  1. Granted, but it turns out that she crocheted them all from extruded cabbage fibre and now there's a terrible smell of rotting vegetation. I wish I could work the text selection on this new chromebook (thank you santa!)
  2. @Walpurgisnacht I'm enjoying my year of premium and getting as much out of it as possible right now. Belli home hopping is a journey of self discovery , in addition to exploring the continent in more depth.
  3. Even though I picked the topic title I'm struggling to prioritise my wishlist! I so much want some lovely modern homes with large windows, but more than that I want some gorgeous and unique new terrains to explore. Ok it's got to be this. Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills Hills
  4. @Loretta String thank you that makes sense! Looks like I am back in the game then
  5. I wish Patch, Moles and all the team a happy and peaceful holiday season, and thank you for all your work this year creating this beautiful virtual continent. I'm looking forward to following your progress next year, and to continue enjoying being part of the community created here and inworld.
  6. Granted, your xmas time machine dilator arrived next week but now your dinner happened last Thursday and we are soon to be moving into January 1977 in the New year if you can't get some new batteries quickly. I wish we had bought some extra batteries (our tree-lights are now down to pathetic flicker level)
  7. Lovely house @Leora Jacobus I think Westlake is the current release though? Just got four of those and some neighbours have red writing.
  8. I'm really hoping for some new and varied landscapes to get excited about in 2020! Hopefully with some great new housestyles as well.
  9. It's the other way round for me! There are many pretty Victorians but I prefer the more varied landscape of old Belli.
  10. I found a lovely series of steps on the coast in Everett. This very pretty flight were made by @Garden Mole It makes me smile when I see so much care gone into the landscaping
  11. It's tough to keep up at times as information can get scattered around, so I'm grateful when members here take the trouble to share significant chat posts.
  12. I tried four traditionals today, one was a duplicate from yesterday so that may (or may not) say something about the number of this type currently in the pool. I've now got a property which is set back from, but overlooks the water and that will do nicely for now. Yesterday I also chose one Victorian so I could grab the content bundle (the plants look lovely and have good low LI)
  13. Granted but they also do all the things you did want to do, and then lock you in the cellar with only a damp copy of the Radio Times and a squashed holly wreath for company. I wish i could knit faster.
  14. Good time to shop for traditionals too. I picked up four separate homes within a half hour.
  15. I'd love to see Nicola dressed as a vegetable! The SNP is actually a political party rather than a news channel, she is head of the Scottish National Party and her candidate ousted the head of a different party from her seat.
  16. I'm sorry @Aslan Vlodovic I can see you want to stimulate some sort of discussion here, but it feels like revisiting old ground to me. Please stay around and see if anything else takes your interest. Hopefully someone will see @Pussycat Catnap's request and do something about the blockage.
  17. I'm very grateful to everyone who has read and responded to this thread, and especially to @Nika Talaj for her very kind post. The moles / lindens are busy but they do read our words here, and that's part of the reason I've been turning myself inside out trying to think or feel about this differently. I have the utmost respect for their hard work, determination and sheer talent in creating this project. I am also aware that there will be pressures beyond their control which affect how they proceed. A few of you have mentioned the idea of stepping back,or doing something differently, and in essence taking a break of some kind. This is good advice and I'll find a way to do that.
  18. Thanks to everyone for their responses. @Walpurgisnacht I have had plots on all those continents you mention, and a few more! I do think that time away would be helpful though, to get a fresh perspective.. Like @Luna Bliss I'm hoping that new developments might go back to the old pattern, but I'm not sure how hopeful I feel when I see the houseboat pickle doubled. This may have been the plan all along, but I didn't know that, so for me, it's a change. @Alyona Su I do use the map so much, it's part of my enjoyment, choosing somewhere to visit by looking at the map. I did think though, that there are probably already cloned patterns within existing Belli that i haven't noticed. Yes, I am realising this, and many people keep their draw distance fairly low all the time as well. Yes, and I'm frustrated with myself wanting more when what we have is already lovely! I think the planting and quality of houses will elevate the feel of the neighbourhoods beyond what the Lindens achieved with the old continent.
  19. I've been really engaged, map and forum watching since before the first releases last (May was it?) There's been so many things about this new project that have been fascinating, and I've so much enjoyed interacting with everyone on the forum and joining in the buzz. I love the houses, but my overall pleasure has been in watching this unique virtual landscape unfold in surprising and wonderful ways. I expect like many others that I've had hopes or expectations which were never practical, or likely to happen, or maybe just down to my personal wants and not shared by others, and I've made sense of all that and still felt engaged. Now though, I just don't seem to be able to get past the region cloning in the new builds. I'm not saying it's a logical reaction, after all, the old continent was cloned to the max and I dealt with it in that context. Maybe because Belli felt like a bit of a dream slightly outside of the rest of second life, or even more like a real place that was being revealed out of the mist. Bellisseria engaged my imagination and drew me in. Now the edges are reaching out to the old mainland, possibly not such a bad thing long term, but in my mind at the moment, those two landscapes don't fit too well together. With that, and the seeming refocus on home plots rather than extra amenities, it's as if the piece of string that attached me to this place has been gently cut and I'm drifting away without knowing what to do about it. Belli so much exceeded my expectations, and it is still there, and what exists now is very lovely, and I'm frustrated to have my house not decorated and feel unmotivated to continue. Any thoughts?
  20. I do appreciate the effort that goes into planning and executing this project. Also as someone who was resident on a different grid which collapsed due to financial problems, I am glad that attention is paid to getting a return on any investment. I guess as we don't have access to the details of the long term plans, then it is easy to build up hopes and ideas which were never intended to be fulfilled.
  21. I've already abbreviated down to Vicbelli
  22. I sometimes wonder what it would be like to experience second life from a USA timezone perspective. Did anyone go to this event?
