    Ultimately, because the LSD is "neutral" and can be used as shared storage for multiple scripts. One example: Instead of passing full JSON to one another, they can just pass the UUID of the data in LSD. Another example: multiple processes hosted by separate "host" scripts can share "child" / "helper" scripts and each process needs to pass unique UUID's (so only it's data is professed). The second example is more "real". The normal use-case is creating a "data instance", and having a process pick up the "wrong" data would be very bad (since it would also modify and dispose of the wrong data). UUID's work fine so far.

    TIL! I thought of moving the platform up/down but, depending on if the OP has items "on" it or not, that can be problematic. Guess I'd use one of my scene rezzers in the first place, then just change its height, and re-rez a camera setup onto it if needed. Changing the sun position is an interesting solution!

    It seems ironic, as showing a "preview" view is the same (kinda maybe sorta) as showing you wearing the thing in-world. One other virtual thingy (guess it was an App) I've seen with clothing / acootermint previews was Replika, where you could preview your AI wearing an item before you buy.

    Since most of my use-cases for Keys are "internal to my script process", obtained through llGenerateKey() - it would be great if there was a variant that returned "shorter keys"! Or, if we had a consensus for the "llGenerateKey()" use-case that for instance, just using the "first 4" + "last 4" was sufficient.

    I hope that LL provides us details on the mobile UI, so we can cheer them on in the continuing development effort. Maybe at least in another upcoming "video update". I have confidence that LL will make good decisions about the mobile UI, otherwise it would be "unusable"! The discussion is very interesting about how many "tens of thousands", "hundreds of thousands", etc. potential mobile users could be interested! If LL was a publicly traded, I'd be buying stock right now!

    Thanks! Anything is better than those awful "wearable-type" icons. After 16 years, I'm still not sure what they mean. (But I don't wear clothes often..) And the fact that you can only wear "one" of some Icon types..oh gee, that sure is intuitive! ("Which icons were they again!?")

    Hoping LL switches focus to more land "products" besides Bellisseria soon as a side-effect of all the changes. It's like if GE only sold washing machines, or McDonald's only sold one type of burger, or Barbie only came in "white with blonde hair".
