  1. I don't understand why you would say Maitreya is outdated, it is well supported by the creator with updates including addons and it doesn't lack for any features that I am aware of. And it has a number of advantages over Legacy besides the price, like lower complexity, lower lag and no need to rely on media in order to use the HUD. I bought Legacy when it was half price and I love how it looks, but I don't see any advantage other than aesthetics. When I wear my Legacy body, my avatar complexity is so high I have to be really careful what else I wear with it or I will end up a jelly doll to everyone around me, and that just isn't acceptable.
  2. I bought the Kalhene body on an alt because it is Maitreya compatible, and it's great. I haven't come across any Maitreya clothing that doesn't work with it. I don't use the head so can't comment on that. But if you want to be able to buy new clothes at events and popular stores, Kalhene would be your best choice of those 3.
  3. That's why I really don't mind if merchants charge 1L for a demo, I've used this before to send demos to alts when I can't be bothered switching accounts on the marketplace. I also prefer useful freebies on the marketplace to be giftable by costing 1L, then I can send them to all my alts at once rather than log in and out to buy a copy for everyone. I get that some people have very few or even no lindens though.
  4. I know you spoke about the amount of work involved in supporting all the bodies (and I know it can be because I do this on an alt), but I think you could be shooting yourself in the foot there by not supporting all the available bodies up front, if you have the templates available to do so. One of the advantages template designers have over most original mesh creators lies in being able to corner the market for those less supported mesh bodies. People who own bodies like Tonic and ebody largely rely on template designers for new clothing and you'd be missing out on those customers, and I would definitely not rely on them contacting you to ask for you to make clothes for their bodies, they will just go elsewhere.
  5. I'm glad I live by myself and don't have nosy visitors. I'd be mortified if my family saw what I sell, let alone anything else available on the marketplace.
  6. This one with braids is new from RAMA
  7. LAQ also has a nice mature skin, I think it comes in BOM now too.
  8. In the UK there is now a move away from unisex bathrooms and the new legislation being drafted states that all new buildings must again provide single sex facilities. This is partly in response to the distress experienced by women and girls at the increasing number of facilities being made unisex and the belief that this restricts women's access to the community, with some women expressing that they would rather wet themselves than share a bathroom with men. In countries such as India, single sex facilities for women are absolutely essential to prevent sexual assault, and cannot be taken for granted. For women from certain cultures living in Western countries, they are also important as these women cannot share a bathroom with men. It is interesting that for many years, women did not have access to private spaces at all. Women's toilets were not introduced until the well into Victorian era, and because of this women did not venture far from their homes (the so called "urinary leash").
  9. Not my photo, it was taken by Grazia Horwitz, Poema Sabrina skin on Lelutka Avalon head.
  10. I think this probably qualifies, new head released by AK. Hopefully they will do a female one next. Edit - they have done a female one too now, I got it for my alt.
  11. Similar issue to the OP, a neighbour has placed a large prim (encroaching) across a rez zone and part of the road and it looks terrible. Abuse reports ignored. I'm actually quite surprised because I've always found support to be good with this sort of thing.
  12. I'm your neighbour! I live in Iris too. At least one other forum member lives there as well.
  13. I left SL for a few years and came back to find some of my inventory lost. Fallingwater's flowers were among the irretrievable items. I am still disappointed about that.
  14. Yes, Tasmanian here. I used to have a lot of other Australian friends in SL but most have left now, I still come across a few. You'd probably have to be specific about your interests for anyone to help you with hangout spots. Personally, I hang out on my work platform so that isn't useful.
  15. Dakota Buck's Whippet and Buck (and Savvy before that). Gorgeous hand textured clothes. Some of it is still available on the marketplace but I want new things! Dakota was my platonic SL partner for over 12 years. She even stayed partnered to me when I left SL for several years. She hasn't logged into SL for ages. Saeya Nyanda's Kyoot, I miss her work, great creativity and skill. The last day I saw her online she was quite insistent that she will not return to SL to make more things.
  16. Slink male body is less toned than its competitors and may be worth demoing to see if you can get the look you want. It uses BOM. Legacy also uses BOM, Signature too, Jake via a relay you can pick up in the store.
  17. You can definitely get copiable dances from Bits and Bobs. And it is worth going there regularly because they sell a random dance of the day at half price and that is copiable, your dance ball will be overflowing in no time.
  18. You don't necessarily need mocap for furniture, you just need high quality. Try RNP http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Krystaland/189/232/25 as well.
  19. Henmations disappeared last year, no idea what happened, the sim is gone.
  20. Conviction makes good bloodshot eyes. They usually have Omega appliers. Just get the relay for your Lelutka head if you don't have it already, it comes in handy to be able to wear eyes from different stores.
  21. I own land there. It is near to impossible to buy anything because so much of the sim is public preserve, land rarely becomes available and I was very lucky to pick mine up at an affordable price at the time. Ravenglass has some rentals.
  22. Yes! They are Army of the Sith Republic Memorial Obelisks, very tall, and there are a few on 16m parcels around the place, including one right next to my house that never used to be there.
  23. Oh, there are also these, that go from thigh to feet, a bit pricey but there is a demo. You could definitely wear them with short skirts and shorts though. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/BentBox-Faun-Set/7843514
