Ever find yourself waiting for the person in front of you to move off the LP so you can enter the building? In RL? Yeah, and I've said "el oh el" out loud, too. Took me a bit to realize why all those people were looking at me so strangely.

People point with fingers (even though it's considered rude), not with thumbs. In some cultures the lips or chin are used to point, not thumbs. I've never heard of a culture where thumbing pointing is/was used instead of finger pointing. So which are we discussing? Thumb pointing or finger pointing? Or are you trying to tell me you are all thumbs?

Well...what the residents wanted back then did play a large part in it so it was kind of obvious what would have happened if they had made it a violation (that was discussed). Land barony started as soon as LL made regions available for sale. Anshe jumped on it right away and others followed her lead very quickly. The only reason group tier was popular was because at the time it was the only way to have land without having to pay premium. LL had shut basics out of land "ownership" completely even if only for a very short time. LL keeps coming up with plans that backfire on them. It's long past the time LL should have learned they need to change their approach. There will always be someone who will see through the distractions/deceptions and speak up. They know what silencing the residents would mean. Most of them would probably rather not lose their jobs.

Thumbs are not fingers. Although thumbs have certain similarities to fingers, there are some key differences. It’s therefore more accurate to describe a thumb as one of five digits that we have on each hand, rather than as a finger. LL knew they would be in competition with land barons when they first allowed residents to buy regions. But instead of lowering land prices to be more competitive (mainland vs private estates), they raised them in an apparent attempt to discourage land barons. They never (that I am aware) even considered lowering tier. Lower pricing and tier for mainland only is what would allow LL to be more competitive in the land market and more profitable via increased volume. But the land barons would throw hissy fits over that.

Quality time does not require currency. Just be yourself. The right one will come along at the right time. Just don't try to force it to happen. The more you look for love, the more elusive love becomes.

Love, that thumb is not pointing at you. It is pointing up. The tip bending back a bit doesn't count as pointing. Besides, you aren't pointing so much as you are about to shoot an imaginary pistol.

I like the idea. There's only one problem. They'd be lost among the "competition".

Because premiums are getting increases in groups and offlines while basics are getting reductions or nothing. LL had its reasons for reducing stipends from 500Ls to begin with back in the early days. I had to go back to basic over 10 years ago and haven't been able to afford premium since no matter how bad I want it. Sorry. I have no sympathy for someone who can afford it.

Why not just read the dozen other threads about the exact same thing? You might be surprised to find out that what basics didn't get to keep were the same number of offlines. Those did get reduced. There are other things you might find surprising, if you'd at least skim those threads.

What are you talking about? I haven't put any one down. If anything you've been putting me down simply because I don't fall all over myself to keep up with SL fashions! Game? What the hell? So all of this was to just try to make me look like something I'm not? I've certainly got your number now. Talk about playing mind games. Wow.

I was gone for those (almost) 5 years and since I haven't gotten back into modeling, no I would not know about some of them. I don't read fashion blogs. I don't need them. I don't follow SL trends and fads and have no desire to. Not even when I was modeling. I don't follow the trends and fads in RL either. I do my thing. Always have. Always will. Mother taught me well. Maybe a little too well. I always wondered what it was like to turn down not only the NYC Ballet but the Metropolitan Opera, too, and raise a family instead. My point is, we don't all follow the trends and fad fashions in SL. Some of us just are not like "every other woman".

lol Assuming they are all clothing creators, how many of those were established more than 5 years ago when I was still modeling in both SL and InWorldz? What makes you think your idea(s) of fashion are the same as mine? Who is the one being judgmental here and who needs to lighten up?

Good idea! Let's keep sending my jobs overseas so I can no longer afford to eat or keep a roof over my head. Why is Adobe's CS so crappy? It's because the call centers they contract with (Stream) keep sending it back to Mumbai! And then the call center (Stream) gets taken over by another flailing call center (Convergys)! Yep. It was Stream's decision to lay off a bunch of people that they couldn't fit into another contract and send the Adobe CS contract to their shiny new Mumbai center, not Adobe's, as we found out afterwards.
