  1. I absolutely love Isis, especially the shoulders... but again, no clothing support I hate it, but I guess it is what it is.
  2. LOL -- that I'm sure of. I have one or two items out from a popular creator that are outright appalling
  3. Traded in my Traditional for a Fantasy home. I'm never leaving ❤️
  4. Note to self: have Orwar come over and check this stuff, because my eyes are crossing
  5. If you want to check out my profile inworld, we've got a bunch of beachy rentals with protected water access to the Blake Sea. I'm around often, and we have other longer-term tenants as well. Granted, that's not in terms of years; we're just now reaching one year of owning the region. But things are picking up, and it's cool being able to share the region with other SL residents
  6. I'm 3 and 4. We own quite a bit of mainland, and my main area is our Blake Sea region, which I enjoy beyond measure. I like the Bellisseria area because all of my LI goes to decor, not to having to plonk down a house, plus I just enjoy the aesthetics of the planned communities. And then for my retreat from everyone else, I rent a parcel in a multi-region private estate. It's a mountain home, which is unlike anything else I have inworld.. and I adore it
  7. I believe SL has always been clear that our creations are ours, including the copyright thereto.
  8. This. I own a club along with my husband and one of our friends, and although tips are nice, we'd much rather folks came regardless of their ability to tip Regarding "the friendship rules" I'm horrible at reaching out, which would put me on a level many folks here wouldn't like. I just always worry that I'm bothering folks or interrupting or whatnot. It's another reason why folks won't get blind TP offers from me for our club, because... well, you know we own the joint, there's a LM in my profile, we've got a calendar and stuff, so I assume if it's your thing you'll drop by, and if it's not you won't. No shade if it's the latter; I'm pretty reclusive myself much of the time, so I get the urge to hide/ work on builds/ creative pursuits/ sail/ fish... shoot, I'll even sit on a bench and feed chickens, just because I can. I need to do better with the reaching out thing though, I can tell; it's not fair to put all the onus for contact on everyone else, plus it's nice to have people to talk to. I like humans, I'm just somewhat unnerved by them much of the time. But if anyone wants to drop by and say hi, region links are in my profile. I tend to be around
  9. I met my husband inworld; we partnered in 2007, and got married RL in 2009. Still at it in both worlds I also have friends I've met through SL who I've also met RL... and some SL friends I've never met in the physical world, but who are still good friends nonetheless. Whether you view Second Life as a game or not -- I tend to view it as a 3D chat environment on steroids with built-in build tools -- there are real people behind the avatars, and when you mix people, you're going to be mixing emotions on some level.
  10. I tend to prefer Vista and am using Miriam as a base, but like others I've deleted and added animations, and at this point I use the Firestorm viewer AO to lessen my script load. The Alchemy viewer also has a built-in AO; I'm not sure about any beyond that.
  11. Yikes! We don't have that issue. We pay their fee, and they have their tip jar while we have ours. Easy-peasy
  12. From my experience (a few venues lately), most DJs and hosts are now paid by tips only as opposed to a flat rate plus tips. Live artists still are generally paid for their gigs -- between 3,000 and 6,000 lindens per gig, although that can go WAY up for some performers -- but some venues are able to garner tip-only performers due to their popularity/ longevity/ etc. Our venue isn't at the level where we have artists banging on our doors to perform for tips only lol -- so we only have two live artists, whom we pay, and who we believe are well worth the expense
  13. There are some freebie/ cheap "blink only" AOs out there also; I used those on my Genus before I got a facial AO from Vista (the Genus moods also bugged me, plus they'd not stay on and I'd have to restart them)
  14. My favorite is cream cheese pound cake. This is the recipe I use here, although I like to use vanilla bean rather than extract (flecks make me happy). The key to making sure it bakes through is to ensure all ingredients are fully room temperature, not chilled. Given time, I'm pretty sure I could plow through a whole one by myself.
  15. Because no one who's reading this has land to fit your required specifications.
  16. I have epic RBF in the physical world. We can only be grateful my avatar doesn't have quite as much skill with that look as I.
  17. I met my husband the first day I rezzed in, so... 2007? We're still together though, so I don't know if it's really a case of "losing" my heart as I know exactly where it is.
  18. My first car was a powder blue 1988 Dodge Shadow; one year in, it developed a horrible habit of stalling in the middle of left-hand turns... in front of oncoming traffic. I learned to drive in my mother's station wagon. She had two 8-track cassettes: Barry Manilow and Air Supply.
  19. I'm one of those folks whose SL and RL overlap quite a bit. I met my RL husband in SL, our RL picture is on my first life tab (caution: I am NOT 23 in RL, so stay away from that tab if you talking to me means you're going to lose it that my typist is over 50), and I'm very clear I'm not looking for romance. All that said... that's just me. I don't give a rat's rear end what your typist's gender is. I take you as you present. I can see some non-romantic circumstances where it would matter (like the trans-specific groups mentioned), but in my SL you're just... you. As you choose to appear in the pixels. RL info adds a layer, and I'm cool with hearing about people's RL, I just don't feel like it's a requirement for friendship. Others' mileage varies, of course.
  20. I figure Ajay just stomps around, glowers, and generally looks annoyed because I'm inworld so much she never gets any dang free time.
  21. I wear a Genus head, and I affirm what Marianne said. You may want to look into purchasing a makeup cleaner such as the one she recommended (I mean, it's 9 lindens, which is pretty cheap). I believe, from what you're saying, that you're using makeup appliers rather than Bakes on Mesh layers. As far as the issue with the eyeliner pointing downward, it's likely due to edits you've made to your face's shape, or something innate within its structure. I personally haven't run into this. You'll either need to keep trying demos to find one that works better with your current shape, or play around with your face's shape (especially around the eyes' outer corners) to see if that fixes the eyeliner issue. Good luck!
