You haven't met any of the ones I have then because they have and do say such things, almost verbatim. Reading through these last few posts I have to wonder if any of you are aware of just how long Gor has been online? It was/is in Active Worlds and has been for 23/24 years. Before that it was in chats like YaHell Messenger (never saw it in YaHell but it's just an example). And before that, there was UseNet. Gor has been online for probably over 30 years now. And all that time people have been saying it would not last long. A bunch of them did get together and created their own grid several years ago. And they do "recruit" for that grid in SL. They tried to recruit me then got pissy when I refused to leave SL. They always get pissy when you don't fall for their bs.

His "tone" in the OP is what made the thread go south. It stunk to high heaven of narcissism.

It has been from the get go. I don't have any faith or hope left that it will ever change. Not after more than a decade of no changes.

I have the feeling it isn't just an opinion of what should be done when I take into consideration LL's past track record that I know of... When I have that feeling that a bombshell is about to drop, it's rarely wrong. Just a question of when. It wouldn't surprise me if this were the bombshell I've been waiting for. It's already falling. Wait... so all the effort and work I've been putting into making my creations as low LI as possible has all been wasted since, at some point in the future, LI is just going to increase after LL increased region/parcel allowances? Sounds an awful lot like the recent blowup over decreasing basic account group allowances (7) in order to be able to increase premium group allowances (10) in order to reduce the "load" on the servers. Just how is decreasing by 7 and increasing by 10 supposed to help when you end up with 3 more groups per premium account than what you started with? Increasing the load is supposed to help? Rhetorical questions. Still the same old Linden Lab Dog and Pony Show.

I logged in yesterday morning with the specific purpose of blocking inworld for that reason. I'm also finding it a bit odd that nothing has been done in the past 48 hours. It's almost as if he knows he can get away with it. Frankly, this isn't the only forum that reeks of favoritism by mods.

Thanks. You've just convinced me that going premium is not something I want to do. Not because of the flags. The only thing the flags are advertising is a rez zone for boats. A very specific use. It's a service provided for free by the residents for residents. Very thoughtful of them actually. There was a time when it was almost impossible to find somewhere to rez your catamaran and be able to sail it away from where you rezzed it. It was even harder to find and place to rez a sail something larger than a catamaran. So I, for one, am grateful there are those willing to pay for the waterfront and allow complete strangers to use their dock(s) for free. It's even that way in RL still, in some places.

Deals/contracts get renegotiated periodically so it's probably changed several times since the original contract was negotiated. In all likelihood, in favor of PayPal, which makes the fee hikes for residents understandable. LL's costs go up and they are of the opinion they must recoup that loss and the only way they see (even though it isn't the only way) to do that is to raise the residents' fees. Good business practice in principle but not in practice.

You didn't state that you were talking about just the smoking aspect of the commercials. What else was I supposed to think other than you were talking about the commercials as a whole, not just the product. This is twice in two days. I feel like traps are being laid for me and I have no idea why that is being done. I'm already walking on eggshells here after more than 15 years of no suspensions or bans and then all of a sudden that changes. If people really do hate me that much then it's time for me to disappear.
