Sammy Huntsman
I am liking this new Lighting system, at least from the sneak peaks.

Lindens Rider Linden Posted October 4, 2018 Author Lindens Share Posted October 4, 2018 Here's a snap shot of the next version of the Region/Estate environment tab. This will be available in the next PV. Sky layer altitudes are adjustable at the region level.
Love Zhaoying
Will you be able to “animate” any of the textures (so that they move)?

Red goes on the inside. The interior of the halo should also be a little darker than the surrounding sky, and the outside a little brighter. That said, you also can't have a nearly full moon up in the sky near the sun, and I've been tolerating that forever. Right or wrong, those simulations are pretty.

Asked if I could get another by speeding on my return home, he handed me a second, saying "Save me the effort." 1 1
Love Zhaoying
I see Halos around lights after swimming, somehow the chlorine does that to my eyes. Will check the color order next time.
Callum Meriman
Rainbows and Region control and oh my! I sit here drooling on my keyboard thinking of the day we can control this in a script (using an experience key)
Love Zhaoying
Will this work for Mainland regions, or just Private regions?

I can imagine, it would work for all. But Lindens would have total control over the Mainland portion.
Love Zhaoying
Not what I meant. Will mainland residents who own entire regions get this feature, or just private “non-mainland” regions?
Sammy Huntsman
I Can imagine, residents who own full Mainland Regions, would get those same privileges.
Garnet Psaltery
Yay for Day Offset (presume this means changing the day to another timezone?)! Yay for parcel overrides! My tenants will be happy.

They will be able to do it at the parcel level. 2

KT Kingsley
I'd guess that llGetDayOffset would return how far the day cycle is into llGetDayLength.

Parcel owners should have access to all EEP features (unless the estate managers have explicitly specified otherwise.) The only exception to this will be sky altitudes (equivalent to what Firestorm calls "zones"). These are only settable at the Region level.

So for day cycles set to 24hours it will be roughly equivalent to a time zone. From memory, the calculation is as follows: daycycle_pos = ((GMTNow + DayOffset) % DayLength) / DayLength; 1
