  1. It takes time to create each listing, but you’d be surprised how quickly you can resell random commons on MP.
  2. I hosted 12 years ago at a pretty busy live music venue & I took it very seriously. Was overwhelming feeling that I had to watch local chat, keep an eye on radar to greet, remember to copy & paste into chat various things about tipping venue & artists, offering group invites etc. I then forayed into exotic cartoon stripping & I enjoyed it immensely when a patron would be interactive & weaved a short scene with me. But it was usually very tedious and eye rolling with “u make sex?” IMs & policing tripods who weren’t adhering to realism rules. I learned it’s easier when I had the opportunity to just buy my lindens & if I were broke, did without for a period.
  3. Rather than hoping for long term clients right at the start- maybe think more boutique experience with an “evening in another land” sort of thing. Have a space you can decorate in a traditional theme from that region, maybe provide virtual snacks- even provide the menu in advance for the adventurous- something simple someone might make at home in rl too? Kind of like the sip & sketch painting parties. Prepare some short intro or interesting points about the language & then spend 1/3 of the hour teaching a few phrases- presenting your teaching style? Maybe that could garner interest for return- enrolling students and I would think would be a fun night for attendees.
  4. Emma (2020). I do love a dashing Austen hero (tho I’m a Edward Rochester girl). This adaptation is beautiful & 100x better than the Paltrow version.
  5. Well with the humidity here, you can just sit idle & melt into a puddle! But I gotta be a sweet smelling one! 😂
  6. International Falls, Minnesota- to see the Northern Lights. Carmel-by-the-Sea -because it looks like a fairy tale & the Redwood Forest in California Central Park in Autumn, Rockefeller Plaza at Christmas in NYC The Pyramids at Cairo Anywhere with the little hotel huts over the pristine water along a sugar sand beach
  7. 11.5 The applicable law and venue is in San Francisco, California. You agree that this Agreement and the relationship between you and Linden Lab shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict of law principles or the United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods. Further, you and Linden Lab agree to submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in the City and County of San Francisco, California, except as provided in Section 10 regarding arbitration. - So I would err on the side of CYA & follow California 2 party consent.
  8. These folks have fun & know in advance the risk they take. They’re out doing that instead of other things. That’s exactly how I view any expenditure that doesn’t feed, cloth or shelter me. It’s enjoyment & entertainment- my bits of my life I traded at a job for $ & spend how I want. -& I have no issue with how others spend their own money, they’re responsible for their own actions. (Which has been discussed & debated on several now locked &/or deleted threads). I only meant to chime in that I’d been thinking that if a gacha machine deserves banning because it’s gambling, then by the same measure- so shouldn’t baseball cards? (I don’t).
  9. I don’t think that has to be an issue- one of the spots I’ve rented a home from has kiosks in their main office to make payments or add owners etc. when you click the terminal it pops up a hover text that so&so is currently using this machine for X minutes. So no one else can interact with it during that time frame.
  10. Side note on the copyright stuffs- I’ve wanted a 3D printed pixie forever. Pretty sure that would be illegal tho since I didn’t create her, just fashioned her together likes jigsaw puzzle from lots of shops. 😩
  11. I debated chiming in that by the reasoning of some that gachas are evil & addiction inducing- then they’d really faint when I mentioned baseball card packs & the unknown that entails & how folks have been buying baseball cards without legal intervention for 150+ years. But the more illicit part of card collecting is something regionally called pack wars (likely called something different in other places.). Basically a group of folks (mostly guys as I’ve had to sit thru a few for hubby’s sake) will all buy a pack of cards from the same unopened box. Whomever winds up opening the pack with the best card (looked up in beckett) gets everybody’s card. Really spectacularly great odds of winning nothing at all. & don’t kid yourself, these aren’t $5 bets- I’ve been aware of packs costing hundreds of dollar each. 🙀
  12. You likely could find lots of options by searching “role play rental”. Ive rented several times in the Soap role play region(s). There’s a dark small town and national forest area. Lots of different home types. https://worldofsoap.wixsite.com/wosrpg
  13. Absolutely no clue what my last gacha pull was- I’ve been computerless going on 2 years & only rarely (in fact today) can log in on a borrowed machine to look in for a few m9ments… but this is likely by far my favorite picture created from gacha prizes. My tiara was a rare that I actually won 4 or 5 times & gave extras to friends. Wasn’t able to win the commons I wanted if you can believe it. All the trophies, ribbon & sash were from gachas…..
  14. I waited up & didn’t post about Chapelwaite last week after the first episode, because I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. You know the whole nod to some books are meant to be tasted, swallowed or chewed & digested…. Well I had to wait my turn to get to the tv tonight to watch episode 2 & it was worth it. Stephen King is my favorite author, but I’m more a fan of his older works-movies (I even have a tattoo on one arm dedicated to a movie). Lately tho I have been pretty happy with his newest movie & tv adaptations- so here’s my endorsement & an opposable thumbs up! 👍 🍿 📺
  15. Yea it was. & out of line & uncalled for & grasping for anything to quip back when rational words fail you. Classy. & while I’m at it (& this will all be deleted or locked in 12 hours anyways- why are you so snooty re: what are you watching, eating, listening to threads. (& that was a . not a ?- didn’t want you to miss it seeing as you’re looking down at some of us peons who participate in silly threads.)
  16. Can I just point out that the sexy time toys in the not-a-gacha-but-really-is-machine are not unique & much cheaper means of obtaining the equivalent already flooding the SL market…
  17. I meant no offense, I honestly do not see the appeal in spending $175 a month for a venture such as yours- as close to your heart as it might be. If you do find another individual to help you out that’s super. By all means update the thread with a LM so we can visit.
  18. Not personal- just a response to yours. You seemed confused so I aimed to be facetiously helpful. 😃.
  19. One of the couples I root for on 90 day fiancé lives in NOLA as does the husbands family (she is from the Ukraine). They shared in IG that their homes are right in the line of the storm but that they’ve left the area & are safe. But we know not everyone has the means to go anywhere & it’s unrealistic to think there won’t be severe loss of property & life, not to forget all the animals. 🥺. I don’t know if I believe in prayer but I do hold those folks in my heart right now.
  20. Okay, since you felt the need to give the confused reaction to my already dumbed down explanation- let’s ratchet it up a notch. Linden Lab is not a publicly traded company. They are privately held. They aren’t required- obligated- nor morally or ethically in default by not giving you some dissertation on why they made this decision. They clearly felt the explanation they already gave was sufficient. It’s okay to not be personally satisfied with it. No one said you had to like it. But there’s nothing devious in not indulging unhappy campers with more dialogue when they’ve already been addressed. okay, now you can flash me angry eyes or report me for being sassy. still won’t bolster your stance that linden lab owes you something.
  21. Where did you find a contractual agreement between LL & users of SL that states LL must justify- inform- explain why they do anything? They did announce the ban “due to changing regulatory climate” in a blog post, updated TOS & was covered by multiple blogs & several threads here. It has been addressed. Me looking at TOS to try & find where LL has any obligation to “inform….actual….decisions” (they informed you- you don’t have to like it- *i dont* but it is what is & life will go on)
  22. Is what against rules or ToS? What are you asking? If you are asking if the virtual sex work is legal- under US law it is- no different than cam girls (or guys) who receive payment for being peeked at. If you want to point out how unregulated it is in SL in regards to who exactly are you interacting with (& their age) then that’s a whole other can of worms, but it’s not exactly what you asked. If you are asking if making a real living from SL is legal- of course it is .…..side note-afterthought: “hundreds & thousands of USD’. I really doubt it’s highly profitable because slex is everywhere with loads of it free & while there are certainly likely big spending whales they’re bound to be rare.
