  1. You could hide in a hedge near the property you just abandoned and wait until somebody claims it. Then wait some more to make sure the new owner doesn't turn up and abandon it immediately. If, when you get a property you are not keen on, you see three people hanging around in the street this is probably what they are doing, which also suggests that there are few houses in the pool that day. You have the choice then to abandon then go do something else for half a day to allow the property stack to refresh, but go check your original property before you make another choice in case it is 'in maintenance' again. My theory is that some people who claim by phone take longer to check their property, so watch out for end of USA work hours and the return of house X. Also, don't wait in your abandoned property stark naked with your partner then run out into the street together in a panic when the house is claimed. That's a pro tip I picked up after claiming a trad a week ago
  2. @Chic Aeon Are we absolutely sure that the reveal will be a house style, and not some other thing?
  3. Might be a good way to spread the word about skyboxes allowed but must be at the correct height? If there are potential new residents looking around.
  4. This is an ingenious use of space! I never thought of putting the fireplace between the two doors in the Alderley and I really love your bedroom! Also you have double front steps (and it looks like some more behind the plot!).
  5. Would be nice with stone houses, and a duck pond!
  6. Might be too dense for most people? What about a 'hamlet', say 6-8 houses in a row, compensated for by having much more open surroundings?
  7. I've found it hard to find interesting blogs to read, most seem to consist of just pictures or a list of information. I miss the experience actually. Like @Qie Niangao I get frustrated with videos. It's much quicker to absorb a written piece.
  8. If we did get the large windowed modern now it would cause me a dilemma as I've just found a trad that I like enough to stay in!
  9. I can see 17th century buildings near to where I am, but that doesn't mean they are modern. What era do you fancy?
  10. Victorians aren't modern? The campers are mostly vintage designs, and the Trads are last century. Not sure about the houseboats. All within a couple of hundred years I'll grant you.
  11. I'm attracted to the 'ran away petrified after it all got out of control' theory. The not reading the covenant thing would be part of the unconscious build up to that scenario.
  12. Oooh curvy L-shaped steps in SSPE350 courtesy of @Moonstruck Mole A nice plot too, with a railway cutting behind it. I'm loving the houses released lately, the large scale geography of a grand and gradual sweep up to the mountains has led to some delightful landscaping. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SSPE350/108/196/32
  13. The lady in the white fur jacket has her thumb on the trigger, soon it will be dead moooohahahah!
  14. I love it Chloe! Looks like you got the station master's house
