  1. Yup. Corned Beef does not involve hitting Cows with Corn. Just in case ever wanna D.I.Y. it.
  2. Ad respondendum quaestio originale. Ego puto illic es duos valde sapidum cibum. Sed secundum Wikipedia. Orange Iulium et Caesar Salad non Romanus sunt. Ita... eh?
  3. Places and Events Forum / Games in Second Life subforum is not viewable unless signed into the Forums. 1) the title of the most current (trending?) thread in the sub forum is not visible, just the name of the last poster in said thread 2) when clicking to see the subforum, I get the error. ----------------------------------------------- Sorry, there is a problem You do not have permission to view this content. Error code: 1F176/3 ---------------------------------------------- Tested on Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, Edge, IE. Given that one can see all the other forums and subforums without signing in, I'm assuming is a configuration error.

  8. *waves a bat "Ready, Set, Play Ball!"
  9. Probably have a hidden Super Duper God Mode, but it only runs on a commodore 64.. so....
  10. Duh! Helicopter rotors ... shift copied and flew there.
  11. Oh Death Ball Regions been around for years. I noticed them one time and thought... Cool Name! & Blue Stuff with things that look like Helicopter rotors sticking out. So was filed in memory under 'Super Smurf Copter'
  12. Ooooo! Cool Name! *shakes fist "If It's not some sneaky Mole trickery....."
  13. .. And again... Whirly is Magic! Looked at the Jira, unable to add a comment -- or figure out how? But to add to what Oz asked. With using MOAP and the Browser type controls. It is much easier for the end user (Land Owner and Guests) to change the URL. Example being Youtube.com/some video to Youtube.com/another video and use the MOAP whitelist for the domain to keep the selections within reason. If you want to do that using parcel media, you have to script a dohicky that has all the preapproved URLs listed and a dialog to choose it. (and forgot this) Regarding the MOAP fix, you might want to include in LlSetPrimMediaParams ( PRIM_MEDIA_PERMS_INTERACT) a PRIM_MEDIA_PERM_LAND as additional option. This would allow for guests to work the screen without any clicky neighbor drama. Already added a locked mode to my screens, so is no biggie. But something as silly as friends watching and making rude comments about youtube vids can be some fun times (reason to get some land)
  14. This is kinda a specific technical question, and it may be better answered by staff, or is already a jira somewhere... but. Given that chat (say, whisper, and shout) is broadcast in an circle & Land is generally in squares and rectangles. Including the consideration that Linden Homes are closely packed and often rectangles, arrayed such that portions of the neighbors house & land are closer to your avatar than part of your own land. Is there any work being done to have scripted objects that chat on channel zero (nearby / local chat) respect a setting that would function similar to restricting avatar view and chat. For example: If I set my parcel to not let my chat be broadcast to the neighbors, there is no need for them to hear that I am using the 'boing-boing' animations on my furniture (No worries, is just jumping up and down on the couch). Conversely there is no need for me to hear their scripted dohicky say how "***** so ***** that ****** and ***** with ***** made ****" Now more often it is a neighboring mainland parcels dohicky that is chat (Shout) spamming "blah blah... buy this.... blah blah .. so and so is evil" It's not really something that bothers me, Click Click, block and move on. But do you think that having an actual land setting so your customer can set their area to 'auto mute' things like that would be 'A good thing?' And could we see something like that Soon? Similar to that, MOAP (Media on a Prim) use is based on a circular distance from the avatar. So like in the case of Objects chatting on nearby chat. One can be watching Youtube on MOAP on their own land, but unbeknownst to them... their neighbor is tuned to (maybe even without their knowing) something.something/stealyerstuff/scamsite. Now that may seem a bit "OMG! THE END IS NIGH!" So correct me if I am thinking on this wrongly, but the browser built into the viewer is basically a older version of chromium, right? Without the option to add stuff like uBlock extension (Add blockers, script blockers, etc), right? So maybe having the ability to blanket stop MOAP at parcel boundary would be 'A good thing'?
  15. Oh... Now that I think about it more. Patch's Flicker Pictures. I am not seeing anything that reminds me of the Cornfield. So... No hitting things with a piece of wood? or a Chainsaw? ?
  16. Remember *jumps up and down* Texture Pack! (well I used the Sculptys too for the older Linden home) Grayson type houses don't have a light on the back patio. https://gyazo.com/01be61a499c8ea78c57bd07045f942e2 and since the 50% LI increase... can use that extra to put a shell over the front light too. Just so the Alts don't feel sad that they can't use the lights. https://gyazo.com/25c93eb36fc3057358433f4809f37c1a
  17. These 3 have a Linden Realms look to them https://www.flickr.com/photos/patchlinden/42837037795/in/dateposted/ , https://www.flickr.com/photos/patchlinden/30015993648/in/dateposted/ , https://www.flickr.com/photos/patchlinden/43482482954/in/dateposted/ These 2 have a Horizions Level One look to them https://www.flickr.com/photos/patchlinden/43976302211/in/dateposted/ , https://www.flickr.com/photos/patchlinden/29246315367/in/dateposted/ This one Looks like it is from Paleoquest Level Two https://www.flickr.com/photos/patchlinden/30349383858/in/dateposted/ Just hope they remember to have actual texture packs for new homes. Like was done for the Linden Homes. Unlike the Horizions homes. And would be nice to include the PRIM_POINT_LIGHT numbers (even though that didn't take too much trial and error to match) and the llParticleSystem (llLinkParticleSystem) data for any fireplaces (*mumbles and mutters "well that one was close enough") Looket! See! Anyone, the alts (me, me, the other me, and the me that the first three think is weird) on my house's land can work the lights, but passersby can't. if (user){ list avatarsInParcel = llGetAgentList(AGENT_LIST_PARCEL, []); integer result; if (~(result = llListFindList(avatarsInParcel, [user]))) { flip_lightSwitch();}
  18. The Linden Homes regions flying game: Assume all houses protected by ban lines. Ban lines follow the Outline of the home and the paving stones (very easy to see on the meadowbrook and the tahoe styles). The Trees are mostly Phantom. So..... 1) Get a smaller aircraft 2) Stay below rooftops when flying. 3) and GO REAL FAST! Is very FUN! Kinda like flying the Death Star trench in Star Wars. Ban lines instead of lasers! Sec Orbs in Linden homes: Not really makes sense to me. If ya only have 175li, use the ban lines. Again reiterating they follow the visual cues of the house and paving stones. If you really want an access control for the Linden Home that you and alts can use. Is doable to script a dohicky so your premium owner and your 'selected avatars' can work the banline access. It would be REALLY REALLY COOL! If in the Mini-map there was an option for banline parcels to be colored bright warning red. Just no beeping klaxon.
  19. One thing I noticed with log in times, when comparing alts. Compare the size of friends list, compare the number of groups, factoring in the size of the groups too. Also a rough comparison of how busy a region, not just the number of Avas, but the amount of Stuffs. For me ...Shy builder alt with lot more stuffs and things in inventory logs a lot faster, than social shopping group going avatar. So kinda implies to me anyway that the other wires are full.
  20. Another one of those ideas that I had rattling around in my head. This one to use up empty mainland and shift the use from large customers to smaller ones. I suppose it is a trick of juggling purchase price, location, and covenant stuff. Not saying there is anything wrong with a Full Bright Pup Tent, but N.I.M.B.Y.! So looking at what we have now... 1) Madlands - purchase price, pick what ever spot you want (can afford), no covenant stuff (well other than Bay City, etc & other than content rating), no preexisting home 2) Linden Homes - no purchase price, random spot, covenant stuff with a preexisting home (sure the neighbor can put a Full Bright Pup Tent on the Roof, but.. don't seem to happen often) so maybe.... need option 3 - Use existing abandoned land apportioned into a mix of 512m2 and 1024m2 parcels. - Possibility holding some of the region in reserve to make the parcels prim bonus land (but not a full double prim parcel.. more like 1.2 prim bonus) - Figure a fixed cost for a parcel at a shade below 1L/sqm. (or a shade over 1L/sqm if there is a prim bonus). So the prices would be around $L500 for a 512m2 parcel - Random Parcel assignment - NO RESALE - No Preexisting home, so build what ever ya want with in region guidelines. --- And Use a Web Interface thingie like the Get a Linden Home Stuff, so you pay that for the land --- Dunno might be a good thing? Is kinda halfway between the Madlands & Linden Homes. I figure having a Price on getting the land, but a LOW price, will minimize people getting and dropping of the Land, so there is a little visual / aesthetic / performance stability. Now there is Risk associated with Random Parcel assignment, but if they wanna pay more.. pick and buy a parcel. And throwing this in here too. On the Agenda is New Linden homes so while they may be packed in Horizions Style rezzers, having the option to have a blank Linden Homes parcel might actually result in less of a difference between Mainland and Linden Homes regions, but not in a good way. More in a 'ZOMG! There is the Full Bright Pup Tents" kinda way. So that is why maybe making option 3 would be useful? Kinda that midpoint between juggling purchase price, location, and covenant stuff.
  21. Okay the Method you describe is for Parcel Media. Parcel Media : if a thing in Parcel has a specified texture on a face. It plays the 'Specific' URL listed in the viewer, not just anypage associated with a domain. You can script a thing using LLParcelMediaCommandList that allows you to interface w/o having to change the 'Specific' Youtube URL BUT ... No DO That! Media on a Prim is a TOTALLY Different thing. Forget all the stuff you did earlier involving About Land / media Media on a Prim (MOAP): makes the thing that works like a browser window , like you are talking about with the clicky right click on prim & select face find the pull down that says Materials & change it to media https://gyazo.com/519bea9421c650c5200ea3d875813942 click things to see what it does -- and for You Tube Playlist autoplay: Looks like ya have to leave the MOAP face to Anyone can touch. *Typed while watching a Youtube playlist on my TV made that way. But.. THEY DON'T automagically sync. People have to all click start at the same time. Think of MOAP as making the face of a prim become a pass thru browser from your PC to the URL. Oh and this is kinda fun. If you are in the same group as the MOAP Objects rez group. Just drag a WebBrowser Bookmark into the viewer and on to the media face. If you Bring your own video server, you can use Parcel Media to sync.. I think.
  22. This Function is not available on the default viewer, but.... on Firestorm. Right Click and refresh textures. This works for things that are borked Sculpt maps too.
  23. Now that I am more awake! For the Explorers out there.... There are parts of Magellan's Grid Quest still scattered about the Grid. I didn't have Premium access then, so I never actually played the 'Quest', but it sent you to some still working fun destinations like Pyri Peaks Other places are around that I think were more of a waypoint. You find a clue, go to next clue stations. Some of it still kinda mostly works, you might have to cam to sit and a few other jump around tricks.... But is adventure! You can be an SL Archaeologist! *whispers* One Clue: Look at the main map. Compare the Linden Home Continents. Note unusual / different geographical features. Explore!
  24. Random guess, but since you did switching from URL2 back to URL1 (and assuming didn't switch parcels) It implies that the viewer is saying. If URL1 was okay before, so now it is auto-okay again.. when switching from URL2 back to URL1
  25. Was part of Magellan’s Grid Scavenger Hunt, circa 2013.
