  1. I know this is a few hours behind, but if you're talking about the facial animations, I just make sure none of the expressions or moods are highlighted in the animations hud. If they're highlighted like the top left icon in this screenshot here, then click it so the background is dark like the others.
  2. Yeah... it's one of those things that Cannot Be Unseen. I believe the update to Maitreya 5.3 had some minor tweaks that minimized it somewhat. Thus far the only women's body I've seen that does a truly good shoulder/ upper arm is Belleza. Legacy has it. Maitreya has it, albeit in a less obvious form than it once did. I'm not sure on the older Slink bodies; I haven't had mine out in a good while. And I don't own any of the newer bodies out... but Belleza really did a beautiful job on that body part. I just wish Isis had better support, because I would be ALL over that lol
  3. If you go down to the gear icon on the HDPro Style Hud, third icon up from the bottom, there's an option to increase its size overall. I've got that sucker kicked up to max, and it's been really helpful for me. I've got cataracts that don't yet qualify for removal, so my entire life right now is lived in large print lol Regarding which is easiest, both the Catwa HDPro and Lelutka Evo/EvoX heads are super easy, and even moreso once you check out the tutorials. I've used both; my male alt wore the Evo head that was on special last year and I recently went through a ton of women's demos just for grins, and I currently wear the Catwa HDPro Queen. I stuck with Queen because it's just more "me" if that makes sense, and as I'm more accustomed to the Catwa HUD at this point it just feels really straightforward, admittedly likely in part due to exposure. Good luck! The hunt for a new head is never easy
  4. I do like the lower body shape, and the foot changing via animations. Where I have an issue is the upper arm/ shoulder area. It's got that "extruded pasta" look even moreso than my Maitreya, and honestly that's already the bane of my existence. I'll definitely try a demo because it might look better inworld than on a video, and it does appear to have some cool features. It'll be interesting to see if it picks up popularity.
  5. Victory is mine!!! Everything below 3000m is still day cycle/ standard type skies, but this parcel, at this elevation... has this fixed sky
  6. Thank you; it was the dragging I hadn't worked out. I'm aware it's an asset That was a tremendous selling-point of EEP when it was still in beta. I'll give it a shot when I get home to my computer.
  7. Not interferes, just is different. It's a feature of EEP that you can have different sky settings at different altitudes; I just haven't worked out how to make Sky 4 different from Ground, Sky 1, Sky 2, or Sky 3.
  8. There are five different options for setting skies, so you can have a different look for the sky at different altitudes, like if you wanted a different sky outside your skybox than at ground level. I'm trying to work out how to change one of those higher levels. Sky 4, to be precise, which is at 3000m altitude.
  9. Hi all I'm trying to work out how to set my sky different at the Sky 4 level... and I can't find out how to JUST change that part of my EEP settings. I'm happy with what I've got at all other levels (Ground, Sky 1, Sky 2, and Sky 3); I just want to put this ONE fixed sky up instead of the day cycles I have at all other levels. I've read Inara Pey's tutorial, the SL blog article, the SL Wiki article, and clearly I am missing something because nowhere do I see "This is how you do this thing, you dolt", which is apparently the level of instruction I need. Halp???
  10. Oh hooray! I'm glad you were able to get the issue solved
  11. I wear an HDPro head and I made some head alphas that solve the problem for me with hairs that misbehave. It's just an alpha layer that goes forward further on the head than the "hide skull" option in the hud. If you want to IM me inworld sometime, I can pass those to you and you can see if they help, if you'd like.
  12. My SL profile picture is of my avatar with my husband's avatar, and my first life picture is of our RL, much more aged selves. I'm pretty much the same person in either world, and I've already crossed the streams in epic fashion (we met in SL), so eh... In some of my houses, I have been known to stick a tiny RL picture under a fridge magnet or something. But that depends on location.
  13. As many above me have said, it's a bad idea. My life is my own, such as it is, and I don't need to be told when I can and cannot log into a virtual world. I'm 51 years old, and frankly, my time of taking orders (outside of those given by my employers) has passed. If I can't monitor the balance between SL and my RL, that's an issue I'd need to take up myself or with the aid of a qualified professional. Linden Lab need not intervene on my behalf
  14. Facebook has a "block" function. I use it to great effect. That said, no one needs to join Facebook; lots of my friends leave it alone due to various business practices.
  15. I absolutely love Isis, especially the shoulders... but again, no clothing support I hate it, but I guess it is what it is.
  16. Traded in my Traditional for a Fantasy home. I'm never leaving ❤️
  17. If you want to check out my profile inworld, we've got a bunch of beachy rentals with protected water access to the Blake Sea. I'm around often, and we have other longer-term tenants as well. Granted, that's not in terms of years; we're just now reaching one year of owning the region. But things are picking up, and it's cool being able to share the region with other SL residents
  18. I'm 3 and 4. We own quite a bit of mainland, and my main area is our Blake Sea region, which I enjoy beyond measure. I like the Bellisseria area because all of my LI goes to decor, not to having to plonk down a house, plus I just enjoy the aesthetics of the planned communities. And then for my retreat from everyone else, I rent a parcel in a multi-region private estate. It's a mountain home, which is unlike anything else I have inworld.. and I adore it
  19. I believe SL has always been clear that our creations are ours, including the copyright thereto.
  20. This. I own a club along with my husband and one of our friends, and although tips are nice, we'd much rather folks came regardless of their ability to tip Regarding "the friendship rules" I'm horrible at reaching out, which would put me on a level many folks here wouldn't like. I just always worry that I'm bothering folks or interrupting or whatnot. It's another reason why folks won't get blind TP offers from me for our club, because... well, you know we own the joint, there's a LM in my profile, we've got a calendar and stuff, so I assume if it's your thing you'll drop by, and if it's not you won't. No shade if it's the latter; I'm pretty reclusive myself much of the time, so I get the urge to hide/ work on builds/ creative pursuits/ sail/ fish... shoot, I'll even sit on a bench and feed chickens, just because I can. I need to do better with the reaching out thing though, I can tell; it's not fair to put all the onus for contact on everyone else, plus it's nice to have people to talk to. I like humans, I'm just somewhat unnerved by them much of the time. But if anyone wants to drop by and say hi, region links are in my profile. I tend to be around
  21. I met my husband inworld; we partnered in 2007, and got married RL in 2009. Still at it in both worlds I also have friends I've met through SL who I've also met RL... and some SL friends I've never met in the physical world, but who are still good friends nonetheless. Whether you view Second Life as a game or not -- I tend to view it as a 3D chat environment on steroids with built-in build tools -- there are real people behind the avatars, and when you mix people, you're going to be mixing emotions on some level.
  22. I tend to prefer Vista and am using Miriam as a base, but like others I've deleted and added animations, and at this point I use the Firestorm viewer AO to lessen my script load. The Alchemy viewer also has a built-in AO; I'm not sure about any beyond that.
  23. Yikes! We don't have that issue. We pay their fee, and they have their tip jar while we have ours. Easy-peasy
  24. From my experience (a few venues lately), most DJs and hosts are now paid by tips only as opposed to a flat rate plus tips. Live artists still are generally paid for their gigs -- between 3,000 and 6,000 lindens per gig, although that can go WAY up for some performers -- but some venues are able to garner tip-only performers due to their popularity/ longevity/ etc. Our venue isn't at the level where we have artists banging on our doors to perform for tips only lol -- so we only have two live artists, whom we pay, and who we believe are well worth the expense
