The result looked quite like me but was smiling with teeth showing, while my original snapshot had me smiling slightly but teeth not showing. I'm guessing the software looks for a close match to your submitted picture from a bank of photos. It then processes the chosen photo, or combination of photos, to look like a painting. Only a guess!
