So working on a sim as one of the staffs, its been our job to keep an eye on others to make sure they are following rules and not being trolls or minges. One of the major problems we have is we have an avatar cap at 20 and its hard to keep track to see who is afk or not. I looked at security orbs all over market place but can't find any that have built in AFK kickers if a person has been inactive for more then a set period of time. I would like one that tracks how long someone has been idle and sends a message to respond if they are AFK and if they don't respond will be sent home. I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations on what to use or where to look.
Somewhat to my surprise, the Linden Homes areas allow security orbs. I was just shot down by one while overflying in an aircraft in Violin. This may be some local feud; ban lines are rare in Linden Homes areas, but two adjacent houses there both have different defensive measures. I overflew one parcel with a security orb and got the threat, then hit the ban line of the other one. While trying to get out of that, I was shot down by the security orb. Very annoying combo. We really need a better solution to those things. There's an effort underway to map security orbs and ban lines for aircraft usage. That may help.
Okay so someone messaged my business partner today telling him that the security orb on my land which is at 32 feet and detecting a range of 256 somehow gave them a message at their store which is at 1000 feet. Is this actually possible? I checked the history on the orb for the last detections and their name is nowhere and the list goes back 7 days so I don't understand how it detected them up there and didn't show them on the detection list. They've had sales this morning and nobody has messaged to say the orb showed up for them. Any ideas why this might have happened?
