Here we go, this one is a more accurate decade spread that represents the flavor of a look I have worn often. The same hair maker too.

I’m not really a ‘mean’ person by nature though I am a bit feisty and snarky for sure. But with this talking problem I realized I’d just feel better and be able to deal with it quicker (and still be able to stay inworld to do my stuff!) by being direct and polite to friends and also (critical) that it’s perfectly ok to just completely ignore the inevitable randos, I don’t owe anyone any of my own free time unless I wish to spend it on them. It’s some of the most important, precious and finite currency we actually have.

But...what happens when the blacks don’t match? That’s what causes Emo, right? 🤣

I thought with so much talk and info on proportions and attention to posing and emphasis on mocap animations, people would have gotten past the tiny hands and ‘broken wrists’. The tiny hands badness, anyone can fix, a rough guide is to just make your hands large enough to fully cover your face from forehead to chin... the ‘broken wrist’ poses are either old pre-mesh-hand poses/animations that WILL distort mesh hands, or lazy creators that don’t make sure the kinematics are correct on NEW poses, animations, dances etc. RAWR. it’s some creepy-looking stuff.

Perception. It does tell a story but I’m sorry to burst the bubble, it’s actually expressing my recent ‘Fauve’ reaction to typist taking the deep breath and closing my eyes just before my very ill cat got the death needle. Please no ‘sad’ reacts, peeps....I really hate seeing them. Hearts only, for kitty.

I’d never get any inworld stuff done if I had to crash out, log off or otherwise pretend that it’s RL stuff calling me away. ‘I need to go do my ___ / work on my ___’ also works. I have a ‘lair’ where few are whitelisted, so I tp there. Autorespond with a message that my chat window is currently down carries the rest. I voice chat a lot though so many people I know and talk to can just tell by my voice when I get busy in photoshop or will follow the cue of the ‘chatting time is winding down’ tone I have and excuse themselves too. The sharp ones do, anyway. For text, I’m just polite but direct.

If it is someone I know, I politely tell them I need to go, with no circumstances explained. If it’s someone random who has just decided to talk to me, I ignore them (or) TP away.

Granted but now it randomly attaches to your forehead at parties and while you are just out and about, talks, waves about and animates your avatar in an interestingly bizarre series of interpretive dances. I wish my rl and SL closets were neater.

I think this is true in lots of cases buuuuut then there’s also always that pesky ‘no matter where you go, there you are’ thing. Some people get wise and make changes, it’s a good thing. But the ones that do it hoping for a different outcome without learning to grow and progress away from whatever was causing them difficulty in the first account (or the second, or the third), don’t seem to fare so well in the long run. And outfitting each alt nicely these days be pretty expensive! Not saying this is OP’s situation, but it’s maybe something to consider before people go making alts and investing time and L$ in it.

Some people go in a completely new direction, even a new account but yep, some just grow away from any useful or good SL purpose too, and find themselves unhappy and stressed no matter what and it’s better for their health and sanity to just let themselves leave. In the latter case, yes, I’d rip the bandaid and stop logging in. I’d keep my account for a while in case of change of mind though, probably. Good Luck 🍀

I would take a short but complete break, see how that feels, then decide from there. Many of us go on formal hiatus fairly regularly, for varying lengths of time, then return once rested and renewed with new appreciation.
