  1. It's an open house and there are two gifts (in question mark boxes). One is outside with the bucket and one inside. My neighbour also has a bucket and a gift giver. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Selinofoto/42/193/22
  2. Sturmhafen (stilts) has been released along with the chalet channel regions. The stilts should be gettable from the random system. You're likely to have to use a plus ticket for the channel as there are a lot of empty chalets around in general.
  3. Someone seems to be adding every bucket they find to the spreadsheet, so if you (general you, not Nika specifically) don't want yours listed there, I'd suggest checking it isn't there. Also expect repeats towards the end due to that, as some were already listed by the owners. It worked for a glorious almost a day! It's generally gone a lot better than last year. I haven't hit any autoban orbs yet and nobody has assumed I'm there to see their avatar naked. So I wandered about, stole a car, crashed it, got a few gifts.
  4. That's normal for a bucket that isn't shared. Those of us searching every region will find it, but it takes the whole event time to search every region. It can't be done in a few hours. Nothing to worry about as there are no prizes for getting the most clicks on a bucket. Last time, the top looked to be in about the 1000 candies and up area, but they didn't announce the final scores.
  5. I did find the candy bucket. It's particularly evil this time, but it's there!
  6. I did a similar thing to diamond... I rezzed it and picked up each item individually, so I'd have a collection of the dolls and stuff to use if I wanted. I've repurposed other gifts before. They did a candy cauldron a few years back, which gave out a message and unscripted candy (useful for non-human avatars), but was heavy on land impact. So I moved all the contents to a one land impact candy bowl.
  7. It's not about whether the space is land or water. It's whether it's protected land owned by the Lindens or private land owned by a resident. Places that are owned by the Lindens should not have resident objects sticking into them (that can be reported). Land owned by residents can have whatever they like. As you've discovered, there are a fair number of coast water bits that don't connect with anything else, so you can't get through. The public coast doesn't go all the way around. I'd suggest heading to Bellisseria for open swimming. You can also navigate up to the Blake Sea from there, which is quite a journey.
  8. Yay, it's always fun to see them around! My gifts are in question mark boxes this year. One by the candy and one inside. My neighbour also has an extra gifty thing as well as a candy bucket. (I think we're the only two people living on the region at the moment, but we're bringing the festivities on our own.)
  9. So far, the spreadsheet being put together is for people adding their own places. That makes more sense from a lot of angles (easier to maintain, no repeats, nobody upset if they hadn't wanted it shared, let's people add a note about the house if they want). I will make sure to find Cinnamon's house, because I'm here for spider hugs! But unless something goes terribly wrong, I'm aiming to go to every region again. There are just more of them this year.
  10. I can't tell you for sure if that's the only thing and is all that's needed. You could try cleaning up a couple and relisting and see how that goes.
  11. There's been quite a bit of region naming and border removal action on the main channel through the chalets. There's also a stilt region that looks ready to go (Sturmhafen). I'll likely be around later tomorrow, so thought I'd drop that for anyone who wants to watch for possible early releases.
  12. Harry Potter words in the title, description and tags is likely to be your problem based on what you've said. Given that they're poses and shapes, chances are that the products are fine. Just make sure not to name them or market them in any way that's connected to current books, films, games and other franchises. That includes spell names, character names, actor names... just don't go there. Also remove words like that from the products that were left alone. You might just have gotten away with stupefy because it's also a pretty common word, but I would change it now before there's a problem. You could contact support to see if there was more to it, though the Harry Potter connection is likely given they were wand poses and such.
  13. Nobody left to kill in Murder Village means the murders have been very successful! They should talk that up more.
  14. Can you explain exactly how you tried to update the item?
  15. How to tell that an account is adult has been covered, but worth mentioning about avatars. There's nothing official that marks the age of an avatar. It's a judgement based on how the avatar looks (which support doesn't usually do unless someone is reported). If your friend's avatar looks like a child or underage teen, she needs to switch avatars if she's planning on taking part in any adult content. If she's concerned that the avatar is a bit borderline, work on making the avatar look older.
  16. It certainly helped when I got too sick to really leave the house or even stand up very often. It was something I could do and still talk to people. I'm glad I had friends online when that all went down.
  17. They have changed things on no-housing regions before. Java Sprockets appeared and the community events board place was added. Repurposing some of those regions would be a sensible way to add in a few more community things (and does seem more likely than a theme reveal right now, but you never know, maybe they'll announce all the things at once).
  18. They were probably there on purpose if it wasn't an infohub area. Some bots are left in out-of-the-way places, like at the bottom of the ocean, because they don't need to be anywhere in particular.
  19. Or the next reveal was in 1985 and we all missed it!
  20. Not only does it not need to be inside the house, it's better not to put it inside the house. People will be wandering around looking for them, so it's best if it's visible from outside your parcel. For reasons I hope are obvious, we can't enter every house we see in the hopes that there's a bucket. We're not trying to annoy everyone who isn't taking part. Another thing that came up last time, check to see if you have forced teleport routing. If so, either turn it off or set the landing point outside your front door. A number of people posted slurls for their buckets last year and ended up trapping people inside their homes. (Locked doors and the landing point in the house is a silly combination at the best of times, but you really don't want it here.)
  21. You could join Governor Linden (also a hamster) and eat waffles though!
  22. The trick or treat event will be a good time to search around as we're out and about anyway (also possible others might do seasonal ones).
  23. I don't do weekly sales. I mainly shop at big events, which might have discounts, but it only really makes an impact for expensive items. Most of what I buy isn't that expensive. I just have a lot of it (little pets and stuff).
  24. Yay! As a request on holdables... including a non-scripted version makes things easier for non-human avatars.
