    Me too! Especially when I was a host, I used to think of it as my own personal fashion show. Any time I liked what someone was wearing I would inspect it to see who made it. Another thing I'd do was look at people's groups. In a crowded store, it's often easier to find the group in someone's profile than it is to find the group joiner in the store. And so often people will use their picks as an extended version of their about blurb.

    I created an account years ago. I wonder whatever happened to it? I don't think Musk buying it will have much of an impact on me. I never really got into it.

    I'm a bit ambivalent about property in general. While I understand that we all live in this world where you need money for things, and you get money for things and so things get passed back and forth and profit is exchanged, I don't believe this is the best we can do. I think there is way too much emphasis on the acquisition of things and it leads to a poorer quality of life for all. That being given, don't touch my stuff! But I wish I were not that way. I wish it were more like burning man where the goal is to give things away to everyone.

    The thing that really peeves me to no end is how my own IQ has suffered with age. It used to be so much easier to understand things than it is today. I know part of that is because my kidneys are failing and they are not doing the job they need to do to clean the blood supply to my brain. I'm hoping that once I start dialysis I will see some improvement. I really don't like feeling so confused.

    The simple truth is, you cannot control what other people do or think. There are people who come to SL who are just looking for the sexy time and they don't care about anything else. They may say rude things to you because they think rude things all the time to the exclusion of pretty much anything else. It's not about you, it's about them. While that sucks, it doesn't have to ruin your day. Just as we don't have any power over them, they don't have any power over us either. Ignore them, mute them and move the frick on.

    Oh I think blocking is an excellent tool. In world, I prefer derendering to blocking as I don't like seeing the grayed statues where the offensive avatar was. But in the forums, it's their words I don't want to see so blocking is the better tool. That being said, I don't find I need to use that particular tool that often. I only use it to avoid the tedium of scrolling past the opinions of those I don't respect.

    When I made my first alt, I did just that to start off. My first av had the same initials, but the names were different. I bought the same skin and hair, made the shape with the exact same specs and bought a lot of the same clothes. But Kali didn't feel like Katt. We had different AOs. And I thought of her as being younger and more carefree than the original. I made different choices. Sometimes, on purpose, I would choose to do something that my first impulse would be to do the opposite. I came to think of my alt as a therapeutic tool for me to explore different facets of my self.
