  1. That would be like the character in 'The Vicar of Dibley' who has a catchphrase 'no no no no yes'. Previously, we've been told this would never happen, now I'm wondering myself if it might not be better than 'clone tiles' or 'clone stamped' regions which look a bit out of place. I mean I don't want clones at all, but at least the plots would be only doubled. In the victorian continent interior there's a lot of similarity between all the regions due to the need to match the edges up. The trouble with this method, we were told was that it isn't possible to copy already occupied regions, so it might simply be impossible to do.
  2. @Mitch Merricks ooh 'encroachment checkers'. Is that a new thing I wonder, or part of the existing QA procedures? It would be interesting if it were an automated system for alerting the governance team to muffin top landscaping issues on residential plots (ie where people overhang their boundaries)
  3. I need to have more confidence in @Leora Jacobus list! I was decorating my kitchen in Bluff Knoll when suddenly there was a lot of shouting and activity next door. I was very surprised that they released a region with empty plots.
  4. I tend to notice them on the mini-map! (or at least the pilot)
  5. For a sense of fairness I feel the need to add that I have also seen some very well built airports, and even the most awful examples don't rival the brain mangling appallingness of the worst builds out there of other types, especially the genre defying 'what were they thinking' kind.
  6. There are a great number of truly horrible, eye-blight, sky floating, concrete coated menaces to the environment masquerading as airports in second life, so it is no wonder that this causes a negative reaction outside of the flying community. Having said that, the airstrips in Belli seem absolutely fine to me, and whilst I haven't yet tried flying in SL I have enjoyed the experience in less densely populated grids and really understand the appeal. Virtual flying looks like fun!
  7. As this thread was posted in the Lindens homes section of the forum it seems reasonable that the answers revolve around Bellisseria. Of course it is easy to miss in which section a post has been made when quickly reading through 'latest posts'. As in any other aspect of life, there will be sections of people who are happy getting on with things by themselves, or in a small familiar group, and others who seek to reach out a bit further to find their sense of community.
  8. What are we keeping out with these fences? My avatar is around 5'4" for comparison. (I think she's shrunk, I'm blaming @Pussycat Catnap for alerting me to short arm syndrome as i had to reduce my height to match my arms) Is anyone else struggling to see out?
  9. This is certainly a big 'oops'. What if it had been your dream plot. Maybe this thread will attract some others who have had a similar experience.
  10. I'm thinking that this would be a good time for LL to offer another annual deal of some sort?
  11. I would have to dig my alt out of a ditch somewhere, the poor creature has not received much attention lately. As for Belli homes last seen, I am currently magnetically attracted to a plot in Gridley Crossroads, it is my Hotel California of the trad world.
  12. Hopefully that outlook is more pessimistic than necessary. I've noticed violations being removed. It's not impossible that the (is it the governance team?) peeps who deal with ARs are still working out the priorities with regard to this stuff, and there will be times when they are just busy. Our feedback here may also be important, as it is different to see a topic discussed, rather than a single person sending in an AR with minimal notes.
  13. Hi Rabid, welcome to Bellisseria! Joining some groups is a good idea, I find Bellisseria citizens to be the most active during my online time. Also stay around on the forum as you will find out all sorts of interesting things! Yes there are events, again you will need to join groups to find out about these as we don't yet have a central place to list Belli happenings. From my perspective Belli is like village life, you need to network just a little to join in.
  14. @Alwin Alcott I have a lot of sympathy for your irritation. I'm not sure if I would AR this though unless a whole herd of lag inducing horses appeared.
  15. @Ziggy Starsmith you don't own one of these enormous flags by any chance? Wondering why you are so sensitive about the topic.
  16. Isn't trolling an outward expression of attitude?
  17. I am developing a theory that the problem of endless youth in SL shops comes down to an issue in the supply chain. Currently, my imagined scenario is that a good proportion of the products seen in this world are made by talented teenagers earning extra pocket money in their odoriferous bedrooms during the time available outside full time education. As, in this case, they would be too busy to observe any other types of human being apart from their schoolmates, and unfortunate examples encountered via 'wewantyourparentscreditcardrussianporn.com'. Fortunately there are some shops which seem to be free from this (alleged) external contracting, but they take some finding. edit: Actually that's not fair, there are many wonderful creators out there and I love their stuff...I have my suspicions about the rest though!
  18. Maybe the same plot I abandoned, had the same neighbour on the other side. Looks like garden trolling to me.
  19. It's hard to know how casual readers take things if they don't comment, but the alternative view could be that people here really care about Bellisseria. Unless of course that imagined reader were thinking of starting a floating whale farm, they could be put off the project by reading this thread
