  1. I'm a fan of the live music scene in SL, but I base where I go on the performer and not the club. I have a list of my favorite performers and I follow their schedule. This way I know I'm going to like the music and I know there's a pretty good group of people who follow that performer as well. In time you get to know each other in the group.
  2. I get what you are saying, but I don't understand why LL would hold up progress for those who are no longer active in SL. Bulldoze the land and when or if the person comes back they are welcome to get a new Linden home in the newly developed area. Seems pretty simple to me.
  3. I see the lab acting like the Fed (USA) does to curb inflation by adjusting interest rates. It's still capitalism at work and supply and demand is a huge part of that, but there are things that the Fed (LL) can do to impact the economy (land pricing).
  4. This is why I hope they will evacuate the current Linden Homes continents and delete them once the new Linden Home regions are introduced.
  5. I seriously doubt all that extra work you went through had anything to do with you finally being able to log in.
  6. If it's abandoned land you're after, you simply submit a ticket requesting the land. So find the abandoned parcel of land you're interesting in and create a slurl for it to include in the ticket information. If you only want a portion of the parcel be sure to include that information as well. Typically a Linden will set that parcel for sale to you for 1L a sqm. I say typically because if the land you're interested in is premium land, like double prim land, then it's not likely they will sell that to you.
  7. Oh, you can if you're careful about land impact. Seriously, you have no idea how hard it used to be to furnish a home. But in these days of mesh and increased prim allotments .. you are living in the best of times for furnishing a home. Be happy!
  8. I have both an in-world store, though many times I've considered closing it, and a marketplace store. Everything I sell is in the Marketplace store but my in-world location only contains my newer releases and best sellers. As for my personal shopping method, MP or in-world. I actually prefer shopping in-world. I rarely buy from the MP unless I'm looking for specific gacha items. I will on occasion use the MP as a tool for window shopping, but once I find something in the MP I will go to the in-world shop to purchase. Now you may well wonder if that's my personal behavior why in the world would I consider closing my in-world shop. Well, in a nutshell, it's because 90% of my sales come from the MP. So I from time to time question whether spending money to have an in-world location is worth it, especially during those times when I wish I had more prims for my SL home.
  9. If you change the filters you can pretty much see EVERYTHING I kept wondering why I never saw the Maitreya body listed in area search when I was at events when I knew at least 50% of the women there were in the body. You have to change the filters to allow attachments and temporary to show up and then the body will be visible in the list.
  10. Horizons are all 1024. You can buy adjoining lots and put them both in the same group and then use as one parcel but no you cannot join parcels.
  11. Horizon's has pre-built homes that you can rez from the mailbox but they are optional Bay City has no pre-built homes. Nautilus City has no pre-built homes, but I do believe the original style homes are still available for free at one of the Mole built features. Here is the slurl to where those textures, buildings, and objects can be found all free of charge. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Nautilus - Shalim/229/111/25 No pre-builts in the four regions to the east of Bay City either. None of these lands hold Linden Homes. They are all regular mainland with the exception that they are double prim and no terraforming is allowed. There are some, very few, double prim lands that have terraforming available but they are in the adult lands in Zindra along the west coast. They are extremely ... EXTREMELY expensive if you can find any available.
  12. Add Skinnery and Deetalez to you list to check. Both have appliers and system skins as well.
  13. I don't save Blush or Debi's stipends, but when I had the extra 3 I only logged them in once or twice a year to send them a few additional lindens and then to cash out so the funds were in the account on renewal day. It is so inexpensive if you do it this way.
  14. I faced this battle some time ago. I wanted more prims but didn't want to jump to the next level in tier. So I just made another premium account. I got the extra land and prims I wanted but didn't have to pay that huge jump in tier. That was many years ago. At one time I had five premiums. Now I only have two premiums but all the land I own is double prim land. Gotta say I love my prims!!!!
  15. One thing to consider when buying any mainland is how much of an investment are you willing to make. It's expensive but IMO totally worth the extra cost to buy double prim land. It's very pricey, but if you look long and hard and have patience you can sometimes find double prim land .. well lets not say a inexpensively .. but for less than most other double prim lands. The good thing about that is when or if you decide to sell the land you will almost assuredly get back your investment and quite possibly, if you were really patient and diligent in the search and found a good deal, make a profit on that land. So, if making that kind of investment is something you'd like to look into you can find double prim lands in the Horizons area, Bay City, Nautilus City, and the four regions just to the east of Bay City.
  16. What are you agreeing with? My post was all about why I keep logging in. I don't think there's anything stale about SL. So you have me very confused.
  17. These days I refer most people to the video reviews done by Strawberry Singh. They are current and there's nearly a video on every head/body out there .. nearly but not all. Here's a link to her Youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCE6xvjkOu6wE-wJ-7-1x5bw. Scan down to the Second Life Content title and you'll see playlists for mesh bodies and heads, both male and female.
  18. I should have mentioned it's Debi Baskerville's rez day ... she's my main and almost always it's her pics I post here. and thanks!
  19. Today is my 15th rezday (technically Debi's rez day) so I decided to go find a fun "old" build. This one isn't really that old having been built in 2011, but it was old enough for my desire to get nostalgic. It's a fun build with all kinds of freebies. If you want to visit Rizal Games here's your taxi: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Rizal/119/108/23 Who knew you could do one arm handstands at my age! Don't know why I have so much fun on these bouncy house things. Ending the adventure with a bike ride and a chocolate ice cream. All freebies found in the shops here.
  20. Omega hairbases ONLY work on mesh heads. If you are still using a classic (system) head then you cannot use this hairbase.
  21. Well cr*p. I've never really paid attention to this: As many times as I"ve listed my products, I never paid attention. I think it really is my bias against the system body. I really hated that body for so many years that now I just refused to call or recognize it as classic ... because I tend to look at the definition of the word as So thanks for the correction. I'm going to have to adjust my verbiage now. *grumbles to self.
  22. And we love you! I think there's a difference between providing customer support and supporting customers. Of course I want to make sure that any customer who buys one of my products loves my creation and I will bend over backwards to be sure that's the case. But I don't owe it to my customers to give my creations away or provide a free VIP group.
  23. Honestly, I think I need to just remove classic as a word defining any of the body parts, whether system or mesh. The Merriam-Webster definition for classic: a: serving as a standard of excellence : of recognized value b: TRADITIONAL, ENDURING c: characterized by simple tailored lines in fashion year after year So, I don't think the word classic really is useful to describe any of the body parts. So from this point forward (if I can remember), I'm going to use system, rigged mesh, and bento rigged mesh. Sorry for the slight derail.
