  1. True. They were inquiring about the "Parade of Homes" though, which was created by the other group.
  2. If you didn't purchase L$ as part of the marketplace checkout process, then I would probably try purchasing some L$ to see if that takes care of meeting the requirement of "using your payment method for a transaction"
  3. If you PayPal account is verified, and you have successfully used it as a payment method for making a purchase on the Lindex, then it sounds like you will need to check with LL Support and/or PayPal Support.
  4. I saw him make that comment last evening in the Bellisseria Citizens group chat. It's really nice having Lindens and moles pop into posts here in the Forums from time to time, it's even nicer to see them popping into group chat
  5. It was open to all initially when it first was created. They were having some drama in the group last evening it seemed like, so maybe they changed that temporarily. You can try sending an IM to the group owner?
  6. The Parade of Homes was organized by someone in the Bellisseria Community group. People who want to participate contact someone in the group (I don't remember who) to have your home included in a HUD that lets people travel from one participating home to the next. The HUD and the yard sign were sent out to group members via notices in that group.
  7. Unless you are extremely fortunate for either "Traditional" or "Houseboat" to show up in the home selection box, don't get one of the older homes if what you want is the new ones - you can only have one Linden home, so you would need to abandon the old one before being able to get a new one when the next release becomes available. I have a feeling that the next batch will go fast also, as there is so much more attention being paid to them now. You can follow Patch's thread to get notified when he adds another post to it.
  8. When you say "it gives me nothing", are you saying that when you click the "Get Your Home Now" button on the main page, the browser does not display the "Customize Your Home" page (which lets you select a home theme)? It's a multi-step process, which prior to the last step where it returns your new home information, you should be able to use the back arrow in the browser to return to the previous step of the choosing a home process, or just exit out and then come back in an start the process again. If you're on the Confirmation Page, there is also a "change" link by the house information, which you can use to go back to the previous screen to select a different house theme. The terms and conditions for the Linden home are on the second step into the process, and as far as I've experienced, you can't move past that screen until you have checked the box to accept them. Is that the terms and conditions you said you didn't select? or are you referring to the main terms and conditions for your second life account?
  9. It seems to me that it is better to have alts be premium, rather than just basic accounts. With them being premium, they are helping support LL just like the main account. Whether it makes sense to pay the premium fee for more than 1 account is up to each person. For some it may be worth it (with the land allowance and weekly stipend), for others it may not make sense at all. But to say that people should be limited to one premium alt sounds kind of absurd, in my opinion.
  10. Is your PayPal verified? (This is something you do from within PayPal).
  11. They didn't break it down further because, unlike the old Linden Homes where you had to pick the style within the theme and had to move to a different parcel to choose a different style, with the new homes you have a choice of which style you want to rez. The mailbox in front of the traditional homes lets you choose between Winchester, Alderley, Continental or Adams. Likewise, the life preserver for the houseboats lets you choose one of the houseboat styles. This allows one to try each style out before deciding which one they want to stay with, and it also allows one to easily change to a different style later on.
  12. Additionally, for those who use the LL viewer, the Blog Feed appears on the viewer splash screen as well.
  13. When that does happen, I think I'll stay away from the forums for a couple weeks, while everyone settles down.
  14. Yes! (I'd almost forgotten we were waiting for ponies.)
  15. My.secondlife.com and web profiles inworld were broken for 3 days. Was nearly the end of the world apparently for some.
  16. I really like that they are not doing a cookie-cutter approach of simply putting down the same several cloned region layouts over and over. I like the individuality of the regions and the public spaces / parcel separators. I was really surprised at how much landscaping/public space decor was present on the regions considering that they are 1024 parcels (with twice the LI per parcel than with 512 parcels), and that the LI for the homes is not taken out of the individual parcel LI allotments, but out of the public land allotment.
  17. I was feeling like that yesterday. I lost track of how many responses I wrote and then deleted right before posting.
  18. My alts use the same verified payment info as me, and I haven't ran into any issues with them being set up that way.
  19. I have several tank-top type Omega appliers that I use when I need a little something more under a shirt or dress. The ones that I use most often are: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Ducknipple-Basic-Tanktop-Fresh-OMEGA/10541719 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Ducknipple-Basic-Tanktop-Warm-OMEGA/10541718 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Nerdosaurus-Tank-Top-Omega-Appliers/1524857 These use Omega, so if you haven't picked up the Omega relay HUD for Maitreya, you'll need to do that (and unlike some of the bodies, the Omega relay HUD has to be worn each time you want to apply an Omega applier on the Maitreya body). ETA: I don't wear tattoos, so I usually wear these on the tattoo layer, to minimize issues with poke throughs.
  20. If you want to make sure you won't use it during the time it is pending cancellation, you can change your password to some random bunch of letters (not looked at or written down), so that you will not be able to log in.
  21. Regarding the LL Blogs, there is a blog feed on the account dashboard page once you've signed in, as well as on the start-up screen for the LL viewer, plus the option to "follow" the "Featured News" blog, so they are accessible several different ways.
  22. To edit the eyebrow shaper, when you're wearing it, right click on it in inventory, and then select "edit" - that opens an appearance editing window with several sets of sliders for the eyebrow shaper item. Also, The Girl Next Door is very old. In the Library -> Clothing -> Initial Outfits folder there are folders for other starter avatars, each which will have an eyebrow shaper item though it may be called "<avatar name> - Brows" or "Blank Hair", but you should be able to identify it by it's icon. You should be able to try wearing the eyebrow shaper from one of the other female shapes in the library and see if it works better for you.
  23. I'm not familiar with the Teegle horse avatars, but it there an alpha layer in the Teegle horse avatar folder that you need to wear to hide your human body? Next I would check if there is an AO that came with the Teegle horse avatar, and make sure to wear that. (I have a friend who sometimes wears a wolf avatar, and it seems like I remember her wolf legs being oddly bent until she put on the AO that came with the wolf body). It helps, in a situation like this, to show the "worn" tab on the inventory window with the folders open, so we can see what is or is not being worn. If you are wearing the alpha and the AO that came with the horse avatar body, and are still having issues, I would suggest looking to see if there is an in-world group, where there will be more people experienced with the in-and-outs of the particular avatar body you're using. Sometimes it's not obvious from the contents of the folder or enclosed NC's which parts are optional and which parts are mandatory to be worn in order for the end result to look correct.
