainland in Jieut and for most of that time there's just been me and an animation store in the sim. Time zones excepted i've never seen the animation store owner around. whilst i'm used to land being bought, sold & abandoned to Governor Linden ownership in the sim i noticed something i've not come across before. As the near by animation store allowed rezzing (short auto return) i'd use it to unpack things more prims than i have available. A few days ago went over and saw there are ban lines quick about land investigation showed not banned, not on access list, no public access no parcel ID, land not cleared and now in Linden ownership (not Governor Linden) The strange thing is the person/group that owns/owned the animation store and land also owns a separate piece of land in the sim which has not gone to Linden ownership. So with the land not explicitly abandoned and assuming tier's being kept up, it has me wondering why something like this might happen? neither knowledge base, wiki or forum search yielded any insight
