Why is this even a thing? it seems more and more prevalent in the last two yrs and quite frankly it is annoying AF. If you wear mesh clothing and shop frequently you know the deal you get loading clothing spamming you when you first log in or change to something. It's not HUDS but the damn clothing it's self.... Such and such designer boots loading: some numbers, colour pack 123 Too kool shirt loaded.....HUD23456 mem some random pants designer hud loading..... Some random pants designer hud ready memory 3.... hair designer loaded and ready... Your special necklace is ready...colour pack2480 sparkly earrings L.. bling off ready... sparkly earrings R.. bling off ready.. Lip piercing dble ring HUD ready loaded... I don't get why the clothing has to tell me anything, scripts don't need to spam the F* out of my local chat to tell me its loading, I don't care, not one bit. When I first log in I need local to tell me if my friends are logged in, if I have some designer sending me a update, I want my local chat to show me records of my visitor logs from my sims, just as I told it to send me off-lines, when I have to scroll and scroll and scroll up to skip all their talking clothing crap to get to stuff I actually care about I am thoroughly annoyed, Also if my RLV is working since I wear several RLV based items. The clothing spam granted is only during logging in but as content creator, I log in and out pretty much ALL DAY to test textures, load stuff, chat, so the constant spam from clothing is enough to make me take off the clothing and find some older stuff to wear while I make stuff. If I had known before hand......I would not of bought stuff, I am to the point of needing huge red warning labels put on advertisements so customers can make a choice It's not just in clothing, anything you attach, jewelry is the worst.. I don't know why designers have gone to this, and I know I am not the only consumer with this gripe, just please stop putting scripts into clothing that spams your customers local chat, scriptwriters please do not put this unnecessary code into your scripts to sell. I love my designers, I love spending my Lindens on your fabulous creations but this madness has to stop. This never was a thing, so people telling me oh that how it was made, I call BS because I have huds and colour changing huds from like three yrs ago that do not put anything in local so it is possible, I just don't know if the talking/spamming crap is done out of sheer designer convenience to buying pre-made talking scripts or the ones making the pre made scripts/huds. Quite honestly I don't care who's fault it is but please.. stop it. And people telling me " Then don't buy stuff" P* off, seriously? It's comes down to getting your voice heard, it comes down to letting designers know this is not acceptable and I refuse to be like some poor consumer who has to just bend over for the sake of someone else making money.

I am gonna have to agree on this. While I will buy Fat-packs to get more variety for the money, I can have the same outfit but make it look different, mix n match with other pieces, having too many colours is daunting and overwhelming in the first place. I have a limit of 2K for a FP if it looks awesome, well made and has lots of HUD choices. But over that I am gonna nope on that also, I would rather buy one or two of the same outfit, with different colours to mix n match. I am known to spend 12-15K at events and 10-11K in stores so I do know shopping and I do know my HUDS also since I make them too. There is a few designers I just love because they break up the FP in to like four or 5 similar colour FP and price them reasonably. What I totally hate are those huds with tiny buttons with butt loads of colour choices but the buttons are too small to actually see what tone the colour is, it is a dark blue or a navy, its it a dark green or black, is it white or cream..ETC.. I think paying over 2K for too many colours is not really cost effective for the consumer, I mean honestly just how many colours on that HUD do you actually use? Why pay for those 5 colours you hate or looks really bad with your avie skin/hair? I know from making HUD's myself, its a pain in the A** to make and put in the texture UUIDS, scripts, the photoshop work etc but charging a stupid amount is defeating the purpose of a FAT-PACK, the purpose of a FP is to bring all the colours you already offer individually already together to save your customer the money, maybe offer a bonus colour to sweeten the deal. I think the reason why designers make too many colours and put in too many colours is they are afraid of missing a possible sale, trying to please too many people at once but fail to see they miss more when people nope out of the said FP. Don't get me wrong I love me some FP, prefer buying them when I can but like the OP said, charging absorbent prices, regardless of" They are just Lindens" is pass for me too.

I have a friend showing on my in world list just fine, but when I check the friends like on my home page on my account, they are missing, as like not on the list, I have others showing, either online or offline but this person is just like gone off my home page list. is this a glitch or?

This is simple, not sure why people make it complicated. Log into MP, type in t shirts in the search set your ratings to GMA, hit search. Then just click the MP name up in the left upper corner. Maturity rating set, now you can see and buy adult things. Your viewer has nothing to do with MP maturity settings, you can set maturity ratings all you want in FS preferences. That has to do with sim ratings and in world content but wont change anything in FS even if you use in world browser plug in. It has nothing to do with Alt, payment info, you have to set the maturity ratings for MP the way I showed you each time you change it manually or clear cookies in your browser.

You need to make a base colour, then add in texturing lines with your Photoshop program or overlay texturing maps. the best way to learn that is is too look up texturing tutorials off Youtube. You can also find tutorials in the programs website directly from program customers.

Thing is people want RIGHT NOW, they could care less about the tech behind it, they go on thinking LL can snap fingers and make it so. I goes along the lines of photography. People see a pretty photo and right click it to rip it from the net thinking they are entitled to it because they see it on their computer. With people stuck at home, they want entertainment and they want it knocking on the door with little to no effort. I have seen this syndrome many, many times, reason why so many leave SL because they get bored rather than being creative enough to make their own entertainment. You give a man 5 dollars a hour to work and he will complain the wage is too low, you raise that wage to 25 dollars a hour, in a year he will complain the wage is too low, why is this because he has not learned anything about living within his means. Nothing has changed but his spending habits. The Lindens, even if they raised the Prim limit, people will still not be happy, you give them a homestead to play on they will want a full region. You give them anything they still wont be happy with what they have, they will always be unhappy for what they have not. Think about the improvements in just the last 5 yrs and people STILL complaining. it is nice to have nice stuff to play with we all could still be playing DOS games with monochrome screens and listening to modem dial-up tones. If you are that bored with SL you have to post a warning to "gimme" or else, then something is indeed wrong and it's not the program, granted SL does have issues but you take those issues with a grain of salt and fire up the imagination because that's what it is about, not getting a bigger better deal, if you don't feel you are getting your moneys worth, log off and invest that money to actually renting a region or buying a homestead down the line or.... so many choices.

It would be nice to have answers on what is going on with the group chats not working right, some comments from the Lindens would be nice on what is going on and how long we are going to have to deal with the chats being borked. I totally hate the idea of having to use Discord as a second chat platform for SL in general, so annoying. Feel free to post your rants about it here.. this is getting old and I would love some answers..

I have no intentions of changing my name but I was looking at the list just out of curiosity, my first though on the choices of names was" How very childish, immature, demeaning these names are" The reminded me of names you picked out for Spiro game or put on arcade games at the local 5&dime long time ago. They reminded me of names I would see walking down mainland and seen a furry club with toon/bot names. I had envisions of 12 yr olds running amuck in a classroom with free reign to the chalkboard. Must be the Lindens way of really discouraging name changes as they said but really, why not give people the choice of what names they want with out looking like a D*k tool when you log in. Why not just charge more to have that dignity, and yes people do laugh at you for having a Pancake Butt, Peppermint Apple Chest, Crispy Nova BBQ, Yeetly Slowly, Salty Crusty Pants name. If anything getting others to laugh at you might be worth the money.. Sad thing is people have no idea, they think they are funny, totally clueless, ignorance is bliss I guess.

I didn't mind the message, how ever I was not even on Bellisseria and got the message.. I almost blocked the sender then I seen who it was from..lol opps.. I get those messages in local from creators who for some reason think it is ok to do that when you only bought something once 2 yrs ago..

I role played intensively, a number of char, I took on the persona of each I played, my interpretation of who I wanted that char to be. From buying visual clothing, detailed odds n ends from the market to make my char more believable. I Googles some aspect of the personality or creature habits, studies real instants of my char, I learned how to develop who my avatar was playing, it was like a Hollywood actor but with out the huge paycheck n scripts, all my work was done on the fly with a basic understanding of the story. Sometimes it took on a whole different story, the ideas flowed and free form acting was exciting. you built the story based on what the other wrote. The story could take hours, days and even months if done right and slowly. Sometimes it took a lot out of me to play someone who I really was not, I had to step in a pretend imaginary mindset emotionally, I cried tears, my heart raced, I had to log out take a break sometimes to calm down. I have raced home from real life work just to open up my SL and get to my story, it was like turning off a good movie in the middle of the " GOOD part" But like all good things, you get older in SL and things just seem all the same, and you realize those around you just don't want to role-play like the old times, people looking for instant gratifications, integrating real self's in a fantasy world, making their avatar look like their real self's, forgetting this is a virtual world and treating SL like a FB posts. Forgetting what SL was about they come into the world expecting entertainment" Log in they will come" as some Steam Game, getting bored and logging back out, not even knowing the fun here is right in front of their eyes. I have been in SL TEN yrs, and always had stuff to do, from chatting in groups to building, exploring, riding horses, boats, motorcycles, dancing with a dragons, spoke to GOD and Satan, had deep meaningful conversations, sprayed unsuspecting people with silly string, danced dances that would get my tossed out in a RL club.. had several SLationships, got married, had babies, it's all in front of me for the taking...more than what I ever could do in RL.

5. Prepare to pay for your own place for a very long time with your RL money for months. 6. Pay for marketing out of your RL pocket, you will need to place ads at various other regions weekly, renting ad-boards is recommended, which means marketing posters someone creates for you, or you make. If someone makes one for you that is not something tossed in, you're going to pay for that too. 7.You will need to find and pay for a regular DJ, and not just anyone will do, people come to clubs to listen to top, good quality music, stay away from Karaoke. Most clubs like Rowan said usually ends up just as a family n friends hang out, even then they get bored and move on to something more exciting if you do not offer what every other listed club offers. decor, build, music is key. Plus do not think you can build and they will come, those days are pretty much gone out of SL because everyone wants a club and the world will flock it it . You MUST participate, entertain and play a hugely active role in it, promotions, events, dances. Any SL club that is successful and lots of people usually have been around for years and the owners have treated the club just as they would as if they opened up a real life business. If you just want something casual and want a fun lil place to hang out and invite those in your circle more power to you, if you want high power traffic and a money maker, be prepared to be in it for the long haul and put a lot of money in it.

Here is the thing, when a creator makes a product, any feature in that item usually is assumed by the consumer, that the feature will be used for news and updates re-guarding that said item. When the creator of a script uses that feature for their own propaganda it tends to annoy the recipients and in the end it is consumer duping basically. Yes you can turn off the feature, but it is not really about turning it off, never was. Clothing, Texturing HUDS,, shoes and other worn items do spam you with the starting up announcement to let the account holder know their worn item is talking to the viewer so it works properly.. annoying yes, I wish that never started personally, its irritating AF. But the diff between the said collar and those HUD messages is the collar is someones personal propaganda and it is shoved down peoples throats, yes, I have seen the group chats, cyber bullying at it's best and when one starts, the rest of the clique follows right behind them as if it some sort of self importance acceptance award "Here use my product and deal with MY personal agenda to save the world from my PC" THAT'S what customers get annoyed about. I have sat back and watched the whole mess with a thin lip and a deep thought. I feel real bad for the direction the whole mess has become, it's a shame humans have to resort to such tactics. We all read the news, we all go out and live out in the world, we all know the situations but when we sit down at our PC and log into SL it is our way of de-stressing, some play vid games, some play with out children, some write music, play music, some sleep, some drink, but in every thing over all we do we do not want something shoved in our faces that we just need a break from. If you don't like something, don't use it, don't support it, don't let someone decide what your SL is. I make peanut collars, I spent my RL money on the dev kit, mesh collars, uploaded hundreds of textures at 10L a pop, custom made collars for PR work, I have spend hours at my PC, just like the script maker to bring a wonderful product to my MP customers, who loved what I had created. How ever given the fact of the collars spam my customers with unwelcomed, unwanted personal propaganda of someone they don't even know, even if they can turn it it off, I have pulled all of my collars off my MP store, I have decided the loss of revenue is worth the preservation of my reputation. I have a responsibility to those who pay me money to receive a item, I can not longer show my support for a product that fails my customers and I refuse to be associated with the drama so I am socially distancing from a toxic situation. I listen to my customers and their input, suggestions, ideas, improvements and COMPLAINTS do not go unheeded.

In real life, people have to duck and adjust their life to being tall, they duck through doors, live in higher ceiling homes, have to get their cars drivers seats custom adjusted. They live with this because they HAVE to, they was born that way. How ever in SL, you get to pick your avatars looks, persona, you are what you make yourself. In all my years in SL, I have no idea why people think it is ok to be odd shaped avatars and expect Second Life world to cater just to them for what they COULD change to life a normal Second life or at least close enough to avoid issues with doors, animations, furniture. Its like a Nun walking into a porn store and being offended, like duuuuh. Oh I get the" I can be whom I want, it's MY Second life" quote, it's beaten into anyone who opposes out of norm avatars, trust me, I have heard it sooooo many times in my 10 yrs here, not only directly at me but in clubs, private regions,. So my advice," Be whom you want in Second Life, have fun, explore, do things, how ever if you are in a odd shaped avatar, don't expect the Lindens to give you special treatments or anyone else because in SL you are the way you are because you CHOSE to be, nobody else is, you live with your choices not only in SL but it works that way in the real world too."

Seems I might need to put together a lil tutorials on sounds and other fun things, like finding blocked/muted sounds, how to clean out the derender list...ETC, working on trying to work this OBS screen recording program, might look into making a few vids too. I know couple of the Lindens made some long ago but it looks like they are a bit outdated for the viewers we have now. Due to time constraints I will have to limit the viewer hints n helps to what viewer I have which is FS.. I am sure things can't be much different though. Hi, here is something I put together with photos I edited,... ok ok me and my Alt did it, shes giving me this look so I had to include her..:p( Spoiled Princess) I have everything on a neat lil notecard too so just holler at me to get it Gem Strait(gem oxygen in-world. I am Gem Oxygen, me and my alt have put together a little something to help you learn how to set your parcel to prevent griefers and maximize your enjoyment of your home. I have included photos for visuals. If you still don't get it please join the Bellisseria Citizens group and lots of helpful residents will help you. So you got a Linden lab home and have no idea how to set permissions let's start with getting to the parcel detail window: Click the land and you will get a pie menu popping up , click the ABOUT LAND button and a window will pop up, this is your parcel details. This whole window will give you magic ability's. Please use the photos, it will help you a lot. Parcel Details button: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So lets run down each tab in the window: 1. General tab-- Highlighted in GREEN A.This tab you are going to name your parcel and put in a description. This is highlighted in GREEN. B. You will need to have a home group a group just for you, visitors, friends and family can join to be able to build, use furniture, run scripts and set their Home landing point, this is how you set restriction for the parcel which I will show you in a bit. If you do not have a group you will need to make one, this is very important because Linden Labs does not allow you to restrict the land to the public which causes ban lines and those are a no no in Bellisseria residential homes. Click the SET button( Highlighted in RED) and a pop up window to the side will appear, find your HOME group, select it and hit the OK button. You will see the parcel now set to your group. WARNING********* You do not need to deed your parcel to a group. 2. Parcel Covenant tab--Highlighted in GREEN A. The next tab has the Linden labs rules and guidelines for the parcel. It is very important you read these. Oh I know everyone hates reading the fine print and TOS blah blah but these rules and guidelines not only will prevent you from getting that dreaded Linden Lab email or a IM from a Linden Mole but it will also make you a better neighbor and make the whole community happier 3. Object Information tab--Highlighted in GREEN A. This tab shows information about what you and others have rezzed on your parcel. It also hows how many prims allotted to that parcel, how many you have used and how many prims left for you to use. B.If you allow group Rezzing or public use that is ok, however to prevent someone from abusing the Rezzing ability on your parcel, you can set a timer to allow someone to temp rezz something such as a horse or a bicycle. Most people as a standard set the timer for 10 mins, which is plenty of time to rezz out a vehicle. 4. Parcel options tab-Highlight in RED A. ok this is where the settings here are very important, this tab gives or takes away non parcel owners ability's to rezz, use scripts. To make it very easy for you with out all the details which can be confusing I have highlighted everything you need to have checked in GREEN, the check boxes need to have that little cool check mark in it. Everything that needs to be unchecked is highlighted in RED. No happy little check marks in these boxes please. Now you say the RUN SCRIPTS check boxes has both the everyone and the group ability, yes let me explain a bit. If you have only group members running scripts: Visitors won't be able to use their AO's or any worn huds unless they are in your home group and things they rezz needing script to run won't work, like horses, vehicles anything needing a script to run won't respond. Those who fly vehicles through the lands won't be able to use their flight huds through your parcel so they can accelerate faster to get out quicker. Allowing everyone to run scripts is advisable just make sure you have the Rezzing ability timer set to a time. so even if a griefer or someone who is doing malicious stuff won't be able to keep objects on the parcel. Yes there is griefers who don't need all that to cause harm but those are past the ability we have as residents. 5. Parcel Restrictions- Highlighted in GREEN A. This tab is where you set sound restrictions. It is pretty self explanatory so to simplify the instructions, all the GREEN dotted sections need to have those happy check-marks in all the boxes. 6. Access Tab-Highlighted in GREEN A. Have issue with someone causing you grief? Don't want a ex coming back like a bad penny? Just hate everyone (They have pills for that) Then you will need to learn the Ban hammer tab..... Oh and a lil hint if you have neighbors who love to cam in and touch stuff, like opening and closing doors, turn on on and off lights, you know those ones. Once you add them to the ban list, they can't touch anything in your parcel anymore. It's hard to prove but there is a TOUCH DETECTOR script available on the SL marketplace that will tell on anyone touching anything that has that script in it. B. Click the add button( Highlighted in GREEN) and a pop up to the side will come up. You will get a option to search for a name or if they are nearby you can click the nearby button and a name list will come up. just put in name or click the name and it will be added to the list below the search bar. Once you click a name another lil pop to the side of that will show, this is the ban timer, you can set it for how ever many days or always which will be forever. Once you follow these steps you are all set to start enjoying your parcel. If you still have issues please go to Linden Labs support on your account page, often Live support can help verses filing a report. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sl is about fun and unfortunately a few make it UN-fun. I Rarely have run into those I inform about the rules and guidelines put forth by LL come back with a nasty " Tude" most usually don't know, some never even knew the Parcel window existing. One thing about letting people know is not to make them feel stupid or ignorant, it's about the way you approach people, it's down to you and how you are perceived by your peers. If you are not good at talking to people or think someone will take your information wrong, them please ask someone to help you that generally have good people skills.Nothing wrong with getting a lil help to make SL more enjoyable for all. We have so many people moving to the new Linden lands from the old Linden homes and from the Mainlands, which sadly had little to no community. My how things have changed..... Reach out and go to that neighbor, head over an don't feel intimidated with a little conversation, even if you have no common interests in general.. you have one at least, Bellisseria. You can also have your off-lines sent to your outside email, it will send you IMs of those who IM you, so you will have the name and the message at least and you can get back to them in-world. it wont show you note-cards. If you prefer NOT to give your active email, the one for rl important stuff to Second life, just make one up using Gmail or any other mail carrier of your choice for your SL avatar use.

I have noticed in the last few months that losing the body during crossings has become the normal as the answer is always " Refresh attachments" Losing parts has always been a part of region crossings for a lot longer than I have been a member but it seems in the more we have moved to Mesh items, body, clothing the crossings have become like 2010 and below all over just not lots hair and unmentionables left at region borders. "Being intermittent, it's very hard to make a coherent error report."---- This has been my issue too, it happens so randomly I have no idea where to start for a error report. I just wish I could drive to the local police dept in rl and say" Helloo it's me again but I lost my body again, can I get a curvy, voluptuous number this time oh about ten yrs younger, mmkay, thanks"

What I do is take up all my no copy items first.. then I go to each room, rezz out a prim, name it whatever room I am in" Gems bedroom" click a item to get in edit mode, push shift, then go around clicking everything to SOFT LINK them up, do not actually link in the edit window!, click the save name prim last, then while still in edit mode and everything is in soft link click you mouse click on something anything to get the pie menu ,more then take a copy. everything you click and is soft linked will be in your objects folder ( that way you can just delete and discard your lost n found stuff after you abandon). Rinse, repeat for each of your rooms, this way you will only have each room to re-rezz out with out risking rezzing stuff outside you parcel. It's a bit of work but trust me if you dislike sorting back through inventory and digging through folders for something for each room, this will save you time.
