    I would love to make $17 USD/hr, before any fees and tax! What a terrible example - just gives the cheapskates more reason to never tip. Typical DJ in a typical club might get 20 real avatars (not bots) in the club during a set, and 1/2 of them tip 100 L, once, for a 2 hr set. That is 500L/hr, or about $1.80/hr after fees. It's one of the worst paying jobs in SL for the effort and skills of a good DJ.

    My Alt has been wearing a 2009 designed flexi hair since 2011. I don't see a problem standing in front of windows. It still looks natural to me, and moves when my body or head moves. It took about 300 strands to build this. I attached the Inspect Object window for it, showing only 1 page out of over 5 pages of strands. It adds about 30K in complexity, but no lag I can detect.

    Don't think I do anything different - but since I never use the Outfits window to dress, or read the effing instructions when I joined, I just use basic Copy and Paste As Link into my Outfits folder on FireStorm. So, I make a new outfits subfolder in the Outfits folder, and rename it so I know what it is. This new subfolder is empty. I add * at the beginning of the name to force it near the top so it's easy to find. SInce I already have subfolders for Costumes, Holidays etc, i might put it in that subfolder category as a new outfit, unless it is a normal outfit (eg human) Dress myself with the avatar and all attachments included, and go to Worn Items tab. Expand Worn Items so everything worn shows. Highlight everything with the mouse at once and Copy. Go to the newly named subfolder in Outfits, and Paste As Link. That is my new outfit. Just Replace Current Outfit to remove old outfit and wear the new one. Done. I'm sure there are easier ways, but when I started SL, I saw no reason to follow some other method. Direct copy and paste as link made sense. I have 5303 objects and 258 folders in Outfits. And 2901 objects in 138 folders for Holiday, Costumes and Animals. That adds up to 396 Outfits I can quick change into. And these are all Male outfits. I always had more than one outfit. Some of them go back 13 years though, for retro night.

    This is so easy. NSL - Naked SL Clothing Not Permitted, including Shoes! Hair allowed - 4 wigs/avatar w/ color HUDS. No limit for Avatar attachments

    Eliminate the color table. Only RGB allowed is 000 and 111. Positive side effects - solves the EEP problem with PBR, and no more overcharging for tinted dresses by greedy creators.

    There were no textures from this tree designer. I rez these trees about every 2 years, so no way am I going to rezz all 1000 of my trees to add a snapshot for the new preview option. I really dislike the preview option - all it does is delay the opening of my inventory window. If there is a texture in the folder, I can look at it with one click. Most of my landscape objects have no textures included. The preview would not help me find a designer personal code name either. Only one of the 3 trees I needed has Maple in the name. My answer was to use subfolders like I been doing since 1978. I find many items are mis-spelled by the designers too. Some because they are not English speaking creators, and use the spelling for Austria or whatever. And some just can't spell even if they speak English.

    What size is your inventory? FS can time out if it takes too long to load. But there is something in the network or servers that can increase loading times more than usual for large or flat inventories. I have an alt with a 240K inventory that needs serious unflattening. It took me 5 tries to log it in last night. It would get stuck about 1/2 way thru for 10 mins, until it timed out. Only cure was to keep trying until it decided to finish. Happens erratically, with this account. I am tempted to just delete about 200K of it, since I never use it anyway.

    I was replacing my winter trees with spring trees last night. The trees I was looking for were named: "MK-BT Bo Maple M1 v1-1a tf-3a derived 1 DBsp1" and "MK Ultimate Sc M7 v2-0 tf-4 DBsp1" So I must remember to search for DBsp1 when looking for these trees using search. As it is, the trees were in my Landscaping/Trees/Spring/designer name subfolder, although I still had to rezz several trees to find the right ones. Using SL search would be useless, with my 100K inventory of landscaping objects.

    If you set your hover height to -2.00, you hide under the floor/ground. This fools newbies usually - they think you are invisible.

    Could you start a new section in the forum for all these missing posts you clean up every day? Some of us have other jobs and need to take naps (cause we are old) and miss all the trash. It would be read-only of course. You could even black out the names.

    That is an incorrect analogy, showing you don't understand the background issue here at all. The OP felt slighted for having a project that competed somewhat with the BBB, and basically the BBB won. Nothing really to do with the 5 yr Belli celebration, but an opportunity to rant a bit for her. There are always winners and losers. Nothing to see here. Congratulations to the people who have worked since the very beginning to create social events for Belli residents (and anyone in SL since no membership cards needed to visit Belli events). A first day Bellisseria resident.

    I don't think we have a court system inside SL to sue Lindens. Not even an elected judge. That Brad Oberwager is also Oberwulf Linden is not a closely guarded secret. There must be more to this, sniff sniff...

    What's the per cent of SL accounts that do not have any PIOF? Most bots, many alts, and those that earn their way working in SL do not need PIOF. All you need are lindens, from other residents or games. I would guess 40% non PIOF accounts, No idea if that is close.

    Peeve - I fell asleep BTL. True story - I had been consuming all the trash on all those blogs and here, about the AP issue for 12 hrs. It was just before the cactus became the pointy subject, that I was thinking if I had any child avatars. Since shortness seemed to be part of the definition, I pulled out my eggplant avatar, and noted it would reach to 4.8 feet height, from feet to stem. I was going to post my picture. Had never thought the difference between a cactus and an eggplant would have been in the thread. But here's the question anyway. Is this a child or adult eggplant, and do I need to remove my Adult furniture when wearing it around the ranch?

    Thanks, I knew what AP was since in this thread everyone thinks SAP = AP. I found SAP in google to be Sexual Abuse Pastor, so blame the Google AI for not knowing.

    Not all of us are experts in sexual abuse terms. CSAM and SAP mean nothing to me. I found CSAM - the new term for child pornography - Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) But what is SAP. Sexual Abuse Pastor? Maybe SL should ban churches. Why does SL think private agep1ay among adults to be CSAM, if it is NOT being distributed as child porn, and in fact nobody sees it except the consenting adults in real-time? Just seems like the wrong term to me.

    Thank You , good Wiki link for RL AgeP1ay. SL's definition is entirely different for sexual AP among adults than in RL. From that WIKI, I guess this only proves that online game players are all perverts, based on their rules.

    Even if you can prove you are over 18, it still makes any AP illegal in SL. RL age has nothing to do with it, from my reading of the LL TOS on AP. There seems to some confusion, that if both are RL adults in SL and one or both is Role Playing with a child looking avatar, that this is allowed. It is allowed in RL in most US states, but it is illegal in SL to wear an under 18 looking avatar in SL and have sex. You can be 90 yrs old and your partner 96 yrs old in RL, and you are still in risk of losing your SL account. Strange how libido fades naturally with age, and possible neither of the 90 yr olds can get it up in their RL, especially if you live alone. Although I would think an avatar looking at least 21 might work.     No, not according to the document exceptions that was posted. Scroll back, I did not copy it in my post. Yes of course it is a crime, that is one of several things that makes it a crime. Only if she cannot prove she is at the age of consent. States where prostitution is legal require you prove your age with a state issued official birth certificate and photograph and drivers license. Age is not a matter of appearance in RL. There are many men (Johns) sitting in jail, or on sex offender lists for life, because they were lied to by a young woman who claimed she was over 18, and was only 16. So verify age, or don't fool around.

    So what I gather here is that a*eplay is NOT illegal in RL among adult humans, as long as it does not trigger one of the illegalities listed in that above definition. BUT THIS IS ILLEGAL in SL among avatars, unless your shape is acceptable, despite total privacy? In other words if two consenting ADULTS who are also married, decide to change to a child avatar, (tween or teen or Furry), in the privacy of their own SL bedroom to engage in adult sex, at 3950m high, with zero second security orbs, on a private Adult region , where no public access is allowed, this is still illegal and a perma ban offense according to the LL TOS? No personal privacy at all? LL Governance or LL VP's can watch everything you do in private, and read all your IM's and make videos if they would choose to. You are relying on the very large chance they are not targeting you, to escape detection here? This needs to be spelled out explicitly in the LL TOS. Most AP is among consenting adults and is in private. Adult, over 18 in RL being the key word here. Age verification should be mandatory for Adult status, as it once was.
