  1. Someone should sell a ridable or flying dumpster on MP. I found only this one so far. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Steampunk-Dumpster-Dirigible/2328704
  2. It's just as well that you don't want to go to the Welcome Hub. You'd probably scare off the newbies.
  3. I have a hard time understanding extroverts or those who don't seem to be introspective. I guess it's like them liking different food or music than I do. I can be happy working on a packaging line while my mind creates all kinds of ideas to entertain itself or lying in bed imagining conversations. I think my inner life is alot bigger than my outer life, but I'm ok with this.
  4. You can save a list of favorite rez sites or put them in a teleport HUD. But you can't get anywhere directly from an isolated region.
  5. I'm the same. I prefer to shop on my own, then stand in my skybox sorting inventory. (I'm weird 'cuz I find that relaxing, listening to my music stream.) I like keeping a couple group chat windows open and chatting in them when something catches my interest. I like helping newbies from time to time, but don't like it when they expect my attention every time they see I'm inworld. From what I've seen posted on these forums, introverts love SL.
  6. There are different kinds of humor, some gentle and some harsh. George Carlin, Lewis Black, and Cathy Griffin would fall into the harsher camp. Cathy Griffin has made some huge blunders in what she though was funny. So has Dave Chappell. Humor is a hit or miss art that comedians in RL get a chance to refine in front of live audiences. Zali makes good points with her sarcastic humor sometimes. I just get tired of it when it's too much of the same thing over and over.
  7. Yup. The numbers are back to normal now.
  8. I only understood "stuck in a mental block", "next phase", "attempting to", "generating a list" and "I hope to make incremental progress". Good Luck, Love. I hope to make incremental progress today too. 😊
  9. I noticed this morning that the number of available parcels for Log Homes has dropped by 200. Chalets and Fantasy homes have both dropped by about 300. I doubt we suddenly had such a big influx in users taking these homes, so I think the LDPW must've taken some parcels out of the availability pool. If they only did this to lower the visible number of empty homes, this allow should make these themes seem more desirable. Perhaps they're also updating these themes in some way? 🤔
  10. The Community Exhibits are a Work in Progress. I like that they give sim owners a chance to showcase their regions to new users, but they do require some work to create. It would be harder for LL to showcase communities within SL because communities are not single, consistent entities, but rather conglomerates of many diverse sims, groups and views. One way to show more communities to a new user would be the rather boring but efficient use of teleport boards, with pictures of different sims. I'm not suggesting replacing the showcase diases, just adding teleport boards for those who don't want to create a whole display. Teleport boards are low Land Impact, easy to create, and easy to use. They would also remove the step of taking the user out of SL to the website, just to teleport them back into a region within SL.
  11. The MacBeth sim was cool, if it's still around. Of course there is Innsmouth, a great recreation of the coastal town in Lovecraft's short story. I'll assume you're not interested in the sims that reference "The Story of O" or Anne Rice's "Sleeping Beauty" series. 😄
  12. Check out the thread for LaraX updates. There are some free group gifts, sales and updated clothes there that you may already have. Also try your Legacy sizes. Sometimes they fit on LaraX.
  13. Did you notice that most of us haven't been talking about for most of this thread? 🤔
  14. There are some topics that should be avoided because they only lead to drama, anger, hurt feelings and bitterness. On the other hand, mentioning sensitive topics usually just results in those posts being removed and a warning from a moderator. It doesn't result in people getting banned from the forums or SL unless the posts are really bad or consistent. I the the environment on the forums is pretty good, though sometimes a bit boring. It's not the toxic dump it was many years ago and we can still have some interesting conversations. ( I wanted to make a better analogy but I couldn't think of a phase that means the kind of restrictive environment found in Communist China, North Korea, modern day Russia or cold war Eastern Germany. )
  15. One way to tell if a joke is crossing a line or not is whether it punches up or punches down. Making fun of politician is generally considered punching up, unless one is making fun of them having cancer or having a loved one die, for instance.
  16. A few people have seagulls on their parcels, but I think most of them have gotten wise to the water pistols, so they stay hidden.
  17. There will always be some houses available, but not always Ranch, Mediterranean, Stilt on Water, or Stlit on Pier. If you're worried that you might end up with no house for 24 hours, then keep your 5th pick until another 24 hours have passed.
