  1. I was in SL early Tuesday morning when I saw someone had given me money. I got all excited, wondering who could've done this. Maybe my ex bf who's still friendly with me? Then I remembered...Oh. yeah, the Tuesday stipend. 😆
  2. What? I thought the Forums After Dark are when all the naughty talk happens now. 😆
  3. There are new regions not showing yet on the map between theI inhabited Mediterranean regions and the ones @SarahKB7 Koskinen just posted. The first 3 I noted before I lagged out and logged out are: SSP Etoile Brilliante, SSP Aube Lilas and SSP Signal Crescent. And yes, we have a rail line running through here with a Station. 😀 🚆
  4. The names do sound odd for the Mediterranean theme, but on the other hand the LDPW has changed names before. Perhaps the names are a psy-op to confuse us?
  5. Thank goodness the dawn setting only lasts for a few minutes. It makes my whites look like I washed them with a new red shirt or towel.
  6. Yes, and neither should mesh bodies, heads, skins or hair. I've seen more than a few people complain in a skin store or mesh head store group that their avatar didn't look as it does in the vendor picture, only to be told that they need to change their EEP settings to this or such EEP setting recommended by the store owner.
  7. I know how to link objects to lower Land Impact. I know how to add light to a prim using Edit functions and how to remove a script after it's already creating its desired effect. I don't think most people, at least not newer users, know how to do these things, however. Which Linden Home themes are likely to get updated for PBR? Maybe just Ranch and Mediterranean? This would make sense to me, since people paying for Premium Plus are more likely to be able to afford a newer, higher end computer. Many of us mere Premiun subscribers might not even want to use PBR with our pre-PBR furniture and furnishings.
  8. We can't change the objects we don't own. What I do for a walkway or driveway is to rez a box, then flatten and stretch it until it matches the dimensions of the existing walkway or driveway. Line it up carefully, then texture it with the textures in the content pack. Be sure to adjust the repeats on the texture to match as well. Then lock the new piece in place. If you add simple mesh items to your yard, you may be able to link one to this piece of walkway as well, to lower your Land Impact a bit. If you want to add to the fencing or border hedges, you can rez pieces from the content pack, link them to an object you own that's inside your parcel, then move them until they line up with the fence or hedge that's outside of your parcel. As long as the root prim is inside your parcel and the prims outside of it don't block movement or a view and don't look out of place, nobody is going to care if a few of your prims overhang onto Linden land. Example of my alt's house when I first got it: Example after I added a walkway, driveway, more fencing, a carport, flowers from the content pack, and a railing and gingerbread decor from the SL Marketplace:
  9. Some people have said we'll need to add lighting inside our houses with PBR enabled. While lighting from a fireplace, lamp, or candle can look good, it also requires more scripts and possibly more objects such as lamps or invisible light sources. With current environment settings, these can shine through walls, which is not at all realistic and can even create glow outside of one's house. Is PBR going to create an even bigger problem of lighting up the whole neighborhood in densely inhabited regions such as Bellisseria?
  10. More for SLB21, we could have "Ask a Forumite" panels. One day the subject could be building and scripting. Another day could be SL relationship advice. Another day could be mesh bodies advice or how to make a furry avatar.
  11. I think Sid should start the thread. He already came up with some good ideas. Maybe Pheeby could be in charge of the build project? @PheebyKatz, Are you any good at herding cats? You do know how to build stuff, script stuff, and handle problem people with humor. @Zalificent Corvinus would be great on an advice panel, kind of like Simon Cowell on America's Got Talent. I love the idea of showcasing the artistic photos here too.
  12. This is a good idea. The forum is a community too. Why wait for SLB21 though? We could start with the Community Exhibit at the Welcome Hub. The forums can be off-putting to newbies though. Younger people are probably not used to having to read so much or the land mine social dynamics of a group of people from such diverse perspectives and communication styles. I find forum drama to be part of the fun, but it can also be an emotional roller coaster at times.
  13. I recommend looking at No.Match's group gifts. They have a box of older hair bases and a few styles with ponytails or braids. I don't know if Amacci is still around, but they had some nice gift hairbases.
  14. The seller has a right to price their items how they wish. The customer has a right to buy them or not. Where is the confusion here? The customer can try to haggle for a lower price or a better price if they buy in bulk, but complaining publically that $1 is too much to pay, for instance, for a virtual item that took the creator some time and money to create and market, is actually pretty self-entitled and rude.
  15. Suitably elegant negligees seem encouraging. TASTE
  16. @Rat Luv Maybe we can use a 🌵 emoji, since we apparently can't say pr.ickly pear either?
  17. Even the Pet Peeves and Make Me Laugh threads seem to be on thin ice at times.
  18. I wonder if SL has IVF roleplay. That could be interesting.
  19. It took me months to realize there was a world map. To this day I don't know where the first 2 places I rented were located on the inworld map.
  20. I did suggest it should be a region for shooting zombies back in October.
