Some bands I like to dig into their history and some I like keeping them where I don't know much at all about them outside of their music.. I find if I go digging too much, something changes and sometimes it's not for the better.. It's like protecting the perspective I guess.. I know a little bit about The Offspring outside the music, but not a lot.. One thing I found out about this song is Bryon "Dexter" Holland wrote this song shortly after his fiance had died in a car crash.. It changed my whole perspective of this song, but not in a bad way.. It really made it much deeper for me now.. I always had a crush on him and really felt so terrible for him and their daughter..
