Tomorrow dawns the day when we cannot shop for one hour!!!

Is everyone prepared?

Prepared...do you mean is the forum prepared for all the hysterical people that will show up here?Β  Hmmm, I cannot say for sure.Β  Β Should we practice deep breathing?

We can do this.Β  This has happened many times before.Β  I remember those days of yore when the grid was down for eight hours at a stretch some times.Β  The grid may have been down longer but for some reason I remember 8-hour stretches.Β  Those were rough to get through!

You're optimistic. This is LL we're talking about.

One hour for a major upgrade is almost impossible for every company.
If I were in their position, I would have announced several hours instead of one hour. That is way more realistic. One hour is terribly tight scheduled IMHO.

Yup and always during Western Europe's prime time. No exceptions.
And the three days after those famous maintenance Wednesdays gave crappy and shaking online experiences more than once.
Those where the days.

Fair point. Personally I always took the Scotty approach when quoting people a time.

So maybe it will actually take 1 minute since they will have a "hot swap" new database ready (pre-populated real time), but they are saying 1 hour because Scotty.

Well, the sun came up this morning as usual.
It looks like the start of a bright sunny day.
Now is this a good sign or a bad omen?
