Online / offline picture change script
sandi Mexicola replied to Roma Violet's topic in LSL Scripting
Do you mean you have an online/offline detector that indicates online/offline status with floating text, and that works? And then furthermore, you don't want the floating text as the online/offline indicator, but rather an image that changes based on online/offline status, but are unsuccessful, so far, in making that jump? -
Thank u

As far as FS goes, I think we just need to wait until EEP is actually implemented in FS.- 12 replies

Second Life As an Artistic Masterpiece
sandi Mexicola replied to J4ckyJ7's topic in Art, Music and Photography
i think either "pictures" or "blogs" would be good starting points. Video a bit more complicated, at least to me. -
Large Images, Photos, Posters
sandi Mexicola replied to WhisperingPond's topic in Art, Music and Photography
One option is to upload your image in parts. For example, you could split your image into 4 equally sized parts, each 1024x1024 Then upload each separately, place each on a large prim, and arrange the prims so that you once again have what looks like a single image. -
This kind of change, without scripts being able to access what the new say distance is, would definitely break the HUD I scripted. My HUD lets me know if people are within chat range. I use it for hosting, and also I use it when I am out and about in SL to know if i am having a private conversation with someone. If chat ranges can be different for every sim, and cannot be checked with scripts, I will have to check manually every time I teleport somewhere and enter the new numbers into my HUD every time.

Inconsistent Avatar Complexity
sandi Mexicola replied to AsbjorgKjerstin's topic in General Second Life Tech Discussion
I had a similar problem a few years ago. The complexity of an RLV collar I was wearing jumped suddenly to a very high value. I never did figure out the reason, and eventually just replaced it. -
how many letters can a string contain?
sandi Mexicola replied to Xander Lopez's topic in LSL Scripting
Sleep always seemed to work for me. 2 or 3 seconds worth. -
Also, you can try downloading your transaction history... I think sometimes there is more information in the downloaded version.
