  1. Lara body and Catwa head is a very popular combination. What a lot of people do is: 1) wearing your shape you normally wear with Lara, edit the shape and write down the slider values for the body, torso and legs sections. 2) put on the shape that came with the mesh head (Catwa in your case) 3) edit that shape, putting in the numbers for the body, torso and leg sections that you wrote down from your original shape 4) make any adjustments you feel necessary to any of the head related sliders to fine tune the look of the head itself.
  2. I think this goal has been successful so far in areas I've seen, and nicely done. I was marveling last night while in my backyard about how spacious the parcel felt, even though it is only a 1024 with neighbors on both sides. I think the hedges, fences and trees, along with the little open areas in-between house parcels really helps with that feeling of spaciousness and privacy. The neighboring house aren't right in your face. It is a huge improvement, actually, over some mainland or estate parcels, where the parcel lines are right up against each other.
  3. @Ursula08 If you open the map in your viewer, there should be a box to put a region name in to find. If you enter SSP in that box and press the "Find" button, the map should reposition so that it is showing the SSP1 region. Once you have that in view, you can move the map around to view more of the SSP regions. Here is what it looks like in the map in Firestorm viewer:
  4. I don't know if this was the case with the one you abandoned or not, but there may still be a few lots where the house had disappeared and were then abandoned. If you get one of those, keep it! The issue of the house disappearing is an issue that can be fixed through entering a support ticket and someone will come out and fix the mailbox so that it works properly.
  5. One of the common situations is that the paypal account is not verified - which is done in PayPal. From the Paypal help: You can verify your account by either adding and confirming a bank account or applying for and being approved for a PayPal Credit product.
  6. I suggest removing your email from your post. This area of the forum is a user-to-user help area, and any suggestions people have will be posted here, so your email is not necessary to be posted here.
  7. I really like the location and parcel I have right now, so I don't plan on changing it if all that comes out next is more houseboats and traditional houses. Later on though when different types of themed houses come out, it's possible that I might want to change at that point.
  8. I almost missed out too. I generally check the forums and/or have logged into my dashboard (which shows the Linden blog feed) at least once every day. The one day I didn't is the day they released the homes. It was the next afternoon before I realized they were available. The houseboats were all gone by then (which was OK because I wasn't interested in a houseboat) but there were still a few traditional houses left that 2nd afternoon.
  9. Most products do not rely on some type of outside service or other situation where they can disable or take back a product that someone has purchased. For those that do, there is always the risk that something may happen which would make that product become unusable - whether it's revocation of a license as you mentioned, or the outside service being shut down because the merchant decides to go out of business, etc. When you think about the volume of transactions that take place between merchants and customers in SL, I don't think it would be possible for LL to monitor all of it and to settle consumer disputes, especially when there are two sides to any dispute and both side are always certain that they are in the right and that their actions were justified.
  10. When the prim limit was raised from 117 prims per 512 sqm to 175 prims per 512 sqm some time ago (several years ago?) the LI for the original Linden homes also increased from 117 to 175. Perhaps it wasn't updated on all places it was noted online, but the change occurred as part of the increase of prim limits per sqm on mainland. From what I've heard, LL is planning on phasing out the old Linden home regions over time as more new Linden home regions are created and homeowners on the old regions have had an opportunity to move to the new regions or to move to other locations (mainland or estate parcels).
  11. I wasn't aware that this was an across the board standard for Gachas. I do know that some events have rules regarding gacha items, and I also know that there was a lengthy discussion here in the forums some time ago as to what was actually meant by an item being "exclusive" at an event. I think it's up to the creator as to how long they want to keep gacha machines for a particular collection out in their stores. The reseller market and whether it is over-saturated or not, is not the creators' fault or responsibility, so I don't think there should be changes at the creator level to try and control or limit the resell market. I'm confused by a lot of what you were suggesting, and it almost sounds like you want to create the same type of "rarity" that exists in the real world, for gacha items in SL. I don't think that will be possible.
  12. There were a lot of us who have been watching and waiting since last August when the "SSP" regions were first found on the map. Just imagine how much longer we'd need to wait for enough regions to be developed for there to be a home for every premium member before anyone was allowed to move in. There also seems to be a lot more individualized layout planning going into the new regions than in other LL regions built in the past, so it's not a "cookie-cutter" layout, but the more individualized region layouts do take more time in planning and building out new regions. I always thought of the premium perk as being 1024 sqm free tier for a house - whether that was a Linden home or 1024 free tier for or towards a purchased mainland parcel. Different people may prefer to use that perk in different ways - not all premium members will want a Linden home, for example, or they may want a Linden home to basically use as an unfurnished dressing room (which also is drawing some complaints in the new community). I know premium members who have not been at all interested in moving into the new Linden homes, and I also know of 2 members that abandoned new Linden homes yesterday. Work is in progress on another phase to be rolled out, so be patient and follow the LL blogs and Patch's "The New Linden Homes Update" thread. (By the way, the "crappy old-style homes" have had 175 prims for quite awhile now.)
  13. I don't have any issue with the way the new rez areas look here. Considering that we didn't have any when the continent first opened, and that as far as I could tell, there were not any at all on the original Linden Home continents, I was both very surprised and pleased that the moles responded so quickly to residents' requests for land and water rez areas and for an air strip. Unless one sails all the time in the Blake area, or reads a lot of SL wiki documentation, the fact that there are unmarked rez zones in a corner of a water sim is probably not general knowledge (and would certainly not be general knowledge to new players - who eventually will be able to get one of the new Linden Homes when they join and become premium). The obvious rez zones may encourage people to try out the different modes of transportation.
  14. Ah.... I hadn't thought about it from that aspect. I can see why you were thinking as you were then.
  15. I see the Linden Homes Photo thread as the thread for us to show off what we've done with our Linden Homes (so basically a Linden home and garden thread similar to the Home and Garden thread we have in General Discussions for non-Linden homes). I like seeing what people are doing, and what they have built special for the homes, but I don't like the ones which seem more like an ad (pictures of the same item in all the different colors or patterns it comes in). If you built something, showing how you're using it yourself in your own home and mentioning (discretely) that it's also for sale in your MP is fine as long as it's not the main thrust of the post. I do like the separate threads for sight-seeing around the new continent. In regards to getting all the "I didn't get..." posts into one thread, part of the issue is that I think many people come into the forum and just start a new post instead of looking at ones that are already there to see if (a) the info they are looking for is already there, or (b) adding their post onto an existing thread on the same topic. On the other hand, the culture in this forum tends to frown on someone coming in and posting on a thread that has been dormant for months (or years), so like lots of things, it can be a fine line and requires some discernment.
  16. True, but if someone wanted to stay on top of the news when there was an announcement, I would certainly expect him to say something in that thread. In other posts he has said "in short order" and "more homes, specifically of the houseboat type (first) are coming very soon."
  17. When I'm wearing a bento AO, I turn off Maitreya's built in hand animations.
  18. I may be off base here, because I'm not a creator/scripter/animator, but I wonder if part of the confusion is terminology. Generally animations refer to making the avatar body (skeleton) do something, and unless you're creating an animesh object, I would think you would cause the propellers to move through some type of scripting rather than a .bvh file.
  19. You might need to be sure you're logged in to get the fuller set of issue type options.
