  1. I suppose the options include: - No Skins / Rigged clothing available at launch, no compatibility (except BOM). - Some "house-brand" of skins / rigged clothing available at launch - LL creations by some unknown entity - similar to how Starter Avatars have always worked. This may be the "most fair", but will probably start out with substantially lower quality - unless we get luckier than with the Starter avatars, and better creators are hired and given sufficient time.. - Some "general compatibility" with one or more "major" lines for skins / rigged clothing, so your stuff works straight away (if you are lucky and use the right stuff). This also would seem "pretty fair" if enough of the "major" lines were chosen, assuming the majority of users already have / use those "major" lines. - A few Skin / Clothing companies who are given Devkits early, make skins / rigged clothing available - hopefully at fair prices. This almost seems the "least fair" as it gives a substantial advantage to those creators selected early. However, it may result in some of the highest initial quality (existing popular products re-rigged for the new body, etc.). - "Specially Chosen" companies are given Devkits and can make skins / rigged clothing available at launch. This seems seems the "least fair" because those "specially chosen" companies are seen as being given substantial favoritism; it enhances their overall product line, the rich get richer, etc. - "Everyone" is given access to the Devkits prior to launch, and can make products available. This seems the "most fair" but, the quality result could be mixed, possibly leading to mixed initial reviews on the body, Did I miss anything?
  2. Since I've only used Catwa, I need to go the OTHER direction and try Lelutka.
  3. Cool! Someone could do the Rorschach character's mask from Watchmen!
  4. Question: Since you have tried this with a "brand new" (rebuilt from scratch) PC - with a completely fresh viewer install: Are you using the default viewer settings for graphics, etc.? Just making sure you are not turning something "on" or "off" in the viewer which could be causing your issue. Personally, I found it difficult to make sure in this thread (because it is a "question" and posts get moved around) that you changed the graphics card, etc. The advice given by others I was most curious about - even assuming you changed to a different brand graphics card, etc. - if if you had the proper OpenGL settings, drivers, etc. Someone recommended trying a specific Debug setting for OpenGL, and I did not notice if you had actually tried that.
  5. I agree with the general sentiment of @Ardy Lay in that, if you stop focusing on these particular objects, you may notice the issues less and less on other objects. I and perhaps others interpreted your original post to mean, that you see these issues all the time on objects all over Second Life.
  6. Careful, one of my only bans was for making a Catwa joke! Seriously, go figure!
  7. What if, paying USD$0.99 for the iOS mobile viewer in the Apple Store got you the mobile equivalent of Premium, including a L$ stipend and extra features not in the "free" version?
  8. Isn't the most likely answer, as stated by the OP, that everyone else is lying about not having these issues? Occam's razor.
  9. I saw something about changes to allow emojis in floating text. Perhaps we will one day be able to use emojis in names. There are a lot of benefits to using emojis. Kids these days mostly use emojis to communicate. Like pictographic languages, emojis also welcome multiple interpretations. For example: 🤡💩😹 could be "Happy Man - Chocolate Ice Cream - Laughing Cat", or "Scary Clown - Poop - Silly Kitty".
  10. Ah, I remember the moaning, groaning, and gnashing of teeth now over "ALM always being enabled". Lulz!
  11. Ugly prim babies, like all of them! ("Housewives of Bellisseria" X "Mainland Mutants")
  12. Similar to "prim shadows" when Shadows are enabled...?
  13. ..misinformation? On the Forums? /me asks in a sultry voice, "Is there a Mister Information?"
  14. I stopped reading here, hoping it finished, "..to find an SL husband"! I was sorely disappointed and sat back down.
  15. Is sarcasm? That looks fantastic, if it is "current" content!
  16. If I understand correctly, it will also give a slightly different / better "3-D" effect to textures than the current materials. I hope someone confirms or denies my statement - I only read 1/2 of all the posts on the Forum, and have low comprehension on 1/2 of those!
  17. Fun fact, there's a synthesizer called "Deckard's Dream". Quote, "the synth was named after a scene from one of the film’s alternate endings that features Vangelis’ iconic and spacey synth work in its full-blown grandeur."
  18. Choose one or more: a) Read. It. Again. b) You consistently misread what others wrote. c) This is not true, and it will never be true. d) Other
  19. I wasn't aware of the scripting user group, and I've been reading mostly the entire forum (except certain fashion and "adult" threads/topics) for a few years now!
  20. Similar to how my RL company went to user ID's with "T"+a string a digits instead of First Initial + Last Name combinations. OMG...THX1138!!
  21. "Including Android and iOS"..interesting. As if it would work on any old phone or tablet "browser" (if not "bound" to Android or iOS). But if that were true, "browser" etc., they'd mention it. So, I won't hold my breath that there's some "other" phone and tablet OS they are also targeting. Like "ChromeBooks".
