I just noticed something strange and was wondering if someone could explain it. The clear image is how it looks when I'm viewing my own profile. The blurry image is when I'm viewing her profile picture from an alt. Both using Firestorm. Can someone look my profile up and tell me which one they see?

Are furry avatars required to visit?

Because we are just talking about pixels here... a "hot mess" in pixels doesn't mean they are a "hot mess" in personality. Actually, it's been my experience that some avatars who don't care about their superficial appearance have a much less superficial personality.

I recently started getting into the Gatcha business... by accident. It started with just wanting some items for myself, and then I found I had many extras. So I made a MP store. But being a MP shopper, I know gatchas can be annoying. I've been working on revamping how I sell Gatchas to be less annoying. Some things I do are as follows. Any other suggestions are welcome. 1. I take the time to find the highest resolution photo I can. I crop the main thumbnail to be the actual item. This sure does take some extra time on my part, but my hope is that it is easier on the eyes. 2. I only list a maximum of two of any item. This way I'm not flooding my store, or the main market with a ton of duplicates. It also gives other gatcha sellers a better way to set prices. If I list six of the same rare, when there is only one up from another seller, I inflate the idea of just how rare this item is and thus lower its perceived value. This might not be the case. I recently got three of the same rare in a row, even though there weren't many up on the MP. I just got lucky. 3. I do my best to correctly categorize and use the correct keywords.

This reminds me of an interesting video about the evolution of makeup. The person was explaining how a lot of the makeup we wear exaggerates signs of fertility -- our lips and cheeks become a bit more pink when we are in our fertility phase, our eyes darken, etc.

Well, the video I used had two examples. One was an Elon Musk interview, she said that he looks down to the left and that it means he is accessing memory. His answers to the question are tied to memory. Another was Pharma Bro, Martin Shkreli. Now, this one was a bit contentious. She said she didn't really know anything about him. So her assessment of the interview was that he looks up because he's extremely intelligent and is thinking visually or spatially, seeing the big picture.

I watched something recently where the person said it could also mean they are very smart and think visually and spatially.

I get this. But it’s just not how I see it. Maybe it’s because I’m not looking for anything romantic in Second Life. Because if I was, your real life looks would be way more important than Barbie dress up. Not to say I’m shallow, but I do agree with your point that we are drawn to what is attractive. I also consider Second Life a “game.” One of hundreds that I’ve played. There have been a few people I’ve been attracted to in games before but only after we transferred our friendship beyond just the game. It’s pretty much drilled in my head no one is what they look like because I’ve yet to see an elf or orc or gnome.

I’m not judging anyone. This is my personal take on it. I find the idea of myself judging another human being based on their avatar silly. I’m talking to a human. Most likely one that looks absolutely nothing like their avatar. I can’t even imagine dating in SL and making any sort of connections of attractiveness between pixels and flesh.

Did anyone else catch this comment, where the person who thinks everyone sucks in Second Life’s ears perked up and is able to recognize kindness when it involves someone giving you money?

Is there a way to retrieve items I moved to my marketplace folder? I put some gatchas in there, but I would like to sell a few at a stall instead. Solution: 1. Unlist the item 2. Drag and drop the folder from the marketplace to your inventory 3. Hit confirm when the warning pops up

Check to see if your head came with a hud as well. My head has an 'animation hud' which has the option to fixate my gaze.
