I find glamocracy hairbases look best with fabrix square hairs, there’s a couple others that really work well, but they have to be really photorealistic and really, truly black.

Agree 100%. Not only that but, the “discussion” will just be skipping around any salient point, cherry picking some straw man points and really bad attempts at “shredding” someone else. In other words, not a discussion.

We’re Canadian, we love politics. This forum just isn’t the place for it from my experience.

1) I’m surprised it went this way to be honest. Usually there are a few people that jump in the discussion that say they use voice for business or that using voice is much, much easier because they typo a lot or something like that. 2) I don’t think it’s generational though. I’m a millennial (31) and I use a mic all the time when I play video games, both console and pc. The thing is, some games are so toxic, I will turn off my mic in pubs because some communities, once they hear a female voice...well it’s just not pretty. Also, people often discount that there are younger people that are on SL. The trolling community is still pretty big in SL and it’s solely dependent on voice to make good content. I’m not saying younger users are trolls, but a lot of younger users do intergrate SL into YouTube channels and they use voice too.

I used to be allllll about voice. I think when I started, voice was a fairly new feature in SL and voice was a fairly new feature on the internet in general. It was a novelty, to be able to “talk to people on the computer.” Yes, I was one of those horrible people that judged you if you didn’t use voice. I think because I use headphones, years of ambient noises just wore me down: dogs barking, gestures, someone just randomly screaming somewhere. After a few years of it, it went from being a novelty to just being annoying. It started when windows 10 came out and there was a weird bug that made everyone using windows 10 sound like a robot. You always had to turn your volume up or down to hear people, or use Skype because the sound quality was better, but that bug was the last straw and it just ugh. Then one day it just didn’t work at all and I turned the sound completely off. I turn on the sound when I’m at a club or there’s live music, but for the most part, I’m listening to my own music when I’m in world. I don’t feel like there’s much of a use for it like I did before, I’m a texter anyway and my real life job I talk to people all day with a headset on. I’ll turn my mic on really quickly to curse somebody out though.

I understand completely. I had a genus head since the beginning, the first beta and their group was a hot mess for a loooooong time because people just didn’t understand how to use the head. Even in the beta, people were complaining about it not being complete....it was in beta. I never complained about the eyes when they were weird because well...that was the first thing I changed, I took them out and put different ones in. Since I was there from the beginning working around the problems just isn’t unusual to me. It didn’t have an animation hud at first, so I found a generic animation hud that worked with it. I’d say it’s not a head for people that aren’t really familiar with some of the finer points of SL, like adjusting things, replacing things and working around things. I can’t really say it’s a difficult head to use. It just has its own unique set of problems people aren’t used to. That’s why I was saying, you can’t get a genus head and expect it to be like a catwa or a Lelutka. A lot of things just work differently.

I like my genus head, in fact I own all three of them: classic, baby and strong. They’re good heads and I didn’t have a problem with the hud at all, I found it pretty intuitive to use. Then again, I was a fan of the genesis lab heads too. I just like the aesthetics of the head. I can’t wait for them to come out with the strange face too. I will admit the animations are a little lacking and glitchy though, but vista has a whole animation hud that is completely compatible with genus heads. You also have the chrysanthemum, happy dispatch and strangely enough lelutka’s axis huds all work just fine. Strangely enough, I’m not a fan of the teeth either. They look too small for the head to me. People with little teeth creep me out. There’s a workaround for that too, I use catwa teeth! They are bigger and look nicer. Genus has a lot of workarounds. Also not a fan of BoM relays. Which they came out with. So far only Slink and Lelutka have done BoM right, imo. It’s more of a quibble at this point because a lot of skin makers just haven’t converted to BoM, so I’m ok without it for now. People get very tribal about their mesh parts, so there’s going to be some seriously strong feelings. I think all of the heads have really good pros and cons and you can’t go in expecting Genus to be like Catwa or Lelutka or vice versa. Try them all out, don’t make a decision immediately, play around with different shapes and skins and you’ll come up with your own pros and cons and you can make a decision that is right for you.

Keep in mind your skin actually has a painted on butt crease. In other words, most skins have a painted on slightly darker shading on the bottom of your butt. It’s normal, certain poses will make it appear as a line. It’s there to simulate a shadow.

That’s because it’s not. I work on the government side of things and I talk to thousands of people a year, no exaggeration. There are cases of fraud, sure but we’re talking 1-2% of cases that involve benefits/assistance. I’d say about a good quarter of people I speak to don’t even seek them out until it’s their absolute last resort. That’s simply because of the stigma attached to them. Its a pretty common misconception.

Looks like you aren’t wearing an alpha to hide your system body. Pop that on and apply the skin to the mesh body, because it also looks like you haven’t applied a skin to the mesh body, which is why it’s white.

I think if you buy slink elegant hands you’ll get slink dynamic hands(which are bento) with an elegant hands static setting. You are better off just getting nails for slink dynamic hands simply for the fact that you’ll be using bento hands on a static setting. It’s kind of like getting a sports car and only driving in first gear.

I like the idea and sentiment, but I agree with this. There are plenty of spa type places, the problem is most spa sims I’ve ever been to have been empty and I’ve seen some nice ones, same with beauty/nail salons. I think co-Ed would work, because ultimately it’ll just be a bunch of us hanging out in bathing suits in a pool/sauna, chatting.
