  1. It's on the land pricing page that was linked to in one of the responses above. It's the "Land Maintenance" for a private region cost. Land Maintenance is a monthly cost.
  2. That is a popular combination (Maitreya / Catwa). What you need to look for are skins which offer both a Maitreya applier and a Catwa applier for the skin tone that you are interested in. Maitreya is also Omega compatible, so if you have the Omega relay for Maitreya, you could also look at skins with an Omega body applier and a Catwa applier for the skin tone that you are interested in.
  3. Like you, I wasn't sure about the new area until I got a space out there. The sandbars are bigger than they look on the map, and have a lot of variation in terrain height and décor, and do a good job of making the area feel larger and less crowded.
  4. Perhaps they are using it and you're just not aware. They could be using it as an unpacking area and a dressing room with parcel privacy turned on, neither use requiring furnishings to be placed. That is one of the uses that people found for the old LH's, so it makes sense that some will continue to use the new LH's for that purpose, especially since LL has said that they will be phasing out and removing the old LH areas (requiring at some point, that people move out of them).
  5. I think that the first release of houses plus houseboats was at least (or close to) 2300 - maybe a bit higher, from what I recall Abnor saying in one of the other threads as a close number. So with the addition of 709 houseboats last week, that would put the combined total around 3000 or a little higher.
  6. If this is what you think of Bellisseria residential areas, then I don't think you have visited it. The streets are NOT perfectly straight, NOR identical, NOR built on a grid system. There are community areas, parks, swimming pools and so forth in various areas (and not in a copy/paste fashion AT ALL). A lot of creativity inspired by the houses and houseboats. Various add-ons (porches, car ports, extra living area, interior walls, swimming pools, pergolas, etc) have been created by multiple content creators and used by many - some with add-ons of their own, some creating their own unique add-ons, some modifying add-ons created by others. The other area of creativity that has been inspired has been with landscaping. The house all have ample room for each resident to create their own vision of outdoor space. Some residents have been inspired to use their residence or houseboat as a library, café, pub, community game center, post office, an Airbnb, parcel delivery service, etc... opened to the general public. Very creative, I thought. Some residents created a scheme and scripts allowing residents to create an 'address' for their home or houseboat and gave what they created out free to members of the two community groups (which are free for anyone to join). There are no sandboxes or shops, because it is a Linden Home area. Its placement between two continents with water regions connecting it to both continents was a step in the right direction for people involved with nautical or aviation activities (whether or not they have or plan to have a residence in Bellisseria). People have been petitioning LL to connect the continents, and some felt that this was a start in acknowledging that request. Unlike the other mainland continents, ban lines are not allowed, there is a minimum height for where skyboxes can be placed, and security orbs are required to leave a zone between 500 and 1600 meters for flying vehicles to pass over the parcel. So yes, it may not be for everyone.
  7. I just tested this. A non-premium member was able to visit Bellisseria, and was also able to rez a car at a public rez zone.
  8. When you try to rez it on the ground, toward the middle of the parcel, are you also standing there in the middle of the parcel? When I've had trouble rezzing something from time to time and have received that same error message, I've found that it helps if I'm rezzing it down right next to my feet. (And I also make sure I am standing on bare ground, or on a flattened prim, so I know that I'm not trying to rez it on mesh that can be problematic as a rezzing surface.)
  9. Turning my little mainland parcel into a little magical glen for my petite fairy account to live in. Plus a few big people sitting areas for anyone walking down the adjoining beach trail who happens to find their way into the glen and wants to sit and rest for a bit.
  10. It's good to set up a system and get a handle on it when your inventory is relatively small still. That also makes it easier to try different alternatives for how to sort and categorize your inventory until you find the way that works best for you. Then, if you do have 180,000 items some day, at least you'll have a better chance that they'll be somewhat organized and you're still able to find things.
  11. I can understand both sides of this debate, and I also think it's up to each individual as to how they want to set their own parcel settings. Personally, I rarely turn parcel privacy on. At my other parcels, which are either along a mainland road or in an estate that encourages community (and encourages having parcel privacy turned off but does allow skyboxes and security orbs for the skybox), I do not have it turned on either. The main reason I do not have it on is because I like to be able to see others walking or driving by in the public areas directly outside my parcel. I don't have a partner, nor do I participate in cuddling or any activities that should be "behind closed doors", so that aspect does not apply for me. If I'm going to be trying on a lot of clothes, demoing skins or mesh bodies, or working on my shape, I will go to a skybox I have above my mainland parcel, where I feel it is less likely for someone to cam into. I don't mind at all if all my neighbors have it turned on - that just means I won't see them unless they are in the public areas, and that is fine if that is what they want. It also means that they won't see me unless they are in the public areas, so that should work fine for those who don't want to see anyone else on another parcel. So, maybe that's a win-win
  12. Once you do get to your home, you will need to "Set home to here" to have that location saved as your current "Home" for future log ins.
  13. Glad you were able to get a houseboat this time around!
  14. I remember that also. Perhaps there was more available extra LI in the older home areas.
  15. My thoughts are that it is bound to lead to drama, especially when the relationship ends and one of the pair starts stalking the other, which is already a more-common-than-one would expect experience. Sure you could "set limits and stuff" but when people are in the midst of an emotional relationship they are not always clearly thinking about online safety. This may not apply to you or your partner, but if I was asked by a partner to allow this, it would set up red-flags for me about whether the person was one of those super-controlling types who wants to know everything that I am doing all the time, and not allow me privacy in my own SL. I highly doubt that this is something that LL would ever put into their viewer.
  16. The other concern is available land impact. There is not a lot of extra available on the regions, as the Moles explained when they were explaining why not every region could have a rez zone.
  17. I probably should have said "for my primary account". They are "all me", but as the typist I identify the most with Moira, and try to not have the other two be "just me" as well. One is generally an elf or fairy (and generally the irresponsible younger sister), and the other one is usually a Dinkie, so I tend to keep different stories in my mind for them.
  18. I used to keep all the other ones in an 'extra' folder, but now I just delete the versions for bodies that I do not own (and I've gone through and deleted the ones I had kept at the beginning). I do keep the original box, just in case.
  19. I am still keeping my 2048 mainland, though after upgrading both my alts to premium, I realized it would be better for them to donate their tier to that mainland parcel instead of getting Linden Homes. I am also still keeping my rental on an estate (which is my main home base). I've almost always had a Linden Home also, so it made sense to me to move over sooner rather than later (based on LL saying they eventually plan to close out the old linden home continents - besides, the excitement has been contagious). To me, each of these different types of land offer something different, and whenever I've tried to 'scale down' and eliminate one or more of them (rental, mainland, linden home), I end up adding it back after not too long. Perhaps I'm in the minority in this regard, but I do hope that in the end it does turn out to be beneficial for LL and for mainland and estate landlords.
  20. I'm not sure that "making enough for everyone" would have provided the correct amount of homes, either. What should the count have been based on? The number of occupied Linden Homes? The number of premium members at a particular point in time? I think both of those counts would have been too low, based on what I've been reading of people becoming premium or alts becoming premium in order to get new houses, or people getting new Linden Homes that had never had a Linden Home before, let alone had a Linden Home just prior to the new homes coming out. I think LL really lucked out with Bellisseria being something that has attracted so many people to premium accounts and in getting a home with a much more restrictive covenant than in most other places, when neither of those had been compelling before for so many. I also think that a lot of what makes the homes compelling, are also the things that make creating the housing areas more time consuming than just copying and pasting continents out in the middle of nowhere. I'd often heard of Linden Homes being thought of as 'starter homes', so it is kind of interesting to see so many old-timers flocking to them now.
