  1. Well, huh. The majority of those comments sound like they were penned by idiots. So silly. And SL is too "creepy"? Puh-lease. If only!
  2. I'm mostly redhaired and always freckled in SL. Amongst a few others, i do have one VERY dense freckle layer for all over the body but the store has since closed down. I'm sorry as i know this doesn't help you. However, i'd love to see what you come up with by yourself. Who knows, you may have a potential customer.
  3. Any shade of brown but not black. And no red highlights in it, please. I see this one hair all over the place on guys. It's so common i thought it must be the free male 'biker' hair that people go on about, but i inspected it once and it's not. Anyway, i don't like it!
  4. Thank you, all. I think i was asking too much of my viewer by having draw distance up high and turning on 'reflections' which is a new thing for me to try (and, as yet, unsuccessful). I've reduced the anti-aliasing (which didn't seem to be doing a lot) and i've changed my video card settings so that they'll enhance what the SL settings do, not over-ride. I've yet to see if this will make a difference or not. I hope i can get to take landscape pics on Firestorm. If not, i'll go back to V2.
  5. Why yes, yes i do. :matte-motes-grin:
  6. Hello, just a couple of questions. My video card is currently configured to handle anti-aliasing, etc. Would i get better results with SL snapshots if i let the SL viewer handle the anti-aliasing and turned it OFF on my graphics card settings? Or should i keep BOTH turned on? Secondly, does anyone have any experience of Firestorm crashing whilst trying to take snaps? Yes, i know this isn't a Firestorm forum; just asking. If i can't take snapshots with Firestorm then it's a total deal breaker, and i'm disappointed. :-( Thanks for any and all advice.
  7. Trying on things to wear always produces something surprising; I'll always end up wearing combinations of things i'd never otherwise have thought of. But it can also get very frustrating. Unless i throw on one of my few 'saved ' outfits, there's no such thing as getting ready in a hurry. :matte-motes-grin:

  9. Awesome! Thanks for linking to those Marianne. I just found some stuff i can use for my snapshots (mushroom sits / strawberry sits) at a fraction of what one normally pays. <3
  10. I think conservative is good, but asked this question because I see SO many women (the great majority) dressed provactive/revealing, and was just wondering if they do so because they are a sexy person their self, or if it's just done for a "power play". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sigh. Here we go again. The reason that you see most women ("the great majority") dressed in that particular way is, i don't doubt, because of the places you frequent. Your profile says it all.
  11. Well, regions can *all* utilise Windlight settings if they want. And we can use our own preferred windlight settings to view those locations too. So to call any region a 'windlight region' sounds odd and kind of inaccurate.
  12. You looked fine in both pics. There are a billion generic looking avies out there and their fashion sense runs likewise. Who would want to be one of them? I'm guessing you feel sensitive on this occasion 'cos you liked that guy and wanted him to like you back. But, honestly, if all he can do is play a crude gesture at you when you turn up looking original and, i might add, damn hot, then it's his loss.
  13. Some will like this new feature and have a use for it. I think it's a piece of piffle that i don't need. There are more than enough places to post vapid little soundbites as it is. I'm guessing those who already use FB and Twitter a lot will love this new feature. I don't and won't.
  14. However, if one was to use an auto response so that each IM conversation began with a statement that said something like; "by continuing this conversation you are agreing that you have read and understand the Terms of Service in regards to the disclosure of this IM conversation and it's contents, and furthermore consent to my disclosure if this conversation" Couldn't continuing a conversation after a direct statement like that be considered consent? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frankly, i'd be amazed if anyone chose to continue a conversation with you after they read the above. I certainly wouldn't. And i don't think you can simply assume consent using something like the clause you just quoted. Consent has to be explicit.
  15. I have 3GB of memory and use Windows Vista. When i run SL, i nearly always have my web browser and my email client open too; sometimes other things as well. I haven't noticed any major problems as regards crashing, etc. All in all, i'm pretty happy with it.
  16. @ Ishy From another perspective SL is all about building and creating. That's got to be pretty high on the list, too. :-) @ OP It depends where you hang out. If it's shopping sims, then you'll almost always find more females than males. However, remember we're talking avatars, not actual players ( <--- sorry, can't think of a more appropriate word at the moment).
  17. I get this problem at least once a month. This morning it happened to my alt and it took me ages to get her to rez. I only got her back when i logged out of Phoenix, logged back in using Viewer 2 (she rez'd), then logged back into Phoenix.
  18. I'm not sure if this goes here or not, but someone will know the answer for sure. Is it possible to purchase a pair of teleports that will tp me from one sim to another, or from a skybox to another region entirely (both my own)? I ask because i've looked on Marketplace and can only find ones that will take me to different locations within the same sim. I need grid-wide. I don't know where else to look. Anyone? PS. I've seen TP scripts for sale but i don't know how to add a script to an object. I can do simple stuff if i'm told how. Thanks. :matte-motes-dead:
  19. I'm sorry, i read quickly and missed the bit about a number of groups. In that case, i think it's a great idea (my crappy internet cut off as i was trying to type this so it looks like i'm just agreeing with everyone else, sigh).
  20. @ Jaylin, the same place has a male ballroom AO - a 25L 'lite' version and a full version. @ Sylvia, thank you again for digging up that thread. The AO works great, doesn't it?
  21. I second Pixel Mode and Similar Footwear. The latter are pricey but they look fantastic! You could also try Purrfect 10, Slink and NCore. If i think of any others off the top of my head i'll add them. 'Jaggies' often seem to appear around the ankles and wrists. AFAIK, it's just one of the things we have to put up with (or get prim hands/feet) :matte-motes-bored:
  22. I like your idea to a limited extent. Recently i've been trying to think up ways in which i might best be able to assist new folks but without getting myself "embroiled". A group such as you describe would give me the means to do that. On the minus side, the sheer numbers would surely make any such group unworkable. How would one manage the numbers, let alone the constant gesture spam and other nonsense that'd crop up? It's not that i take a dim view of all noobs per se; however, there will always be those whose sole raison d'etre is to disrupt and annoy. Do LL even have the staff available to monitor a group chat of that size? I think not. Volunteers might do it, though.
  23. LOL, Storm. That one grows in the telling. I'm almost certain it was 1K, not 2. :matte-motes-big-grin: It certainly did happen, though. *nods*
  24. Uhm. I think you meant to say "wonky". :matte-motes-big-grin:
  25. I found an amazing build in the Destination Guide, and i absolutely love it. I spent a couple of hours there yesterday and still haven't seen all there is to see. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Lemondrops%20Forest/102/65/23 There's a really quirky town with a river running inside it and a castle constructed entirely from -- well, i'll let you figure that one out for yourselves! :matte-motes-big-grin-squint: Enjoy!
