  1. Honestly there's nothing third-party rigged for any of the dollCoco bodies, and since they don't have alphas you're going to struggle to get anything to fit; to the best of my memory, the upper back sticks out of every mesh blouse I've ever tried. There's the occasional sundress that looks ok from the front: For a few hundred lindens you can upgrade to their fitted mesh body, which has a little more clothing available and comes in a few more segments, a bit like having supermassive alpha cuts (here it is in a freebie dress from hitogata): You might be able to make your own alphas if you get the mod version? though it's not BOM, and I doubt it's SLUV, so probably more trouble than it's worth unless you enjoy modding for its own sake. So yeah. My BJD av gets by with tattooed joints on a standard mesh body, because she likes clothes.
  2. In that case, I have my doubts about 'very soon'; though they could always go ahead without the open floors, wait for everyone to forget about them and then surprise us with an upgrade.
  3. If 'very soon' was the 23rd, then taking holidays into account I would be looking at the end of January, if not before.
  4. It didn't rez for me at first either: it's on the gift card wall. The VIP credit is next to it.
  5. I feel like maybe people with a spare 4096 of tier floating around would rather have 100% control over their land and/or aren't interested with collaborating with people they don't know? The G rating is probably a factor too, if recent conversations on the Linden Home subforums are anything to go by.
  6. They needed another 512 option to coax people out of their Meadowbrooks; not everyone wants or is able to use up the whole of their free tier on a Linden home. I mean, this whole theme is purely to lure the last few hangers-on out of their Meadowbrooks, right? It doesn't sound like anyone's signing up for extra premiums to play GoH with these, and that's fine. This one is for the casual users. The last of the Meadowbrookers, by and large, aren't interested in kitchen placement; they just want a nice big space for a sex bed, a couch and a bunch of rugs. That is what they're being given. So yeah, I'll grab one for the content pack, take on the challenge of furnishing it (maybe industrial, maybe the 70s vibe I had going last time I was in a Meadowbrook), snap a few photos and chuck it back. Would be cool if they got some Asian designers on board for the Shareta Osumai replacements...
  7. People do have cafes and art galleries in their Linden Homes, you know. They just have to forego the tip jars. And Mainland is full of galleries and little cafe/bar type places with empty tip jars, so it's not like they're losing out on a fortune here. True, hosting an event in a Linden Home is not a great idea because your neighbours may wish to hang out in their living room without getting lagged to death, which is why we have community spaces; but much the same applies to a hypothetical Linden shop. Even if it does let you put out a tip jar, your neighbours will be actual shops who would ideally like their customers to be able to get into the region and buy things from them. So now we're needing commercial community spaces so all the DJ's can put out their tip jars; and I have to question why we need that when Mainland exists, and Estate land exists. I get that teleporting breaks your immersion, but you can actually sail or fly to Mainland nowadays, and finding an empty mall or cafe once you get there is probably going to be quicker than driving to a venue IRL. (I would also be very surprised if said hypothetical Linden shops weren't an exclusive part of the equally hypothetical premium-plus package, but, whatever, when they need the extra revenue we'll find out.)
  8. If LL can class something as a dispute between residents they will class it as a dispute between residents, and noisy neighbours are easy to fit into that category. If they are ruining your dream parcel you can always block them and derender all their objects. (I do appreciate the OP's acceptance of the fact that she ought not to be doing this stuff on her lawn in a Moderate region, and would suggest looking for a rental community of like-minded exhibitionists.)
  9. I know approximately one person RL who would be capable of getting past the initial learning curve, and she's more interested in WoW anyway. The rest of my family struggles with email (regardless of age) so nope.
  10. The 'forced migration' stuff, as I read it, is really more about rabid fanboy/girls lashing out at any criticism of LL (and/or the Moles and/or the various Bellisserian cliques) with 'if you have a problem with it, get out, nobody wants you here.' Nobody is forcing anyone to abandon Mainland apart from, you know, other Mainlanders and their horrific social and building skills. If some random Bellisserian group wants to roleplay at being a tourist board, fine, cool, whatever. I would be extremely surprised if it led to a massive uptick in premium membership, or indeed to anything other than friction within the group, since that's how roleplay scenarios generally end up.
  11. I'd settle for fairy lights in the mailbox...
  12. This is a lovely idea, but the only way I can see it working is on an established roleplay sim where everyone trusts each other to not go rezzing ancient freebies for sale in the shop, or chucking up a skybox on the roof. (Which is really just another way of saying I can't see this working.)
  13. Does the official viewer STILL not allow people to blacklist specific objects, by the way? Because yes, that would be a problem for people who were for whatever reason stuck using it.
  14. So... the OP was wandering around Belli, heard a ghost go 'whooo', and was sufficiently triggered they felt compelled to warn everyone in advance that if they felt like doing anything similar for Christmas they... shouldn't, not because annoying noises are annoying but because OP is not a Christian and something something Papa Smurf. This is how people end up getting called 'Karens'.
  15. You know that not everyone celebrates Halloween, right? Including many Christians who find the celebration of stuff they consider Satanic to be deeply offensive? I'm not a Christian either, and I'm also not interested in seeing ghosts and pumpkins all over the place, so... I didn't bother looking at them and concentrated on making a nice autumnal garden for myself. I do like 'trees with bulbs' (I didn't know only Christians were allowed to like fairy lights; oh well, too late now) so those are going up regardless of whether you're interested in seeing them or not. (I find that the newer Chalet areas are pretty light on seasonal decor, by the way, so if your religious beliefs compel you to live in a neighbourhood without holidays there are always options.)
  16. Seconding that there is very little point in purchasing a Kupra if all you're going to do is alpha everything out in a futile attempt to get non-Kupra clothes to fit. It's kind of at odds with the whole Kupra aesthetic of stuff which showcases the body rather than hiding it. There's a reasonable quantity of free and cheap clothing around if cost is an issue, but if you're attached to your existing clothing you're going to have to wear it with another body.
  17. My doll av used to wear Amy before switching to LAQ Ivy, and Korina definitely looks more like her than any of the other Lelutka or Akeruka heads I've seen.
  18. The weekly payout pads are also failing; it said it had paid me, didn't, then reset my HUD so I couldn't try again. I filed an AR for fraud because none of the support ticket categories are remotely appropriate. One weird thing I noticed is that the payout pads are now deeded to the LDPW group rather than owned by LR Linden. Is it even possible to make payments from group-owned objects, seeing as how groups cannot hold funds?
  19. Architect have everything in store for 50L right now. (Which is bad news when your home decor alt doubles as your flapper alt and is COMPELLED to buy anything vaguely period-appropriate. As if the last days of gacha hadn't hurt my bank balance enough.)
  20. I really don't care about anyone's motives for dev kit collecting, but I do believe creators have the right to refuse randoms if they don't think it will benefit their brand. It's their business and they get to decide how to run it. (Though at this point their best bet is probably just to give away as many bodies in raffles as they can and proactively send dev kits to all the major designers they can think of...)
  21. Perhaps because I live in a country with lots of 19th century homes, I think Victorians work fine decorated in a contemporary style and it would be very boring if everyone just went chintz with them. And plastic neon yellow pool people are unlikely to stick around in the fantasy regions; they're just there because it's the new shiny and as soon as the next theme comes out they'll move on.
  22. In addition to those mentioned above, Lisp are good for this. I end up putting their Jacob desk in nearly every house I furnish.
  23. This is how I am handling garden furniture: Also, I did say I was going full fairy light and I have, indeed, gone full fairy light: (The fullbright Van Gogh is from 2008, it is no mod, and this is the only context in which I would ever display it. Once you park a unicorn on your front lawn, all bets are off.)
  24. Yeah, if you mainly make custom clothing and have very little for sale then it's quite hard to see how her giving you the dev kit is going to help her body get more popular? You come across as someone whose expertise is in skins rather than clothing, who wants to collect as many mesh body dev kits as possible, and is kind of whiny and entitled when refused. Most clothing creators would simply get on with rigging for the bodies they did have kits for, and reapply once they'd built up a portfolio to prove they were legit clothing creators rather than, say, random skin makers planning to make a mesh body of their own. (Not of course that I think for a moment that's your intention in collecting all the dev kits, I'm just saying how it might look.)
