  1. Of course you don't, they're an extremely obvious empty-profiled alt who showed up purely to defend the copiers on this thread. Which is a shame, because the people being copied explicitly wished to avoid that kind of drama. So, I'm going to withdraw my question, since it's unlikely to be answered honestly and would only cause further drama if it was.
  2. made the mistake of engaging with the sockpuppet. won't happen again.
  3. This seems unlikely as a) not that many people read the forums and b) there's so much inspo here that, if they were aware of it, copying their neighbor would be deliberately weird and creepy. I'd prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt.
  4. OK, that's extremely weird and creepy. I would be so tempted to make my place as ugly as possible -- clashing neon walls, ancient sexbeds with poseballs, fullbright 'art' all over the place -- just to see whether they'd copy that too...
  5. The Blueberry sim was really overloaded and I'm not surprised your body started glitching. Next time try leaving the mesh at home and just wearing a full-body alpha; it's easier on you, easier on the sim, and easier on other shoppers.
  6. ...which are also not picking up any meaningful support in terms of clothing, so unlikely to be an option for the OP.
  7. I appear to have gone slightly bonkers in this week's sales. Highlights not already posted: L$50 at Violetility, 3li, perfect for stilts The bed is primmy at 21li, but I figure I would be using this in a 512-on-1024 Newbrooke or Sakura without too much else in the way of clutter? Atelier Burgundy have more bargain stuff for bebes! These are L$75 a pop, along with decor toys for Happy Weekend and a couple of other L$75 nursery decor bits about. I'm pleasantly surprised Zooby are letting them do this. Velvet Whip for 35L Sunday. Not animated, but if you picked up the cream version in previous sales you can transfer the anims over from that. I just set this up this in my art deco skybox, but it could also be handy for campers.
  8. OK, so no particular ethnicity or tone, no particular mesh head or body you're wanting it to fit, you just want to know what 'everyone else' is wearing, right? Well, WOW and 7DS are still catering for the freebie crowd so probably them. 'Best', 'popular' and 'detailed but not too detailed' (?) aren't necessarily overlapping categories. I see a lot of faces being made for Velour body skins so I guess that's what the fashionistas are wearing, but yeah, apart from that no idea.
  9. I like Petit Mort for this sort of thing, and Monomania is good for full-on hippy vibes. You can also pick up bits in Sn@tch if you don't mind BOM and/or old-school standard sizing. But yeah, most stores will carry a long skirt and peasant blouse or two if you poke around a bit.
  10. They're almost certainly operating at a loss. For every successful SL business, there are dozens of hobbyists who will never break even.
  11. My block list has doubled in size thanks to that thread,; but I can still see what they've said when people quote them in replies, I can still see which inane smiley they've clicked on and I can still see when they've posted. So, satisfying as it is to slap them on the list, it's not hugely useful.
  12. Oh, these are lovely. I would still like to have seen seasonal changes, but I get that the script load was probably prohibitive and the Australians might have been unhappy. Most of my Japanese decor is old and primmy so I imagine I'll be looking at a 512 on a 1024 lot when the time comes. Or, you know, I'll raid MP for gacha stuff. That works too.
  13. There's no point. She's going to keep trying till the thread's locked.
  14. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you just don't know how poorly that came across in English.
  15. Sadly I think I am going to have to go back to my Lucybody, or maybe spring for a Freya. I like the body itself better than either of those, but I also like to wear clothes befitting a suburban mom of two, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of crossover between that market and Erika's.
  16. The one talking about straight pride seemed a bit disturbed to me, as did the one who tried to get the thread shut down by starting a politics derail.
  17. The fact that people seem so disturbed by the prospect of an LGBTQ+ space is, for me as for several others, further proof that it's needed. If they don't want it, why can't they just ignore it, like they keep telling everyone else just to ignore the bullying and bigotry they get subjected to? Are they afraid they won't be able to refrain from trolling it, and a few more people will see them for what they are? I mean, this thread has already put a couple of extra people on my ignore list, because either I was in blissful ignorance of their existence or hadn't fully understood how appalling they were.
  18. There are also shape deformers on marketplace which should help flatten out the butt on the Maitreya. My non-binary alt wears Kalhene Analexa, which fits most Maitreya clothing and comes with a flat chest and boy bits out of the box; but yeah, if you already have Maitreya it's probably going to work out better just to get the add-ons. I think some of the Lelutkas were expressly designed to be more androgynous, as was the Freya head; I'm not sure whether Queen was but my alt rocks her anyway.
  19. I don't think they have the time or the inclination. I've seen floating sky furniture in Bellisseria.
  20. But why is this stuff worth preserving and regions like Coniston aren't?
  21. Yes, those are banlines; yes, the bottom left corner is a Linden road; yes, the rock is a sculpty encroaching on Linden land; yes, the beauteous palm screen nowhere near the beach dates from 2006. And even with the walls and the trees and the fence and the banlines I can still cam behind to appreciate their magical midair 11 prim goldfish. Much vintage. So history.
  22. I can see that it's a bit nuanced for someone who isn't a native speaker, though; they evidently think it means the same as 'criminal'.
  23. I realise finding new region names must be a struggle at this point, but if you can't put an apostophe in there to make this clearer it would still probably be easier to change the name than have to explain it individually to every British person who was around in the 80's.
  24. The likelihood of being hit by banlines does seem inversely proportionate to the attractiveness of the parcel, it's true. I wonder how many of the offenders are still active, and how many logged off years ago, never to return? Which is another reason why we'll never see covenant changes to mainland: so much unofficially abandoned land full of prim litter which the Lindens would then have to decide how to deal with.
