I said something about it when it came out. Got greeted with “Nooooo! I enjoy the shopping experience!!!” I was sitting there like: you enjoy being in a laggy place, rubber banding, waiting for vendors to load, etc, etc?” Apparently, we were in the minority and people really do enjoy those things.

Remember when they were “events?” Cyclically changing shopping venues are exactly what they are now. It used to be “Omg X opens tomorrow!” You’d marvel at the sim and how creatively it was done. Now it’s like “X opens tomorrow, will they have anything worth buying?” Or “Yeah, x opened yesterday...I bought like 2 things.” I really wish HUD shopping caught on.

I’m really excited to play “elf on a shelf” with my kids when the time comes! Everybody I know that does it says it’s a pita, but I’m cheesy like that.

French-Canadian Christmas isn’t all that exotic. We used to go to midnight mass on Christmas Eve. Then we’d come home and have dinner, which always had two staples: turkey and a meat pie called a tourtiere. Everybody has their own way of making tourtiere in Montreal, but ours always had venison, potatoes and onions. This year will be my first year trying to make one on my own since my mother passed. New traditions: since I married a Puerto Rican, I’ve had to adopt some new ones. Everybody makes a eggnog-like drink called coquito. Everybody gets together on Christmas Eve and eats dinner. Pork shoulder called pernil gets made, I have to do the turkey, empanadas with ground beef and others have guava. It’s pretty exotic to me. There’s other things, I can’t remember or don’t know what it’s called that is pretty danged good. Then we exchange gifts at midnight. Christmas is a pretty chilled day.

Yeah, this is the first roll out that I just haven’t been able to get into. The whole thing has just been....ugh. The funny thing was I liked the idea of BoM. I was excited for it. Then it came out and it was just like *raspberry*. New makeup, new skins, skin I’m not happy with. I’ll wait a little while.

Some of them are deceptively smooth and Strong. Doesn’t taste like anything until you try to get up! It probably is a millennial thing to say “I drink sake” but, I also went to Spain last summer and picked up a vermouth habit too. On the wine front I’m all about a gewertztraminer or anything semi sweet.

I agree, I think there’s good stuff in here! I just think it’s more interesting than the usual passive aggressive and frivolous stuff. I just think it’s funny that it came from a troll post and I don’t think the original intent was this....whatever you want to call it happening. It was a good steam valve....
