What video recording software do you prefer? I am curious. I use fraps myself, but was looking at maybe changing up if there are any programs out there that can record more and use way less disk space doing it without having to recode the entire video again. So what do you use for video recording software and why do you like it or what is it that you like about it? Thanks in advance.

I'll just respond on this one since this is the same issue I am looking in to. I am wondering if the issue is with Firestorm because my wife has the same mesh body and some of her tats vanish on her sometimes and she has to reset and I see them vanish on my end as well. If I am on Singularity though they never vanish on my end. So is it possible either there is an issue with the Firestorm viewer or a setting or something that can be done to solve that issue if your on that viewer?

I used to use Radegast myself, but because my inventory is so large it has issues loading with that viewer these days so more often then not I am using Metabolt which is no longer updated. I don't use them often, but when I do it's because I know I mainly just want to chat. I actually love text viewers because if your gaming in another mmo or even just a MP game you can still chat with friends and still deal with stuff as you need to while having fun.

I normally use Firestorm or Singularity now days since Ctrl Alt Studio is no longer being developed. I prefer the way Singularity renders the graphics in that viewer because I have found it just runs smoother and faster on any pc I have ever gamed on. I prefer Firestorms options though such as shows friends only, the appearance section that pulls up all the items in the My Outfits folder and using viewer AO instead of needing a hud and I generally use that viewer more, but it has always been an extreme resource hog. Ctrl Alt Studio was like my happy medium for me between the two viewers for me. Does anyone know of another viewer out there that has those features and the old school style interface as these viewers have by chance? Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to pull up all the notes you made on avatar profiles of people you met? I don't recall everyone I ever made a note for and was wondering if there was a easier way to pull a list of the ones I did make and read them from there. Thanks in advance.

I get what your saying and normally I'd be that way too, but when your doing the SL family thing on here and got kids on here I don't want to be ignoring them if I don't have to. I'd feel bad if I did mate. I don't know if that makes sense or not. lol Ok well maybe I misunderstood something then and if I did then I am sorry because when I did a search for inventory viewers only this program was at the top of the list along with 2 or 3 others that read inventory cache and let you just view inventory offline. This one seemed to do what I was looking for. I mean ya I know technically your logged in, but what I was referring to was being logged in to the inventory with out being logged in to the grid as showing online or connected to friends or any other communication aspects of SL which I know is absolutely possible. I say that because the viewer you mentioned Radegast I've done it with that viewer before. About a year back I was late paying my internet bill and you know how some providers will allow you only partial access to the internet before shutting it off? Well while I was waiting for the payment to process I was able to log in to the inventory part only and work on my inventory some. Problem is I don't know how to duplicate that effect. I wish I did because I thought it was neat. My wife said I never registered once the whole time as being logged in to the gird. I am actually surprised no one has made a program geared towards this to be honest. Anyway I am sorry if I misunderstood what this viewer was and what it did. I thought it was what it said it was on the page I originally pulled it up on under the specific search I ran it under and going by the name Simple Inventory Project Viewer well I thought it was exactly what it said it was that being a simple inventory viewer. lol My bad. lol

Ok I know this thread is old as dirt, but I am actually going to revive this thread vs making a new one because I am curious why this project was closed. I been looking for something like this for ages. Why was this discontinued? Also is there and old copy of this that can be downloaded and that is usable or are there any programs or viewers that will let you access inventory with out logging in to the grid? I am just asking because most days I can't log in and even finish loading before someone messages me and something like this would help me out like ALOT. Lmao!!!!

Well speaking of normal I've actually had a run in it seems with more people wanting to make their avatars short lately and then getting upset if they are told they need to make them abit taller when I am at my Star Trek rp sim. I mean kid av's are allowed under parent supervision, but not allowed to be on sim alone. They are allowed to visit their parents and like for example Mommy and/or Daddy/Daughter work day and Easter egg hunts. Kid friendly things like that. Not as part of the rp though. The argument is more common with women avatars then men avatars lately. Honestly I think they send me to deal with it because they probably find it funny to watch the Klingon deal with those type of headaches. lol I tell them straight and point blank though. I don't care how short, normal, or real your trying to be when you walk threw this door you need to look like your grown. Period end of story. Tweak what you need to tweak, but we don't play the guessing game around here. lol

If I had to guess your pulling that error because your not logged in to Facebook. I didn't know it did that. You should be able to pull it up when your logged in. Thanks for letting me know though. Appreciate it.

She did all that and still not finding it. Because I was thinking the same thing. Even had her wait a day or so because I had this bug only once myself and a day later I had my item back. She cleared cache twice already hoping it would load and her inventory is small compared to mine so she don't have alot of items in the first place.

Hey guys. My girl bought a bedroom set from GLD Furnatures & Homes ran by Ginger Lyne and there is a lyndsey Michigan listed as an officer so guessing she is a manager. Anyway she rezzed the bedroom set which is basically no copy and it vanished. We contacted both the owner and manager and come to find out neither has been online for months. Ginger for like 3 months and lyndsey for like 2. There is nothing indicating anyone that would need to be contacted for customer service or help of any kind. After having been to the place several times over and seeing no one and the sim is owned directly by Ginger it struck me as odd someone would pay for a sim and not even bother to maintain the buisness they have on it. The set itself cost $2895 lindens and trying to see if there is anyway possible to have the item resent or what. Not sure if we should contact LL or what to do at this point. I never really had an issue not being able to contact someone running a full on sim before. So any help would be greatly apriciated. Thanks in advance. :)

I've made alts for several reasons. My original av was designed for certain roleplay only. I rped Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer on the Sunnydale sim. I got famious in the part certain people would treat me as if I was actually James Marsters the actor himself. I had a chick literally get mad at me one time because I was at my home off the rp sim and she wanted to rp just alittle to personally for my tastes and I told her no out right and to piss off. This is my second and main av and I did famious in the boxing circle in SL, but it was a different kind of fame. More of a I was just well known by people that came to watch my fights. Had some issues, but nothing compared to Spikes. And I have one av that will remain nameless that is basically a blank slate and it is refered to as my watching tv av. lol I use him mainly to watch movies in my home and I don't want to be disdturbed period. Not even a single IM. That's just how I roll. That being said I had one friend who had exactly the same issue and only would talk to her if she was on a certain av only. Would ignore her IM's from any other alt. That dude was crazy. Nuff said. Another friend I call the Player she has probably 20 alts and married to 5 atleast different guys. I know guys who do the same stuff. That's where the issues with alts become a problem in relationships. Had a past relationship I later found out half the time we was partnered she was on an alt doing some other dude while running around with me. So my rule is this. If ya got alts and we are dating do me the curtasy of letting me know what they are if your going to be playing them. Because ya got one time for me to personally catch ya out hidden on an alt and I am done. So I do not blame the guy for being concerned especially if he has had a bad experiance, but if you were honest and you did say that you were then he should have just relaxed and chilled out about it. It's not having an alt that is the issue. It's what people do with them that becomes the problem. Hope this helps some.

I am using the ctrl button atm, but is there a way to keep it from making you stop walking when you hit it? Using Firestorm if that helps.

LL get's their money when you buy the lindens from them. Your giving them rl cash for their game cash. That's where they make their money. So I am not really understanding your logic behind that one. If I spend 150 bucks on L's for the month vs someone paying for a mothly premium account only LL still gets that money directly. That's how they get paid and keep the grid. How it transacts in world really doesn't matter. They get better support for their premium account with a small monthly fee compared to a freeium one that buys large amounts of cash. Regardless if you pay rent to a player with your lindens another player owns that land directly from LL anyway. So the ingame cash flow flows in a circle anyway. Lindens makes their main cash off the amount of money people buy on a day to day basis. Because the reality is everyone isn't going to or can aford to pay the crazy lands prices directly from LL. People that got that type of cash do it and set it up can generate money from people who don't, but still manage to spend a nice amount in the game. All the while everytime someone clicks purchase on those lindens then LL is raking in the cash. That's how I am seeing it. You see what I am saying?

What button would you all say is probably the best one to use for push to talk that doesn't conflict with anything or require rebinding of keys? Do not suggest middle mouse button. lol Looking for one on the keyboard itself. Thanks. :)

No just Firestorm mainly. I have used Singularity and Metabolt, but mostly Firestorm. I had this problm on my laptop and then I did a fresh install on my new pc and still having this issue. I've never logged in SL from my phone or an android before. I'll do what you suggested and see how it goes and let ya know. Thanks for the help.
