All right that is the first initial problem. It is a common problem among people today and a prime example of why progress has not been made over the generations. You did not bother to really read what I wrote or even attempt to gain any insight or understanding to the reasoning behind my point of view so with out that really and truly this discourse would probably go no where productive or positive. That's all well and good on paper, but when you actually do see what these organizations really and truly do on your own streets in your own neighborhood then you can come back to me and preach to me about how wonderful they are. I already gave one example of such actions which flies in the face of what this country stands for. I don't need to give another. As for the NAACP I am glad you know what their original founding goal was. That's great. That's perfect. Let me know when they come to your neighborhood with their hand out asking for money like they did mine so many years ago making false promises they never delivered on. When you have had that experience and you have personally dealt with them first hand then maybe you will have a better understanding then just the text book view on their organization. I've actually dealt with them first hand so your not going to school me on anything when it comes to them and I am not going to bother giving a class to someone who doesn't give me the respect of actually reading my words and trying to understand me any better then you have. Bottom line whether it was The Black Panther Party back in the day to the NAACP to Black Lives Matter today. There is always a group. There is always an agenda. There is always a reason they started. They are ALL always full of the same exact poo. That is just the reality of it. 😎 That is ignorance on your part to think it was only his murder that caught my attention. I can not indulge that. I am more of a man of action rather then words. So by all means please allow me to give you a bit of a background on me as well too. I'll give you the cliff notes version. At 18 I stood up to a gang in school who wanted to go race/gay bashing. Between 18 to 19 I saved another kid I knew from school from being gunned down to death in his own home. At 22 I saved a man from being stabbed to death in front of a grocery store. Later on I joined the Dept. Of Homeland Security when it first formed and at the rank of Lt. I lead a para-military unit, much like S.W.A.T. to give you a visual aid, in search and rescue missions on top of investigative work coordinating with various military and government agencies from the Secrete Service to the FBI on down to even the local authorities and even the Fire Dept.. I saved lives and I served my country. Enough of a resume for you? What have you done to fight injustice? I am going to respond to this first in two parts. The first part I want to address this is a prime example of not reading my post and understanding the context of it correctly. Had you done so then you would have known I was referring to and only to the fact people make stupid jokes especially when they are young and it really is not that serious nor should it ever be. People should especially not never ever loose their livelihood over it. Especially when it is 7 years down the road. BLM took it there and I can not respect any organization that is that ignorant. Bottom line. Plain and simple. Cliff notes version. Now for the second part. First I want to let you know I have no reason to block you and I would never laugh at something like that. To even think I would laugh at such an experience sends a message to me of what a low human being you must think of me. I don't think your a man hater and frankly after an experience like that I wouldn't really blame you if you were. And bleeding heart just never entered my mind. So no to all of the above. What I am is angry if anything on how your own father handled that entire situation. I don't want to be disrespectful, but to try and put this as politely as I can. As a Father myself, I really would like to knock your father on his behind. Call it a Dad to Dad moment if you will. Had he handled it better then perhaps it would not have impacted you in the way that it did or nearly as traumatically. I don't know. As Fathers it needs to be taken seriously when our daughters come to us with things of this nature and it is our job to ensure that it is taken seriously as well. Appalled I think would perhaps be the correct word when I think about this situation and what you experienced and I am so very and truly sorry that you had went threw that. One can only hope that the experience in court was enough of a scare for those young men that they never repeated such an experience ever again. Had you taken the time though and actually read my post and understood it in it's entirety as to what I was trying to say then I do not feel I come across as glib & nonchalant as you are seeming to make it out to be. I was about to ask what that was all about because my SL wife has been a premium member since well basically 2007 when she joined and even with her land for her store I am pretty sure she still only gets like 300 per week. I'd have to double check with her on it, but fairly sure she never seen an increase. lol Looks like she joined a year to late so that'd be why. lol As someone who wasn't impressed by what premium had to offer I would be more inclined to consider purchasing it if the stipend was a lot more then 300 a week. I don't really care though how they set that increase up by account age because realistically a very large amount of people who joined back then are no longer even around. So it really only benefits a few. If they are going to do it that way then I think anyone who's been around at least 5 years to a decade should start receiving something or even do small yearly increases. Make retaining the longevity of the membership even worth it. Ah well. Just my opinion though. At the end of the day it doesn't really bother me one way or the other. To answer the OP's question my answer is no I am not nor will I ever show support for Black Lives Matter or any other segregated based groups based on race, sexuality, or anything else for that matter. I believe in All Lives Matter and I don't believe in x,y, and z rights, I believe in HUMAN rights up to and including the rights of all living things which should be respected and honored as well too. I thought the NAACP was bad back in the day, but I am noticing a disturbing increase of witch hunts from people flying under the BLM flag such as for example the firing of Hartley Sawyer who plays The Elongated Man on the CW's show The Flash over 7 year old alleged racist tweets dug up from Skai Jackson a so called BLM activist and regardless of how successful is still an 18 year old child btw which makes the firing even more messed up that grown adults are taking drama rants from a kid this seriously. I read the tweets and the reality is the worse thing the man said was that he implied he may be a racist. His poor attempts at humor 7 years ago had been dug up for the sole purpose of targeting a successful white man with no other agenda other then to smear his name over some stupid comments. Which even if he was a racist realistically speaking right or wrong that is well with in his freedom and rights to be one if that is truly his choice. I honestly don't think he is, but still it's his choice as well as anyone's choice really. Take that away you dishonor the freedoms our American military vets fought, suffered, and died for. Everyone has a right to choose what they wish to believe in without fear of persuasion for it. The fact that he was persecuted basically is a slap if not a direct spit in the face to those very freedoms. That alone is reason enough not to support such an organization that endorses such destructive behavior to our country. As for his so called misogynistic tweets let's be real honest here. He didn't say anything no more or less stupider then any and every other young heterosexual man on the planet has said at least once in his life time when joking around. Show me a man who says he didn't and I'll show you a man who is both a liar and what we call a Yes Man. lol That's just the hard reality and truth of it. Men make jokes and women do to. Nothing wrong with it. Been that way since the dawn of time. It's not gonna change. They call it The Battle Of The Sexes for a reason folks. lol The real fun begins when you become a parent and catch your kids making jokes because now you have to correct them and get them right while keeping a straight face and trying not to laugh so they know your in fact serious about it. Then later you can laugh with your wife/husband about it and say your not gonna believe what bit of stupid just came out of their mouth today and what I had to deal with. lol Asked them where they learned it from and they said school. lol Tax dollars at work. lol 😎 Now what I find hypocritical about this unfortunate incident all jokes aside that irks me when it comes to the issue of equality is that a black man can stand up and talk about murdering white kids out right and no one bats an eye about it and some even laugh at their lame jokes told such as what Chris Rock exactly did on his horrid Netflix show that wasn't even remotely funny or entertaining. So in the interest of equality using their own logic and sticking with it by all rights Chris Rock should no longer have a job in Hollywood or Eddie Murphy for that matter. We should even ban Richard Pryor's content as well if we were to use that type of narrow minded logic. So when I see things like this it makes it hard for me, a person of ethnic heritage to take such an organization seriously because all I see is ignorance and I've already seen ignorance enough in one life time. So I think I will ignore the next generation of stupid until people learn to get it together. Because it just doesn't send a positive message of equality and equal rights and the value of life for all to me. Now I get lately a big part of it is that folks got all fired up with what happened to George Floyd. I admit even I did. What got me fire up though wasn't just what the cops did. It was the mass amount of people who stood by and did absolutely nothing to save this man. I am not even counting everyone in that either. I am counting the so called GROWN MEN out there who did nothing. The ones who talk the talk, but when the time came to WALK THE WALK they stood by like little *******. They did NOTHING and what? Now they want to cry about it? Get the **** out of here. To late now. Those who did nothing are just as guilty in my book as those who committed the crime. Maybe I am hard and harsh because of my beliefs and my generation or even the fact that I have had training, but I know with out a shadow of a doubt what I would have done because I can't in good conscious let someone murder someone in front of me like that. I don't care who they are. I sure would not want to on the day of my judgement go before God The Father and have to explain why I stood idly by like a coward and did absolutely nothing let alone stand there and video it? I saw the video. That man called for help and no one did nothing. So as far as I am concerned they don't have the right to say a freaking thing or speak on the man's behalf who they let die. I will never understand how anyone could have ever done that. Daryl Davis has the right idea. When people are talking they are not fighting and they sure as heck are not trying to kill each other. The only way to ever solve the problem is to understand the root of the problem and only then can you with real effort, patience, and understanding make real change. Now he got the leader of the KKK to quit and change his life. That's as good a starting point as any and one heck of a stepping stone if you ask me. Now just think what we all could accomplish if everyone did this. What a better world we could have if our actions actually once again spoke louder then our words vs everyone playing the hate filled drama crybaby blame game when their actions have been none. Alpha games on Steam work the same as with any software in Alpha stages. Means they are a very early version of a software product that may not contain all of the features that are contained in the final version. What you described as standard software license purchases sounds more like a version of the chash-grab subscription model you just said it was not. It certainly doesn't sound like any license to any software I have ever purchased. In the case of TMP as stated in their own description that I read when visiting their store the Legacy is an updated version of the original TMP mesh body. Upgrade pricing as you call it is a shady tactic to say the least used by companies with bad business practices. Which is probably why I personally never have had any software agreement even remotely close to what you just described because I tend to stay clear of those. You absolutely should get that upgrade for free because a purchase is made on the software and should not at all be limited to and restricted by version number. I have never not even once ever had to pay for an upgraded version of any software I have ever personally bought and paid for. I ain't about to ever start either. lol When it comes to products on SL that same rule applies from RL too. I certainly wouldn't repurchase a product I already paid for in order to receive an update. lol Just not ever gonna happen. lol You made a good point on all of the above. We certainly have had different opinions on which SL viewers work best for us so there is a lot to be said for personal preference. lol

So let me ask you this. Food for thought. Using that logic and sticking with it. By that logic if that were applied to an RL situation such as Alpha games on Steam which many have been retweaked and redone to become something entirely new they by rights should be allowed to charge their entire customer base again for the same game purchased? Because when you take that logic and apply it to SL and TMP in this case your basically saying the exact same thing. Is that your entire argument? Wait a minute slow down girlfriend. In fact let's come to a screeching halt. lol I am just saying and all I am saying is I absolutely would not class Maitreya as a low quality mesh body. I don't want you to feel like I am debating what your saying. I don't really have an issue with anything else you've said in that regards. I've just seen some really nicely done Maitreya bodies that I would consider to be high quality avatars. If it was low quality then it wouldn't be in the top five most used mesh bodies list for ladies to use. That's all I am really saying.

Not gonna lie I read that first question and asked myself did she seriously just ask me that? Really? lol Let me break it down to you like this. If I create a product and you paid me for it. If I update and make upgrades to that product that would be pretty messed up for me to expect you to pay me twice for it. I been noticing that end of life trend that's started on SL with content creators recently with their products. Free for vendors lifetime? Absolutely if your still operating a business and you push a product out and thousands of other people created mass loads of content circled around your product why would you not? It makes no type of sense not to. It's just not smart business at all not to. Maybe it makes sense to you, but to me I personally think it's stupid because vendors loose business more often then not for having that attitude. Speaking for me personally I have cut loose every single vendor including TMP that has either cut support or played that end of life card. I kick them to the curb. I find a candy store that offers better candy. So I don't loose any sleep myself over it. Most people I have personally talked to have pretty much the same attitude I do about it. Perfect example. I stopped going to Fallen Gods. The creator discontinued a skin because it was not up to his current level the rest of his products were on. It was a well sought after skin and people still asked for it. Made no sense to shelve it. Even refused offers made to purchase it even though it was not updated. To me I find if your that ***** and unwilling to exercise what we call guaranteeing customer satisfaction then I'll find someone who will. Point blank. End of story. It's nice. It's neat. Wrap it up in a little box. So for every content creator who does not stand by their product and/or expects you to pay for an upgrade to an already existing product you already paid them money for can NOT seriously think they will retain any of their original customer base. That is just shady business practices and I don't support that. Nobody with any type of intelligence or common sense would. Then again this is SL, so um, yaaaa. Nuff said. They don't have a new player or introductory section of the forums anymore mate. Think they did away with that years ago. It would actually help people new find their way to answers a lot easier if there was. A lot of people don't know what forum is the appropriate forum for some of the questions they wants to ask sometimes. My advice would be as far as basic general questions are concerned just post in the general section and go from there. I actually find it interesting and a complete joke they don't offer a free upgrade for the legacy body since it's suppose to be the upgraded version of the original. I have the original TMP mesh body myself and went to their store recently to grab some clothes and when I looked at the upgrade I noticed they wanted to charge for it. lol They pulled every item for the original body as there is no clothing store up anymore or wasn't at the time I went and want to charge for an update. I mean really? Seriously who does that and actually thinks they'll retain customers? Lmao!!!!

Only difference is I may have followed it up with a have a nice day or a you have fun with that comment and walked away. lol I can't speak for everyone else, but I don't say anything in one place that I wouldn't in another. If I say it on the forums then I'll say it in SL. If I say it to you on the internet then I'll say it directly to you in RL as well too. Well I went there in the middle of the day too just to see it for myself when I first heard about it. They had a crowd of about 16 people and the stream was more hip hop then anything else at the time. lol It definitely wasn't screaming Sinatra. lol Franks Elite had about 32 people and climbing as I tped in. So I doubt this new club is hurting their business any.😎

In my own personal opinion I find that the discussions in the forums while I have had some really decent ones do have a bit more of a better chance of becoming polluted with toxic and rude comments which is why I don't frequent them very often except in short bursts if at all. I mean you could say I like vanilla ice cream and five other die hard chocolate ice cream fans may have a go at you about it. lol I definitely have better intellectual conversations just simply meeting people in world in SL. So for me personally I would have to say in SL hands down is the better experience. I actually have a gesture we all used to use back from my boxing days after a match that says that. lol It does a bow too so your welcome to it if ya want it. I'll definitely have to go check them out then. I recognize two of those names I completely forgot about. Adam Edelstein I think had a few outfits on market I thought were really well done and L&B I completely forgot sold men's clothing wear. I always think of jewelry when that store pops in to my head. I just looked up Deadwool though and I owe one big time mate. They had a outfit very decently priced I might add called Hart vest - antracite and a few others in that line which almost mirrors a few system versions I have of that exact same outfit. Most really decent quality stuff on SL usually is expensive though mate. I didn't think it was 5 years since they last updated though. I didn't realize it had been that long. I think I bought my last suit there probably 2 or 3 years back at most my last visit there shopping. I've taken a few people there off and on since then and I've just not found any place that sells better quality suits mate. Where do you buy yours at if you don't mind me asking? What would you recommend? I am definitely open to suggestions brother. Thanks in advance.

They actually have a bit of everything mate. lol Granted they do still keep a lot of their old stuff out for people who prefer that which I think is a good thing actually. They have mesh items though. Have you seen them? I ask because I shop there for suits and things of that sort. I have at least two off that line that I can can personally think of off the top of my head that come with color change huds for each part of the suit I want to customize. Been a while since I been though, but I would have thought they'd have upgraded even beyond that by now. They have a bit of something for everybody.

If they had a free time limit in order to demo the viewer for like maybe a week with an option to purchase a full product key license on it so people could test it on a time trail in order to see if it works better then any of the free ones out there with all the same options and features such as Firestorm for example as well as all the viewer skins in order to tailor it to which ever viewer version you like to use then at best I may consider it. If it's a pay me lindens every month type of situation with crap all for options in order to use my viewer then no. Just no. lol 😎
